Everett James Thompson

I've been in the spotlight since I was born, thanks to my famous parents. Reaper and Harmony have been the gold standard when it comes to celebrity love stories. It's hard to be in that shadow, to live up to that precedent.

Which is why I stopped trying when my band, Grey Skies hit the big time.

But when I go to Vegas to support my Mom, in her new residency, I have absolutely no idea I'll leave Vegas with a new pop-star wife.

Brianna Jenkins

As one of the top pop-stars in the world right now, I don't have time for anything. Much less love, or even a night out.
When my best friend surprises me with tickets to the sold-out Harmony Stewart show in Vegas on my one off weekend of the month, I'm beyond excited. Especially when we find out our seats are next to her family. Harboring a crush on her oldest son added with a few more drinks than I normally have equals consequences neither one of us bargained for.

The next morning, I wake up no longer Brianna Jenkins, pop star.

I'm Brianna Jenkins, member of the new power couple, about to take the world by storm.

Whether we want to, or not.

One very special night, a beautiful girl by your side, lots of fun, alcohol in unlimited quantities and the magic of Las Vegas….. What can go wrong? Don’t they say what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas?
But the morning slowly chases away the magic of the night, the tedious and hangover thoughts slowly start to clear up, the gorgeous vixen is still there with a beautiful ring on her hand…The way out is so simple for the ordinary people, but not for those who are constantly in front of the public eye, there is no easy way out. Pressure from all sides, the fame comes to collect the debt of one thoughtless decision…Mixed feelings overwhelm everything, one simple solution, yet so complex at the same time. Few months in a marriage bliss…how hard can that be?
That’s the story of Briana and E.J- two music stars who end up married after one wild night in Las Vargas. Total strangers who have to accept the conditions or their careers will suffer. Just some acting and some time together…but what will happen when the acting becomes their true lives and their feelings? When what they get was the thing they needed without even knowing?
With a bit cliché-laden beginning, and an interesting storyline, this book will really keep you hooked from the beginning to the end. The characters are so adorable. E.J with his bad boy exterior and an endearing personality is every girl’s dream come true. Hot-as-hell, extremely attentive ad passionate, he’ll have you drooling in no time. Bri, on the other hand is a bit insecure and vulnerable, yet strong enough to overcome her fears and reach for what she wants. Eager to be loved and accepted, marked by a harsh family relationship, she’s a perfect choice for him. And the two of them together- absolute perfection and fireworks on all sides. The mutual attraction and that amazing chemistry unite them in the beginning, add some real life problems and we end up with a book that can keep us engaged for hours.
Well, this is a really sweet story of two people who are trying to overcome the obstacles in order to find happiness. Well-written and filled with witty banter, sexy and cute moments, without too much angst, this is definitely a great choice for lazy, afternoon read.

A very solid start to this couple's journey! It's sexy and swoony with just a touch of sweetness. And, yes, this does end on a major CLIFFHANGER. I've been meaning to check out this author's work for awhile now, and this rock star romance will definitely have me coming back for more. I wasn't so sure about this hero at first, but he quickly won me over and became one of the best parts of the story. It's a quick, steamy read that's got drama but doesn't get too heavy. And there's zero OW drama in this installment, which is a major plus for me in a rock star romance.

The story follows EJ and Bri, two musicians who hang out together one night in Vegas and wake up married the next morning. While they've heard of each other, they didn't officially meet until the night of their wedding - which neither one remembers. However, it becomes obvious pretty quickly that they had themselves a good time, (and their record label loves the idea of them together), so EJ and Bri decide to give their marriage a chance. But when a rock star and a young pop princess start a marriage without knowing anything beyond what the tabloids have told them, there are bound to be bumps in the road.

The writing itself is good - I was hooked on the story right away, and it flies by. There's definitely an instalove feel here, and I was surprised by how quickly things fall into place for these two, given that this is not a standalone book. But there's plenty of story left to be told, and I've got a feeling that the drama is just getting started. So far, this has been steamy and sweet, a light and sexy read - we'll see if that changes. I loved how loyal and committed EJ is, and the two of them together are great. They're opposites in some ways but also very similar in others, so the combination makes for an interesting romance. I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes next, and hope that it can maintain the same kind of vibe. I received an early copy via Give Me Books and am voluntarily leaving a review of this accidental marriage romance.

Power Couple is the first book in the Nashvegas Series and it follows the story of EJ and Brianna. EJ’s parents are the gold standard, the ultimate couple. It’s because of them, that he is no stranger to the spotlight or living in their shadow. When EJ goes to Vegas to celebrate his parent’s new residency there, the last thing he dreamed was that he’d wind up getting married….Brianna is one of the hottest pop stars around and doesn’t have much time to just sit and enjoy life. And romance is definitely on the back burner. But, when Brianna is surprised with tickets to see her famous band, she’s about to get more than she ever bargained for….

If you’re a fan of the instalove trope, look no further, Power Couple is the book that you’ve been waiting for. This book combines not only my love for instant connections but also oops marriages. And let me tell you, EJ and Brianna rocked it. Their chemistry and connection were off the charts. Where most people would have found themselves panicked over an oops marriage, these two took it in stride and gave it a real go.

Overall, I think this series is off to a really good start. This story had just the right amount of steam, romance, and drama. I’m definitely intrigued and am looking to see where this story is going to go. This story kept me captivated from the moment I picked it up, until the moment I reached the end, and that ending left me dying to know how things will play out!

Everett is the son of famous music stars. His band is successful as well so he hasn't tried to live up to the love his parents share between them. Brianna is the top pop star at this moment. She has no time for anything with her crazy schedule and life. A friend gets tickets to see a band and that's how she meets Everett. The two have a drunken, crazy one night together only to wake up married without remembering how it happened and why. A sexy, crazy thrilling ride to be had with this story.

Power Couple is the first book in Laramie Briscoe’s NashVegas series. It follows Everett James (EJ) Thompson, a rock star whose parents are both famous musicians, and Brianna Jenkins, a very popular pop star. A run in years prior at their record company’s office was their only in person meet until the night of EJ’s mom Las Vegas residency. A night that gets a wee bit out of control and they wind up married with no clue how it happened.

I enjoyed this book quite a bit and while there are some similarities of Briscoe’s Rockin’ Country series; EJ’s parents, their situation is much different and I didn’t feel like I was reading the same story again. Waking up married and before any time to figure it out together, they are bombarded by family, staff, and their record label and then the blow, stay married because the publicity is too good. Thankfully these two like each other, both admit crushes on one another, and decide to spend some time getting to know each other better. It was telling that while they both had separate obligations to get through, they missed one another and I enjoyed watching them fall for each other more each day.

EJ has seen his parents in a very loving relationship his whole life, he’d never even thought about marriage because he knew he’d want what his parents have and wasn’t sure that was possible, but now that he has Bri, he’s determined to give it a go. Bri’s parents had a horrible relationship and appeared only to stay together because they were sponging off their daughter’s success. I actually would have liked to know a bit more of Bri’s relationship with her parents but it was easy to see she didn’t think a loving marriage was possible.

While Garrett and Hannah (EJ’s parents) take a back seat in this book, they are there to give advice, love and support to both EJ and Bri, something she’s never really experienced in the past. She has baggage and it is obvious trust is a big issue for her.

They had smoking hot chemistry and while their relationship started out backwards, they were determined to work on setting it straight. I did feel this book was a bit too easy, but I also figured with two more books to come that there will be some drama/conflict coming their way.

Yes, this book ends on somewhat of a cliffhanger BUT EJ and Bri are still together and the cliffhanger is coming from an outside source. Also, knowing this I decided to wait until the third book was almost out before reading the first two in the series.

A fantastic start to a new series, Power Couple was smart, sexy, and entertaining.

Seriously loved EJ and Bri

Oh wow, this is seriously a Rockstar love story for the ages. It is a power ballad told within the virtual covers of this book, and the strength of Author Laramie Briscoe’s words are as emotive as any lyrics you could listen to.

When a young pair of successful stars wake up married, the morning after a night out in Vegas, with no memory of how it happened, then you have the start of a potentially epic love story – or not.

I haven’t read the story of his parents, Reaper and Harmony, but holy crap when EJ Thompson tells us that he knows what love looks like; that his parents set the standard, then I know I need to go and look for it. I loved the dynamics of their family!! Even when the proverbial brown stuff hit the fan, they stood together and supported each other – I was a ball of warm fuzzies over it all.

Briana Jenkins, she lucked out badly in the parental stakes. They were selfish, verbally abusive, still demanding money, their pound of flesh from her, and were not unlike the animal ticks that need to be burned off to be completely removed. EJ was indescribably supportive of Bri in every way possible, and I loved Reaper and Harmony in the way that they stepped up to fill that void for her. I’ll even risk sounding boring in that EJ and Bri were a gorgeous young couple who stepped up to own their actions, accept the responsibilities of others relying on their brand and went with the demand of their respective record companies to stay together. They did more than that – they gave it everything they had, in spite of their busy schedules and contract demands. Nobody expected them to succeed in such spectacular fashion!

This is a gorgeous and uplifting story of insta-love, honest communication, and showing the power of a united front. BUT I have to warn you, I was horrified to learn that there was one-hell of a cliff-hanger at the end!!! I will be-moan that I abhor cliff-hangers with the blazing passion of a thousand suns, but there is no way in hell that I would want to be missing out on this seriously engaging rock-star romance from Ms Briscoe. I’ll wait, because it will be worth it!

Even for a cliff-hanger, this book is worth every one of its 5-Stars 🎶

5 Stars!

Uh before we start let's chat about a couple of things... first! My name is the heroine's name so already a huge fan and bonus points given his for that. Plus you throw in that GORGEOUS freaking COVER **her covers are seriously THE BEST!!** and that blurb that just makes you wanna drool and folks, you have a BRILLIANT, unforgettable, unputdownable book filled with words that you'll wish never stop and will leave you begging for more.

Laramie Briscoe certainly has a way with her words and the alpha males that she creates? Freaking swoon to the absolute max y'all. Seriously every single book I've read written by her has been a 5+ star beauty that almost immediately hits my re-read soon tbr list. Well she's switched gears on me in this new one and stepped away from her cops and medical professionals and has made her mark in the music world. And ladies and gents, my heart was totally taken by storm in this brand new "accidental/surprise marriage" romance and I cannot wait for the next book in this series for these two. **and side note- I'll be going back to the series this spun off from because I am totally intrigued now!**

Alright back to her new baby- Power Couple, wheeeew wee, what a title, what a book, what a power duo they were and are. Brianna and Everett were everything in the very best ways- intoxicating, irresistible, undeniable, and they had me completely smitten from the very early start. Their journey wasn't/isn't easy in moments... it's definitely not over yet, and they have quite the journey ahead but gahhhhh, my heart, that heat, the angst, their chemistry!! I simply adored these two with everything in me and I couldn't get enough.

This is technically a standalone series (NOT BOOK) but spins off from another series of hers- a second generation if you will so I'll be going back asap while I wait for more from our new power couple.

So good, so addicting, I love to be in Laramie's head and meeting the people and worlds and lives that she creates.

I highly recommend this book.

There are a handful of authors who are auto reads for me, and I'll pick them up without even looking at the blurb. Laramie Briscoe is high on that list, so I didn't know anything about Power Couple going in other than it was the start of a new series by a favorite author. So, let me say right here that oops marriages is not a trope I read much of anymore. I mean most of the time if you've read one, you've read 'em all. Right? - Wrong, completely wrong. Power Couple is all about an oops marriage in Vegas no less, so that's been done a lot, but Laramie does it her way and with her usual flare, and it's not only a sit down and don't stop until you've turned the last page story, it stands out from the crowd of other books in the trope. Bri and EJ are terrific characters and so easy to root for. They also have an instant attraction for each other and a chemistry that you can almost feel. The angst is pretty low as this couple gets to know each other and works on building a real marriage, so I was all settled in for an easy, feel-good read. However, the story is not without some tension, and I've gotta say that I definitely did not expect that ending, and I'll admit that I was that person - I read that last line and looked for even one more page, but nope, we'll have to wait to see how some unresolved issues play out. What it comes down to is an impossible to put down insta marriage romance that is equal parts sweet and sexy. I will warn you: set aside a couple of hours to just get to know the characters and enjoy the journey because when I say it's impossible to put down, that's exactly what I mean.

I completely love Power Couple!! Everett “EJ” Thompson, the lead singer of Grey Skies, is the son on Garrett “Reaper” Thompson and Hannah “Harmony” Stewart, who have an epic love story. Brianna “Bri” Jenkins is the hottest pop star out there whose idol happens to be Harmony Stewart, but has a family who definitely does NOT have the same happiness as the Thompsons. They see each other at a Harmony Stewart concert in Vegas and wake up married. And the adventure begins... Laramie Briscoe is brilliant! The way she has written Power Couple - there is humor; it has great banter between not only EJ & Bri, but also the rest of the family, including the band; the feeling & emotion shown from Bri of insecurity and EJ of definitely being Reaper’s son! Oh my gosh, I love this book so much, don’t think I could like it more! I cannot wait for the Breach of Contract!

This is a book about a couple that are musicians. EJ is a Rocker, bad boy, with a reputation for being a bit of a commitment phobe. Bri is a pop star with a huge crush on the rocker. They meet up in Vegas at a concert and have a wild and fun night. Then morning comes and what happens in Vegas does not always stay in Vegas. They have an uphill battle ahead of them if they want to make things work. This has some steam and lots of drama. Its also different from Ms. Briscoe's other books that I've read, but still AMAZING!! I voluntarily received an ARC copy of this book and I have left my honest review.

I am a sucker for rocker books and I absolutely adored this book. The storyline is a little different from the usual music format and I enjoyed both the pace and the characters. I fell hard and fast for EJ he is the rocker with a heart and is just the sweetest guy. His parents Reaper and Melody from Rockin Country are in this book and it was good to catch up with them and to see they are still as in love. Bri is the young it pop star who has massive success but very little else in her life. I loved how EJ was so careful and tender with her and approached their situation with a softly softly strategy. The writing pulled me in and I felt like I was a friend along for the ride watching them get to know each other. I liked that there was no crazy other women in the story but the drama comes from the record companies. Now this is my fault and if I had been paying attention I would have been prepared for the cliffhanger ending but hopefully we don't have to wait to long as I anxious to find out what happens next.

Power Couple is the newest series called NashVegas and the 1st book in that series by Laramie Briscoe. This new series does have links back to author’s other series-Rockin’ Country. You don't have to read RC to read PC. This is the story of EJ and Brianna. They are two well known musicians who are in Las Vegas. They end up tying one on and they end up married. This follows them as they either annual the marriage or they give their marriage a shot. This story is filled with heat, feels, secrets, twists, turns, amazing chemistry, connection, rollercoaster emotions , romance and one heck of an cliffhanger. I can't wait for book 2. The characters-main and secondary, plot, scenery and chemistry will draw the readers to this new series and keep them hooked.

This is the first in a new series and is Everett / EJ AND Brianna /Bri’s story. These two are musicians who meet in Vegas, and they wake up the next morning married and with no memory of the night before. Their record label loves the fact that they are together, and they have their work cut out for them and they need to learn to live together and overcome the challenges which are thrown at them. This story ends with a major cliffhanger, and I cannot wait for the 2nd book. This is a well written story which has engaging characters and has drama which all leads to a steamy and all-consuming and addictive page turner. I highly recommend this talented authors’ work for all.

It's been a while since my last Laramie Briscoe book and I've got to say I missed her writing.

This story showcased just have relationships take effort to make them work. Especially if you're in the spotlight. I really liked both EJ and Bri I loved that they wanted to see if they can work. I hated her parents. No one deserves to be a ticked meal. And I'm super excited to see hi ow this love story will end for them as they need to prepare for the fight of their lives.

Band member EJ Thompson and pop star Brianna Jenkins find themselves compromised after a drunken night in Las Vegas. However, it’s not all bad as Brianna already had a crush on EJ.

With pressure from the record label, EJ and Brianna must decide what to do. Will it be happy-ever-after? Or will it all fall apart?

This is a story about celebrity couples, but the author has tried to show the reader the real people behind the social media hype. It was escapism reading for me, to a place far beyond my own normality, which was fun for a few hours of reading. I liked both EJ and Brianna and I shall enjoy reading more about them in the next book in the series.

Power Couple is the first book in Laramie Briscoe’s Nashvegas series, and it links to the author’s Rockin’ Country series. I have not read the Rockin’ Country series – although I do have the first book on my Kindle – but this did not impact upon my reading of Power Couple. There were some references I’m sure I would have enjoyed more if I’d read the Rockin’ Country series, but it is not a necessity.

Power Couple was a quick read with plenty packed into it, one that has you curious to see how the pieces come together. Although I enjoyed the story and the way things played out, I never quite felt the connection between the characters I had hoped for. I felt like they went from lust to love too quickly, and I didn’t quite believe it. Nevertheless, the storyline kept me hooked and I am eager to see what comes next for the characters.

All in all, Power Couple was a gripping start to what promises to be another addictive series from the author.

OMG, I cannot tell you how much I love Bri and EJ. I remember when Laramie Briscoe was writing this as snippets for her readers but, re-reading this part of their story reminded me of how enjoyable their love story is. Marriage in any circumstance is hard work and from the beginning Bri and EJ had their work cut out for them. What went from one crazy night to a love for the ages is a joy to read. I need so much more from them.

EJ is the son of Harmony and Reaper and also the lead singer of Grey Skies. Brianna is a Pop singer who idolized Harmony. When Harmony signs on for a Las Vegas show, EJ and Bri meet and the sparks fly. After waking up married in Las Vegas, the two decide to make it work.

Reading this reminded me so much of Harmony and Reaper’s story and how much work both couples are putting into their relationship. EJ reminds me so much of Reaper and I can’t wait to read the rest of their story.

In Power Couple we get the story of EJ who is the first born son of Reaper and Harmony. EJ is all grown up and in his own band Grey Skies with his brother RJ. Brianna Jenkins is a pop star who has crossed paths with EJ before. She grew up a huge Harmony Stewart fan so for her birthday her best friend Maddie gets her tickets to her concert in Vegas little does she know that one act will change her whole life. Whi l e at the concert she happens to be standing near EJ and his family when a fan suggests that her and EJ should take a picture together they do they get to chatting she tells him it's her 21st birthday. Reaper suggests they do some shots to toast her birthday fast forward to the next morning they wake up in bed together but it gets better his parents and their managers are pounding on their door their phones are blowing up to let them know that they're married. Then before they can think the record company gets involved saying that they need to stay married since everyone loves them. This is where the story really evolves it's reminiscent of Reaper and Harmony's story but yet different too. EJ comes from rock Royalty and grew up surrounded by love. Brianna didn't know love her parents hate each other and claim they only stay together for the kids and what they make off Bri of course. EJ and Brianna have to learn about each other and how to live together as a couple while managing their careers. We get to see Reaper and Harmony as they are there for EJ and Bri trying to help them overcome any obstacles and offering advice. We get to see Montgomery Jared and Shell's daughter who RJ is in love with and they were involved in a relationship that didn't end well but they're working on it and I hope that we get that story. You really need to read this book and go on their journey with them as it's so beautifully written and honest in it's emotions. I can't wait for the next book to see what happens because I know Ms. Briscoe is going to give us one hell of a story! I would definitely recommend this book! I was given an ARC in exchange for for my honest opinion of this book.

Everett James Thompson
I've been in the spotlight since I was born, thanks to my famous parents. Reaper and Harmony have been the gold standard when it comes to celebrity love stories. It's hard to be in the shadow, to live up to that precedent.

What can possibly go wrong when you have one special night, a beautiful girl next to you, lots of fun, the alcohol is flowing freely, and the lights of the city of sin are your background? Well you could wake up married to a hottie. There is a way out of this but when you are in the eye of the public there is no easy solution especially when your parents are to gold standard of Hollywood marriages and you don't want to disappoint anyone. Briana and E.J. are two to of music's hottest stars. They never expected for this to happen. They are total strangers how fear that their separate career's will suffer if they don't go along with this marriage that never should have happened in the first place. They have to put on the act of their lives to convince everyone they are the happily ever after that everyone dreams of. But what happens when they stop pretending and things get real? You have to read to find out but I thought this was a really good story that had me a laughing in places and falling so in love with these characters.

He was raised in the spotlight with his parents being musicians and now he and his brother are in a rock band and are making a name for themselves as well. One chance meeting at a concert in Vegas, to see his mom on stage at her residency in Vegas, changes everything he about his life. Everette James (EJ) Thompson is the oldest son of Reaper and Harmony, America’s sweetheart couple and the parents that showed EJ a true love.

Brianna Jenkins is America’s sweetheart in her own right. A Pop Singer touring and making hits on her own. Her manager and best friend surprises her with tickets to idol’s performance in Vegas for Brianna’s birthday and while she’s there she meets Harmony’s son and husband. That chance meeting changes her life as well.

I really enjoyed this story and though I’ve not read Reaper and Harmony’s story, yet I loved EJ and RJ and the family dynamics this family has. These two are very close and respect each other, they may joke around and fight, but they are brothers and have each other’s backs no matter what. These two will have their own demons to battle, but the one night in Vegas that EJ and Brianna spent was a wild night that led to a lot of changes in their lives. Now they have to make the best of their lives since their record label, that they share, wants them to continue as is, until they get too big for the company to handle. Then they have a bigger fight on their hands and there’s no telling how it will end. I loved the story and the characters in this book, and I give it a 5-star review. If you like stories with sexy rockers, strong pop stars, and an unconventional love story, you’ll love Power Couple. Besides, I haven’t read a book yet by Laramie Briscoe that I could put down easily, or that left me wanting more to read of her characters.

Power Couple (Nashvegas #1) by Laramie Briscoe was a great 5 star read.
I was pulled in right from the beginning and had a really late night of reading.

I don’t even know where to begin with this review, these two were so great together.
Brianna is in Las Vegas to celebrate her birthday with her manager/best friend by going to see one of her favorite performers. She gets an even bigger surprise when they are invited to sit with the performers family.

Everett is in Vegas with his dad to watch his mom perform when he meets Brianna. When he finds out it’s Brianna’s birthday Everett’s dad encourages them to go out and celebrate. When he woke up the next morning the last thing he expected to see was Brianna in his bed and both of them wearing wedding rings. Long story short they decide to give the marriage a try after encouragement from their label.

Overall I really enjoyed this book. Watching these two connect on so many levels and I LOVED Everett and how his parents raised him to be such a loving man. Brianna comes from a different family, one that was never close or loving so she was always second guessing things. And the chemistry these two had in bed, wow, we get some very steamy moments. Of course there are some hiccups here and there that cause drama and we have a heck of a cliffhanger ending. I was left in shock. I need the next book now so I can see what’s coming next. If you're looking for a great rocker/Pop star romance this is the series for you. 1-click and get started today.

"The kiss is slow... Everything I imagined EJ Thompson to be."

5 Everything is Meant to Be Stars!!! Fun, sexy and surprising... I loved it!

Bri is a pop star with a complicated past. EJ is in a band with his brother and they come from rock royalty. Bri and EJ have crossed paths before but nothing came of it. Until one night at a concert in Vegas during Bri's 21st birthday. EJ and Bri meet, share a few birthday shots.... one thing leads to another and they end up in bed together. The next morning they wake up to pounding on their door and missed calls telling them they they got married. But instead of their PR team telling them to break up... they suggest staying together because America loves them. Now they have to navigate a new marriage, a relationship and getting to know each other when they are basically strangers... and that's when the fun starts!

This book was so much fun! I was addicted from page one... and I loved the twist this book took. I love a fun, sexy rock star romance and this one definitely did not disappoint!!

If you are a fan of Ms. Briscoe's early work then you have been waiting to see how their children turned out but if you are a new fan of her work then you will also not be disappointed! In this book, we meet EJ or Everett, the older prodigy of Reaper and Harmony from the Rockin' Country series and Bri. After a night of drunken debauchery, the pair find themselves married and then have to face the consequences of their actions and have to remain married so that their careers do not get effected. While facing the consequences, the pair decide to give their marriage a real chance and find that they actually love each other.

Through the first part of their journey, this well written pair find that they first have some amazing chemistry. Add in the real life problems of relationships, a great support group of friends and family and two people with successful, yet busy careers you get the end result of an amazing read that was hard to put down once I started it.

Even though this portion of EJ and Bri's story ends on a cliffhanger, I was still left satisfied and now anxious to see what happens next with this pair. In the end, I would recommend this book to others whether you are a past or a new fan of Ms. Briscoe's.

I received a free ARC copy of this book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

So I really adore this author. She is a fantastic writer and I love her characters and writing but I have never read her older series and this is a second generation story with children from a previous series that I had not read. But this story made me fall in love with EJ's parents Harmony and Reaper and so I have to read their story now.

They are both in the music business I guess you can say and their kids are as well. The mom, Harmony is playing Vegas and so the whole family goes to support her. Brianna Jenkins is a popular popstar and she adores Harmony and so she goes to the concert as well.

Thats how Brianna and EJ meet and spend one night that will change their entire life. But they have some issues they have to decide either to work on together or to go their separate ways and thats the gist of this story. They both have many distractions from concerts and touring to the music to the their contracts and where they don't always call the shots. In this story they have to decide what they want and care about and it was a fascinating look into the music business.

The story ends on a cliff hanger I guess you can say and the next book comes out in June. It is a cliff but also not a major one. Least not romantically its a cliff more based on their music which is why I was actually okay waiting for the next book. I am not a fan of cliffs and so if you arent either, well its more of what happens next rather than an OMG type of cliff.

Another amazing love story from Laramie, even having to wait on the finale. EJ is the lead singer for famous Rock band and son of famous America's Sweethearts Reaper & Harmony. I have not read Reaper & Harmony's books but not required to love this book. (But I'll be going back to read their Love story). Bri, the famous Princess of Pop. Bri meets EJ, a long time celebrity crush at a concert for her idol Harmony, whom also happens to be EJ's famous mom. After hitting it off upon meeting, they wake the next morning with no memory but the wedding rings sure leave a clue as to what happened the night before. The journey EJ and Bri take while trying to give their drunken marriage a shot makes a stop with all emotions. You will laugh, tear up, and feel the warm and fuzzy love while following their love story. The entire Thompson family contributes to this story in such a way that makes me wish they were my family. Despite another book coming for EJ & Bri it did not leave this book lacking in anyway. I cannot wait to see what the future will hold for EJ & Bri.
I received an advanced reader copy for my honest review of this book.

Rating: 4.5 Stars

EJ is probably a lot like some of us that have issues with our parents PDA. Bri’s life may have changed but some things never do. There are times, while reading, when I’m reminded why I wouldn’t want to be a celebrity – Bri's family is a perfect example.

At the beginning, you will get a glimpse of these two getting to know one another. You’ll see how different they are and some of that is age experience. You’ll be able to tell that EJ was brought up right. With Bri, her life reminds me of the child stars of old.

I think the author was smart in having two totally opposite family dynamics. If they were too similar, it would be more difficult to imagine how these two were going to live up to the title of the book. She was also good in leaving some things up to the reader’s imagination. It’s a good way of keeping the reader engaged.

You may find that this is just a tease of what is yet to come. It’s another way of keeping the reader engaged. You’ll want to see what’s going to happen next. There’s a lot of emotion between the covers and that is what will make it hard to put down. But it’s also romantic. And knowing their story isn’t over yet has me on tenterhooks until the author’s next book in the series comes out.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

What a wonderful start to a new series. EJ is the rocker son of Reaper and Harmony. Bri is a pop princess who is a huge fan of EJ's mom Harmony. EJ and Bri meet at Harmony's Las Vegas concert. The next morning they wake up to discover that they got married. The two share a record label that tells them they need to stay married. They decide to try to make their marriage work.

EJ has grown up with parents that adore each other but Bri has not. Ej had a great childhood, Bri not so much. They have great chemistry but they started backwards completely missing the get to know you stage. Can they pull it together and make it last?

It is not smooth sailing for Bri and EJ as they have more than their share of obstacles they have to overcome. Just when it looks like they can make it work, bam, here comes another test that ends with a cliffhanger.

I loved Bri and EJ together and look forward to the rest of their story. I also enjoyed my look at Reaper and Harmony again and was glad to see they are still going strong. Don't let the cliffhanger stop you from reading this book.
