Communications and Engagement Officer

 

 

Salary is competitive and not less than £30,029 (pro rota) pa inclusive of London allowance

 

This is a fixed term appointment for 12 months and is part time for 21 hours per week (0.6 FTE)

 

 

The Latin America and Caribbean Centre (LACC) is a research centre that serves as a focal point for LSE’s research and public engagement with Latin America and the Caribbean. LACC is offering an exciting opportunity to apply for a fast-paced and varied role to support its day-to-day activities, as well as short-term projects.

 

The job-holder will be responsible to coordinate and deliver the Centre’s communications programme to ensure LACC’s research engages our targeted audiences and impacts upon policy in the Latin America and Caribbean region. This role will act as the internal and external communications lead for the Centre and also will work flexibly on the wider organisation of events and research dissemination activities as required.

 

Candidates should have excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite), including good knowledge of social media and should have strong writing skills. Applicants should be self-motivated and have the flexibility to work occasional evenings to support events.
