Not much of Cyborg’s backstory was displayed in the theatrical cut of Justice League, so a scene like this would have been a welcome addition for audiences to empathize with Ray Fisher’s character. Going by the caption, Cyborg’s mother was going to be upset at the university’s dean for failing to call her “Dr.”. One of the biggest criticisms of the theatrical cut of Justice League was that characters like The Flash and Cyborg weren’t given enough time to be fleshed out, resulting in them being mere caricatures.
The most interesting part of this image that Ray Fisher posted is that the Cyborg actor is advocating for the Zack Snyder cut of Justice League to be released. In the past few months, support for the Zack Snyder cut has skyrocketed thanks to stars like Ray Fisher and Jason Momoa talking openly about it. Even Justice League cinematographer Fabian Wagner has advocated for the release of the Zack Snyder cut. Currently, Warner Bros. has remained quiet regarding the Zack Snyder cut, though according to composer Junkie XL and a few other folks, it is nearly complete.
