Minister of National Security, Stuart Young, has announced that all of T&T’s borders will be closed from Midnight on Sunday 22nd March 2020, including all international flights into the country. Whether Nationals or Non-Nationals, there will be no entry into Trinidad and Tobago until further notice.
Cargo Ships will still be allowed to dock, bringing essential food, drugs and supplies to T&T, but crew members will not be allowed to disembark. Minister Young made the announcement at an emergency Press Conference on Saturday 21st March 2020, where it was also revealed that T&T now has 40 new positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 49.
