5 Passes Tour: The Premier Cycle Tour of New Zealand’s South Island
5 Passes is back! Le Race organiser/owner Sheree Stevens decided that 5 Passes is just too iconic to disappear and has stepped in to make it happen for 2018 and going forward. The traditional four-day, 600 kilometre format and epic route over the five passes of Weka, Lewis, Arthur's, Rahu Saddle and Porters remains unchanged. We can't wait to see you on the startline!

Since re-launching last Friday we have had entries coming in thick and fast, including Brian Ashby who will be wearing two hats as a rider during the day then MC each night. Entries are limited so register before 1st September to save!

WHAT'S NEW IN 2018?
Changes to the Team Time Trial.

We have made some adjustments to this category for this year as we want to give this category it's own identity and to give the TTT a chance to find the quickest team in your Grade.

There are 3 Team Time Trials during the 4 Days, Day 1 into Hanmer Springs (6.5km); Day 2 from Ikamatua (12km) and on Day 4 on the Final Stage of the Tour (26.5km).

Times for this category will be calculated from the rider who finishes in the 3rd wheel. No other stages will be used to calculate your TEAM time. But your INDIVIDUAL time in the Team Time Trial will be calculated for your General Classification (GC) not matter where you finish during these 3 sections.
