OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) - Fire Crews are responding to a multiple alarm fire at the Summer Oaks Apartments in OKC.

Officials say an overloaded extension cord caused the fire. A TV and space heater were reportedly connected to the cord.

Police say 8 units were affected in one building and 2-3 are heavily damaged. They think it started on the first floor.

Crews say weather conditions made it difficult to put it out, including getting their engines into a small complex.

Reports say no one was injured in the blaze, however a dog was killed in the fire.
