Calling all who have lost hope in love, READ THIS BOOK, and have your faith restored! Erika Wilde continues with her Tall, Dark and Sexy series with the second book Tall, Dark & Irresistible and it is amazing. Right off the bat the story is funny and heart warming and hot as sin and made me want to keep reading. Now if Ms. Wilde could conjure actual men like the Stone brothers then she could start her own cult following, I would be the first to sign the membership roster. Tall, Dark and Tempting is the next book in the series and tells the story of the youngest Stone brother Dylan, coming soon to an e-reader near you. Tall, Dark & Irresistible is swoon worthy and worth all 5 stars.
It’s been four years since Peyton Bishop shared a chemistry lab with Leo Stone, but that hasn’t diminished her crush on him. After a little white lie that she told her over-protective parents to keep them from worrying about her while she lived in New York, Peyton must now convince Leo to be her fake boyfriend for a week while she visits San Diego for her cousin’s wedding. There wasn't anything wrong with this book but there wasn't anything outstanding about it either.
I liked the writing style just fine and the character development was good for a book that wasn't very long.

Tall, dark and Irresistible is the 2nd book in the tall, dark, and sexy series by Erika Wilde. It is the story of Leo and Peyton. Leo and Peyton were friends in college, but he had a girlfriend then. four years have passed...but Peyton's crush hasn’t. Needing a boyfriend to get her helicopter parents off her back, Peyton creates a fake dating history of her and Leo...complete with a timeline of pictures of the cute couple…. all made courtesy of photoshop. Now the time has come when Peyton must produce more than just pictures. She is returning to her hometown of San Diego for her cousins wedding and her parents are insisting on meeting Leo. She has no choice...she makes arrangements with Leo’s chauffeur service and requests him personally. Leo has no idea who Peyton is by name alone, but when he shows up at the airport, he does remember his cute, quirky chem lab partner. He listens to why she has sought him out, and he is up for the challenge…
My thoughts:
This book was alright. I know...i was shocked too...this author has quickly become a go to for me. Again, it was a solid read, but wasn’t as good as the first in the series. I liked Peyton she was independent, sassy, spunky...characteristics I enjoy in a leading lady. It was Leo...who I questioned. At the beginning of the book when she is first explaining her predicament to Leo, and asking him to be her pretend boyfriend...I thought it was kind of creepy that he agreed, but only if he got ALL the things that came along with dating. He did earn points back with me when he confessed to her parents and stayed around to support Peyton after their shenanigans were uncovered. I just wasn’t as invested in the outcome of these two as I should be in a great romance.

EEEEEPPPP! I am just so damn giddy after reading this book. It was amazing! Wilde had me up all night devouring this book! So good. The storyline was quirky and fun. The characters were both smoking hot. I have a little girl crush on Peyton. Seriously! Shes sassy, funny, down to earth, and very sweet. I loved how she screwed up and made the best of the situation. I mean a man like Leo Stone... In the words of uncle Jesse, "HAVE MERCY!"
This was a fabulous read! I devoured every word as fast as I could because I had to get to that ending. There were some twists and turns that had me gasping a little. Just enough angst to keep me all in but not enough to make my chest hurt. Amazing story. And so damn sweet it melted my heart.

When Peyton gets the wild idea to beg her old lab partner/friend from college to be her pretend boyfriend for the weekend, to appease her parents, will her drunken plan come to fruition?
Peyton had always had a crush on Leo, ever since they were paired together as lab partners. But Leo had a girlfriend, and he was not the type to cross that boundary into cheating, so she suffered her unrequited love in silence. One drunken night, she and a friend Photoshop some photos of the two of them together and post them to social media, all to appease her overprotective parents, and the idea works! But now that she has to head home for a wedding, she needs Leo to agree to a fake relationship with her, or her parents will never let her go back to New York if they think she's single.
Leo doesn't remember Peyton's name when his assistant tells him she called and insisted he be the one to pick her up from the airport, but once he sees her, he remembers the cute, adorable girl he once knew (and liked). When she asks him to be her fake boyfriend for the weekend, how can he turn her down? He's single now, and she's as sweet and charming as ever. He just didn't realize that soon he'd be falling for her, and that she'd break his heart when she returned to New York without him.
I loved Tall, Dark, Irresistible! Leo and Peyton make the sweetest, most adorably sexy couple that I've read in awhile. Erika Wilde's heroes and heroines are always wonderfully layered and interesting, and Leo and Peyton are no exception. I can't wait for the next sexy couple in the Tall, Dark and Sexy series.

I SURPRISINGLY liked this a lot more than expected. I'm not usually a huge fan of fake dating tropes but this one was sweet and hot. I wished the ending had a bit more to it because our hero was just like well i cant have anything with you since my ex ruined me but wait oh nvm. I love you. To our heroine.

Book 2 in this series and a great follow up to book 1 Tall Dark & Charming, though these do not follow on and is a standalone, this is Leo & Peyton's story!!
Peyton has had a serious crush on Leo since they worked together in their chemistry class together and has never really quite gotten over him. She's an only child and her parents are a tad on the overprotective side and couldn't wait to leave home and move to New York, but said parents keep on at her wanting to make sure she is safe on her own. So Peyton comes up with the genius idea of faking a boyfriend and uses Leo's social media pages to convince her parents that she is find especially with such an adoring boyfriend.
Her ploy worked that well that her parents want to meet him at her cousin's upcoming wedding, and so Peyton has to try and convince Leo, who she has not seen in years, to be her fake boyfriend for 2 weeks.
Leo has done well for himself and has his own car chauffeur type business, but does not do relationships after being jilted at the alter by the woman he loved and did not see it coming. So he is intrigued when a woman rings his business and asks for him directly and it turns out to be his friend from his old chemistry class, the girl he got on really well with but was with a girlfriend and would not cross the line from friendship. She has an interesting proposal for him for 2 weeks, and he all in especially the benefits part!!
This was a great ready and a really good storyline. I loved the characters!! Peyton is sassy, funny and quirky, her fake boyfriend idea was really funny if a bit crazy and I loved how she carried a torch for Leo this entire time. Leo was a fab guy, a real gentleman even though he was very scared to get involved with a woman again and get himself hurt, he wanted to help Peyton out any way he could. Their chemistry was smoldering hot, and he was anything but a gentleman in the bedroom, where his true alpha persona came to light, wheeew!!
This is a great take on fake relationship genre with a really good storyline to it, with drama added here and there but not too much angst, it really kept me glued to those pages, well worth the read!!

Another new to me author, another fantastic story!
This is the story of Peyton and Leo. College friends, reunited under crazy circumstances.
I couldn't put this story down! It has just the right amount of steaminess, fantasy and swooniness.
Peyton is quirky, and refreshing. The hoops that she jumps through to convince her helicopter parents to back off is fantastic. The torch she carried for Leo all these years is a testament to what an impact he made in her world.
Leo's loyalty is phenomenal, even when it was with the wrong woman at first. He is a true gentleman and also a true alpha hero.
Peyton and Leo's chemistry together is on fire! Even after the years have passed, it still burns bright!

I found this book to be quiet funny,sexy and quick read.I liked it.
There was no much angst in it,no drama or to many emotions.The characters were very likable and nice.The situation that they found themselves was really funny.
Peyton was smart and easy going.I liked her,and her witty character.And she was quite bold to come to Leo with that proposition.
Leo was really charming and nice guy,real gentleman.
The chemistry between theme was great and convincing so I didn't have a problem to connect to theme and believe in their love or attraction.
Definitely and nice book for me,just like the first one was and I can't wait to read about Dylan.

This was a thoroughly enjoyable romance to read. I found both Peyton and Leo to be thoroughly likeable.
Their friendship history, and Peyon’s eduring crush, were the reason that she decided, in a drunken moment of madness, to use him as her pretend Mr Perfect on a social media page designed to convince her over protective parents that she was living in New York, working her dream job, with her dream man.
Things spiralled out of control when, shortly before going home for her cousins wedding, she loses her job. Knowing that her parents would not take it well and concerned for the health of her father, she contacted Leo with a rather unusual proposition.
I really found this book to be a breath of fresh air, and it was exactly what I hoped it would be from beginning to end. Sexy, quirky and romantic.

A fun read, I loved it!
Erica has loved Leo Stone for years. She’s tired of her loving parents worrying about her and she’s made up a fantastic fantastic boyfriend and has picked Leo to play him, even made photo’s them together to post on fb so her parents can see them together. A problem arises though, when she needs to appear at a family gathering with her “boyfriend”....She has to come clean with the none suspecting Leo and ask for his help.
Leo doesn’t have relationships and love anymore, just fun times, after his ex fiancé dumped him at the altar. He remembers Peyton from school and when he hears her plea, at first he’s stunned then amused. He has to think on it!
This was an hilarious book but it also had it sad moments. Peyton was a determined young woman and unfortunately or fortunately (depends how you look at it.) Leo was her man. And Leo was drawn into - what he thought would be - just a favour for an old friend, but the favour turned out to be a big surprise for Leo which made him begin to wish for much much more.
A really great story, full of fun and laughter to bring on tears of joy, and there’s also sad moments but not too many. There’s also lots of steamy love scenes that heat up the pages too, phew!! An excellent romantic/comedy, I enjoyed it very much, a definite must read!

What a funny, sexy great read!
Peyton , the gal that makes up a boyfriend uses the picture of her college crush and then weaves a tangled web of funny , crazy stories to keep her family at bay! Getting stood up at his own wedding has made Leo gun shy from committing to anyone but when Peyton tracks him down and asks him to be her pretend boyfriend, he's intrigued. They know each other from college but Leo is convinced that her over protective parents would not approve of him being with their daughter. Little does he know he is about to play a big part in her family. What happens when real feelings get in the way? Can he let her go back to New York or will he remain stubborn and not reach for happiness with Peyton? I loved this story as we get to see the characters from the first book!! Steamy, sexy and sometimes frustrating as I wanted to smack Leo upside the head! Grab the book and settle in for a great read!

Leo and Peyton’s story was enthralling. I was hooked into Peyton’s quirky plan from the beginning and loved how quickly Leo remembered her once they reconnected. Their chemistry was definitely off the charts hot and their interactions were fun and quirky. Loved Leo’s nickname for Peyton. This book was devoured in one sitting and left me wanting more from the talented Erika Wilde. I can’t wait for the final Stone brother to get his story. This is one book I will be reading more than once because I loved it.

It’s a snappy read with good pace. Much better than the first book.
We are in present day but have been told the hero and heroine shared a chemistry class in college when they were 21. They got on well then, both even had little crushes on one another, but he had a long term girlfriend at the time so he’s a one woman man. They never actually verbalised their respective crushes with good cause.
Skip forward a few years, he’s broken up with his girlfriend. She ditched him at the alter on his wedding day.
Heroine follows him on social media. Finds out he’s been single for a while and running a business. Because her parents are paranoid about her living in a new city she invents a boyfriend i.e. him.
Okay, so I got second hand embarrassment here just as a woman. She actually photoshopped hand picked pics of him from his socials and inserted herself in them. She uploaded those images on her private family-only ig or Facebook. It was giving me very eeee vibes. 😬😬😬 She let’s this lie run for 9 months. You guys actually have to deep that photoshopping carefully crafted images can take up to hours.
Now that she’s going back home for a cousins wedding, her parents wants to meet him so she basically requests him to be her stand in fake bf for a week before she leaves again.

This man is not a ho! I repeat he is not a ho!! He actually believes in love, wants to get married someday and have kids. He’s dated sparsely since his breakup two years ago but he’s confident. His ex is mentioned but not in a way that detracts from the romance. And yes when he sees the h again after years he’s vocal about his attraction to her and remembers her. I defo don’t categorise this one as a second chance.
Listen the thing that really dampened it for me was her saying I love you first. In this case, especially with her stalkery fan behaviour and four year crush, I just think the ball should’ve been in his court.

What possible harm could come of using someone you knew in college, and had a crush on, as a pretend boyfriend so your overprotective parents don't worry? And, if you have a graphic designer friend photoshop him into a few photos, and share them with your parents...who will ever know?
No one will know, no harm will come from it. It will be just fine.
Until those overprotective parents use a family wedding as an excuse to start insisting that they meet this boyfriend...of almost a year.
OOPS.
Peyton and Leo don't even live in the same city. Peyton is building a life in New York, although it's struggling a bit, and Leo has a successful business in San Diego, meaning he's available for the local charade, but anything more and their lives just don't work together.
Which is a real shame as the attraction in college was mutual, it's still there, and neither of them are doing a great job of resisting the other. Good thing they stop trying.
I enjoy books like this, as long as the game doesn't get cruel to the people they are fooling. If it goes on too long, or others start investing in the truth of the relationship, and I find myself becoming disengaged with the characters. This didn't happen in this title, as the ruse is for a short period of time and the attraction is instant (well, a hold over from before) so the rapid connection they develop makes sense for the story.
The connection they have is also scorching, which adds to the believability of the situation. When you really believe the two characters are fighting to keep their hands off one another, it's easy to believe they would be willing to go along with a lie, and it's also easy to believe that the connection would quickly lead to more.

This was a fun and quirky story that was an absolute palate cleanser after the last book I read I picked it up after work this morning and barely set it down. Peyton Bishop and Leo Stone were chemistry lab partners in college years ago but Peyton had a crush on him even though Leo was in a committed relationship at the time. After graduation she moved from San Diego to New York but her over-protective parents would not leave her alone and so she eventually created a fake relationship with Leo for her parents. Now she is back in San Diego for a wedding and they want to meet him and hope he can come home with her. Oh, the tangled web she has weaved and since Leo lives in San Diego she propositions him to be her fake boyfriend for a week. Who would have guessed a kiss could alter Leo's universe the way it did and he actually contemplated playing along. And they did play and get close. This was well written and quite the page turner. I had such fun reading it and I'm definitely looking forward to Dylan and Serena's story (those two are such a hoot!). This one can be read as a standalone but Aiden and Daisy from the first book in this series make an appearance.

Leo..doesn't really believe in love since he was left at the altar two years ago. Peyton ...has crushed on Leo ever since his was her lab partner two years ago..but he was in love and not available. She gets him to play her "fake" boyfriend to keep her parents from worrying about her....maybe it's not so fake. All the feelings are here..laughs, tears(both happy and sad), steamy sex and a very HEA. I can't wait for Tall, Dark and Tempting (Tall, Dark and Sexy Series Book 3) Dylan and Serena's story in November. I hope we get to me Aiden and Daisy's baby...

Another cute short story on the shorter side. Peyton is a bit quirky and has quite a the story for Leo! After not seeing each other for a few years after graduating college she somehow convinces Leo’s car service company to book him for a ride from the airport port.
He doesn’t put 2 & 2 together until he sees her and realizes this is his Pixie from college. These two had chemistry way back when but he never acted on it because he was in a committed relationship. One that would later put up walls that Leo has a hard time putting down.
Peyton somehow manages to convince him to be her fake boyfriend and the story goes from there. They live in different locations but are quickly falling. Peyton will have to try and convince Leo she wants this. While her tactics were a little stalkerish, this “one that got away” troupe was good.

Leo's mind is just full of naughty thoughts, "Peyton asked from behind him. He turned around and his first thought was, eff yeah, I see something that looks good to snack on. Every inch of her..." Leo is a typical man when it comes to his woman, “are you trying to tempt me into doing indecent things to you out in your parents’ backyard by flaunting your gorgeous body in this bright red, itty bitty bikini?” I liked this book, I really liked Leo.

Sweet, sexy, and very well written. I fell in love with Leo Stone and Peyton Bishop! A second book in the series, but a complete standalone that had me loving this couple the entire way through.
Peyton Bishop was desperate. So desperate that she created a fake online profile. This wasn't a profile to begin catfishing anyone, no, it was actually to keep her overly protective parents out of her life. (Hmmm, not a bad idea.) However, she also went a step beyond to keep them from meddling in her life, Peyton created a fake boyfriend for her fake profile. She also didn't just pick any random man from the internet, no, she happened to pick a boy she went to college with. One she happened to have a small crush on since college. Leo Smith, who happened to be in a committed relationship back then, but he was also super sweet, and never once made a pass at Peyton.
Move forward a few months, and now Peyton actually needs the live-in-the-flesh version of the fake man she's been lying to her parents about for the past nine months. This entire fake life just got a whole lot more complicated. Hopefully Leo still has a great sense of humor and is willing to be her fake boyfriend while she is in town. If not, she had a whole lot more lies to come up with and fast.

The middle brother of the Stone family is here to give us his story and it’s hot and intense. Leo and Peyton are so hot together it heats up every scene they are in with one another. When Peyton lies to her family about dating Leo she goes the extreme measures by asking him to start a fake relationship with her while she is visiting her family. He is hesitant at first but there is something about Peyton that he feels like he should help. What starts off as an arrangement though quickly turns into something more for them and it’s something that neither can see coming. While the spend time with one another they get to know each other. When things start getting serious Peyton and Leo will have a decision to make and you are going to be hoping they make the right one.
This is a sweet story with some intense scenes that happen when the two main characters are in the room together. I love the fact that they do not have many hang ups and Leo is only afraid of holding Peyton back from her dreams. There wasn’t a lot of drama and the family aspect really makes you love Leo and Peyton even more. Their chemistry is off the charts and will have your bits screaming for more. I still love Aiden and Daisy more, but Peyton and Leo do give them a run for their money is their story. I can’t wait to read Dylan’s story because he is the one that is blind to it all when it comes to love.
