Join Our Mentor Family
Want to help make a difference in the life of a child?  Humble ISD is looking for people like you to help mentor students at River Pines Elementary.


Project-Based Learning: Lake Houston Watershed 
This past year, our community has come together to heal and recover from the devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey. This epic flood elevated our understanding of how much we depend on the Lake Houston Watershed and how we all play a part in keeping this precious resource healthy. Last spring, a group of teachers submitted a grant request to the Foundation for a project that integrates student-centered authentic learning in a multi-campus venture to study the watershed and develop community partnerships to restore and support it.

Board Member of The Month
We are proud to present our Foundation board member of the month, Mike Feild.

"Our children are our legacies and the foundation for our future. It is incumbent upon all parents to support their children's education by supporting their teachers and providing resources and assistance wherever possible. This is the role of the Education Foundation and that is why I elected to serve on the Foundation Board almost 10 years ago. My oldest daughter has now graduated and my younger daughter is a sophomore in Humble ISD. My participation on the Foundation Board has been extremely rewarding for me personally and I hope it has in some small way impacted the quality of the education for my daughters and their fellow students. I look forward to continuing to serve. "
