CINCINNATI, Ohio (WKRC) - Despite social distancing orders, video posted online and on social media reportedly showed a large crowd gathered near downtown Cincinnati on Friday night.

According to the Cincinnati Police Department, a man present at the event was arrested Saturday.

Rashaan Davis was charged with Prohibited Violations, a second-degree misdemeanor, for violating Gov. DeWine's "Stay at Home" order.

The CPD said that the offense was particularly "egregious," as Davis posted a 10-minute video to YouTube where he urged others to defy Gov. DeWine's order.

The incident took place on Walnut Street and Liberty Street behind a Shell gas station.

The CPD responded to the incident in a message: “Cincinnati Officers did respond to this gathering. We are exploring various options for addressing this incident as well as possible future incidents of this nature, to include fines and physical arrests if necessary."

There were reports another gathering was scheduled for Saturday evening.

Officers went on to urge citizens to condemn the gathering on social media and to have friends and family "demand" that participants in the event discontinue this behavior.

The CPD ended its message by emphasizing the importance of social distancing.
