Battle of the Books

In order to increase the collaboration between the public libraries and school libraries, school librarians are invited to participate on the Battle of the Books Committee.  Members of the Battle of the Books Committee would be involved in the planning of the event and writing of questions (The work of writing questions is divided up among committee members).  Moving forward, the current committee decided to reduce the number of books from 20 to 16.  Please contact Meghan Davison (mdavison@boces.com) and Angela Newman (anewman@ncls.org) if you would like to participate on the committee.

Grant Opportunity
The application for the NYS EMTA Media Literacy Project Grant is available.  A librarian from the Jefferson-Lewis BOCES region has received this grant in the past and it is a great way to fund special media literacy projects in the library.
