A man who was caught on video in a stunning shootout with a sheriff’s Deputy in California had been arrested numerous times and had been deported three times.

Hernandez Morales died at the scene of the shootout that was recorded in a 48-second video released by police.

The stunning body camera footage shows Sheriff’s Deputy Javier Hernandez Morales rolling down his window, grabbing a handgun and opening fire. Riley Jarecki moved quickly and ran to the other side of the car. She fired 15 shots into the red Honda. Morales was dead on the scene.

It turns out that this dangerous Mexican citizen had been held and released after objections from ICE.

Fox News reports:

Immigration officials said Thursday that the shooting and the man’s death could have been prevented, but California’s state law prohibited them from arresting the Mexican citizen with a long rap sheet and multiple deportations.

BODY CAM FOOTAGE SHOWS DEADLY SHOOTOUT:

Sanctuary cities are protecting repeat offenders like this man who was deported THREE TIMES. Morales is the poster boy for why we need a wall. We obviously cannot control the unwatched portions of the southern border where there is no fence.

Predictions for FY 2019 are that 200k illegals will enter at unchecked locations and 300k will be visa overstays:
