SUBJECT: Please don’t make these mistakes with ClickFunnels!

Hi {!firstname_fix},

it’s me David again.

I promised I was going to teach you more about getting things running with ClickFunnels and here is the first lesson.

This is big picture stuff.

I want to talk about the number one mistake I see all new users making.

That is the mistake of not using ClickFunnels as it is supposed to be used.

ClickFunnels is INCREDIBLY powerful, but only when used right.

The point of ClickFunnels is to create a sales funnel that captures email addresses and then maximizes the amount of money you make off each person that comes through.

A standard sales funnel has:

1) An optin page (capture email for free value)

2) Small-ticket item for lost cost (under $50)

3) A medium-ticket item (over $100 and under $500)

4) A high-ticket item ($1,000)

5) A downsell (if they aren’t interested you send them to a cheaper product)

The concept of this is that some people are just buyers!

They will buy every product you offer them.

If you just offer one item in your funnel that is say, $50, you will miss out on potentially selling them a $1,000 item.

If you just sell a $1,000 item, you miss out on all the revenue that could from people willing to spend $50, but not $1,000.

This is just one of dozens of effective funnels, but gives you a good idea of what ClickFunnels is all about.

If you don’t understand this or want to understand it better, Russell Brunson’s (founder of ClickFunnels) book Dot Com Secrets (free + shipping) is where he teaches everything. So don’t make that mistake!

Here is what I came up with.

2) Integrate your autoresponder (Recommend ConvertKit)

3) Research similar funnels/landing pages

4) Design your funnel on paper

5) Design your funnel in ClickFunnels

6) Set up split tests for optin page

7) Add Facebook and other tracking pixels to your funnel (see my course)

8) Set up your payment processor via integrations (Recommend Stripe)

9) Drive traffic

10) Analyze data and adjust

SUBJECT: Are you struggling writing a headline?

Another issue I have been seeing with my clients is people struggling to write headlines on optin pages.

Your headline has to be good.

It has to be catchy and flashy.

Think national enquirer.

Here is a template I typically use.

1) Identify audience

2) Identify problem

3) Identify solution

4) Overcome biggest concern

Here is an example:

“Are you an entrepreneur looking to drive more leads to your business?

Free eCourse shows you exactly how I 10x’d my leads overnight without spending a penny more on marketing.”

See how I followed all the steps?

It needs to be short and simple.

Sell them stuff later on in the funnel. This step is ALL about getting the email address.

SUBJECT: Don’t Launch Your Funnel Yet!

Here is a doozy {!firstname_fix}.

Did you know that up to 2/3 of your sales will come from an effective follow-up sequence?

This isn’t just a statistic online. This is coming from personal experience.

So moral of the story?

Don’t launch a funnel without a good follow up sequence!

The best follow-up sequences look like this:

A soap opera sequence.

Then kick them into a Seinfeld sequence with offers scattered throughout it.

I like to focus on products for a week or two once I start the Seinfield sequence.

I’ll introduce a problem in one email.

Then introduce a solution in the next.

Then push that product for a few emails.

Then move on.

But guess what? Everyone has their own strategy.

But no matter what it is, those that are successful do the soap opera + Seinfeld EVERY time.

So is your sequence set up?

Next email I will talk about the second part of following up - Facebook ads.

It’s going to be one of my best lessons.

SUBJECT: Are you throwing away your money?

Hey {!firstname_fix} I want to teach you another trick besides the email follow up.

It is called Facebook retargeting.

If you aren’t doing it, you are basically throwing away money.

Here is how it works.

Someone goes to your page and opts in with their email address.

You send them to the next step in the funnel, and they click that red x and are gone.

Just like that.

Now the way Facebook retargeting works is you can now target that exact person with Facebook ads.

Something like this:

Not pretty I know.

But it works.

Well.

A lot of people don’t buy for a ton of reasons.

Maybe they didn’t have their credit card.

Maybe they got distracted.

Maybe they just needed to check with a spouse.

Either way, they are buyers and just had something come up.

All they need is a little reminder.

Facebook has the highest ROI of any ad spend my business spends.

You need to be retargeting EVERYONE that comes to pages on your site.

Here is a decent tutorial on it.

Yes, I know, it isn’t mine.

Some quick advice.

You may have noticed that you can make the funnel pages look different on mobile.

Do it.

Here is a good tutorial from a trusted brand.

The page MUST (MUST MUST MUST) look good on mobile.

More than half your traffic will likely come via phones.

So make sure every page in your funnel has been adjusted for mobile.

Then sit back and watch your optin rates and profits skyrocket.

SUBJECT: These mistakes will kill your funnel 🔫

{!firstname_fix}, after consulting and coaching more than 100 entrepreneurs on how to improve their funnels I have learned a lot about common mistakes.

I’m going to talk about them in this email and the next one.

If you are somewhat new to ClickFunnels I can virtually guarantee that you are making at least one of these.

Let’s get started!

No call to action before the scroll​.

This is pretty simple to understand.

Whatever your call to action is (typically the button on the page), you need it to be above the fold.

This means that when the user gets to the page on a computer AND a phone, there needs to be a button they can click before they ever start scrolling.

No order bump​.

The order bump is the one-click button people can push to add something to their order.

This absolutely will increase the amount you make off each customer. I guarantee it. Create a small $49 product and make sure they are offered it as part of your purchase.

You WILL make more money without spending a penny more on ads!

No connection.

So you have an ad right? The ad leads to a landing page? The landing page captures the email and sends them to a sales page.

Sound familiar?

Well how well do they connect? Does everyone that clicks the ad get exactly what they are looking for?

Well that’s what your conversion rate tells you! If it’s less than 50% then there is a disconnect. They aren’t seeing what they expected to see.

Everything needs to be perfectly related.

I offer 10 tips on affiliate marketing for my free offer, then the next page offers them a course on affiliate marketing.

What does my ad say? It says I’m giving you ten things I learned as a successful affiliate marketer.

Keep. It. Simple.

SOMETHING REALLY AMAZING HAPPENED!

A baby is born......

It's a miracle.

A divine act of God Himself.

Why is it that we don't stop and revel in these magical moments more often?

Why do we not understand how amazing life truly is?

More importantly…

Why do we wait for life-altering events to reflect and take stock?

More of us (including myself) need to realize that each & everyone of us are miracles.

And that we were placed by the Creator Himself on this earth for a purpose.

What exactly is that purpose - is for us to #discover.

There's a quote that states:

"When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. Live your life in such a way that when you die the world cries and you rejoice."

So how do we do that?

How do we live our lives in a way that impacts others and allows us to rejoice while we’re taking our last breath?

We do it by taking chances. We do it by failing. We do it by challenging ourselves to grow regularly.

BUT why is it that so many of us do not do these things? I believe it’s because we lack self-confidence and fear success.

Self-confidence is understandable. All of us struggle with self-doubt from time to time. But fear of success? That doesn’t make sense.

Or does it?

Fear of succeeding is NOT uncommon. And it's visible in many forms.

Think about when we undercut ourselves on the fee for the service we provide.

"They'll never pay that much for my product. Better mark it wayyyyy down so it will sell."

Think about the relationship we stay in that makes us miserable. "They'll never respect me. Better just be glad I'm not alone."

It takes courage to live a life that we'll be proud of when we take that last breath.

My advice to you...
