5 things that must happen on the three WWE brands this week

This could be a very exciting week for the WWE Universe!
This could be a very exciting week for the WWE Universe!

All the three WWE brands seem to have hit the ground running following the successful invasion angles and the Survivor Series pay-per-view. While RAW and SmackDown are now busy building audience interest towards the Tables, Ladders, and Chairs (TLC 2019) event, NXT, as the new A-show, is well on its way towards establishing more top feuds.

With so much in the works, the company is surely looking to end the year on a high to keep fans interested for the next year.

In that case, there are a few things that must take place before the end of December to ensure all three brands enjoy good ratings.

With that in mind, we will look at the five things that must happen on RAW, NXT, and SmackDown this week to keep things interesting:

#5 Becky Lynch comes to Charlotte Flair’s rescue

Flair needs someone to help her even out the odds
Flair needs someone to help her even out the odds

Charlotte Flair is currently engaged in a rivalry with Asuka, which has also seen The Empress of Tomorrow’s tag team partner take a few shots at The Queen.

Flair was first sprayed with the green mist by Asuka at Survivor Series, leading to her elimination, while she herself walked out on Team RAW.

The following night, Asuka defeated Flair in a single’s match by using the green mist once again to distract her. Then, last week, The Kabuki Warriors teamed up to take Flair on in a handicap match.

With the numbers game taking a toll on The Queen, and with her rivalry with Asuka far from over, we could possibly see her teaming up with someone to take on The Kabuki Warriors.

Since Asuka and Kairi Sane are the current Women’s Tag Team Champions as well, we could very well see Becky Lynch step up to partner with her longtime frenemy in the hopes of becoming a double Champion once again.

This week, it's very likely that Lynch comes out to help Flair even out the odds as the latter is receiving a beatdown from The Kabuki Warriors, setting up a Women’s Tag Team Championship match at TLC.

#4 Kevin Owens challenges Seth Rollins to a TLC match

KO never backs down from a fight

With no top matches announced for TLC 2019 yet, the company will have to step up this week and round off every possible rivalry with a big match for the event.

Currently, the hottest feud on the Red Brand is between Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins.

The rivalry began on the night after Survivor Series, and we have also seen the returning Authors of Pain (AOP) play a role in developing it further.

While we can’t be too sure whether AOP will once again be a factor in this feud, we must see KO challenge Rollins to a match at TLC 2019.

They are two of the hardest working top Superstars in the company today and just an ordinary match between them would be an injustice.

Instead, they should have a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match since this would allow both men to have several high spots and give fans a match to remember.

Since TLC will be this year’s last pay-per-view, the WWE Universe will be looking for a couple of stellar matches to end the year on a high. With the threat of an AOP interference looming, we could also see what the company has planned for Akam and Rezar during this match.

#3 Dakota Kai goes over Mia Yim

Last week, Dakota Kai was scheduled to take on Rhea Ripley in a one-on-one match on NXT. The Nightmare had promised to make Kai pay for her actions from TakeOver: WarGames.

Before their match could begin, Mia Yim appeared from nowhere to deliver a beatdown to Kai. Yim was one of the two women Kai took out while turning her back on her team.

This week, we will watch the two engage in a battle wherein neither woman will hold back. To ensure that Kai’s heel turn makes the impact NXT expects it to, she should deliver a beating to Yim before pinning her to pick up the win.

As the NXT women’s locker room is a bit short of top heels, it’d make sense if the Black and Gold brand goes all out to build Kai as the next biggest threat.

Ripley is set to compete with Shayna Baszler for the NXT Women’s Championship, and if she does manage to win the title, we need to see a formidable threat come up immediately and Kai seems like the perfect candidate for the job.

#2 Tommaso Ciampa gets his rightful title shot

Former NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa believed it’d be easy for him to return after surgery and get an immediate shot at the title he never lost.

However, Finn Balor's return to the Black and Gold brand and the rise of the mammoth Keith Lee has put a lot of hurdles in his way. Currently, the biggest match WWE has announced for this week is between Ciampa, Balor, and Lee, with the winner getting a shot at the NXT Championship next week.

Even though Balor’s return has completely changed the landscape of the Black & Gold brand, we know that Ciampa is extremely capable of overcoming the odds.

This week, he should steal the victory during the triple-threat match for the No.1 contender’s spot and set up his match against NXT Champion Adam Cole.

Balor still has a rivalry with Johnny Gargano to settle once the latter is fit enough to compete again, while The Limitless One has a long way to go before he can moonsault to the top.

A return from Gargano this week to take The Demon King out of the match will do wonders for NXT, and set up two huge feuds at the same time once again.

#1 An episode of Firefly Fun House live from The Miz’s house

Wyatt threatened has The <a href='https://www.sportskeeda.com/player/the-miz' target='_blank' rel='noopener noreferrer'>Miz</a>'s family
Wyatt threatened has The Miz's family

With Daniel Bryan nowhere to be seen, The Miz stepped up last week to try and bring his arch-nemesis back, claiming he cared for him.

‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt interrupted The Miz and challenged him to a match at TLC 2019. Wyatt also threatened the A-Lister’s family, prompting him to head backstage and call Maryse to lock all doors and stay inside the house.

This week, WWE must take this rivalry one step forward and make it extremely personal just days before the last pay-per-view of the year. Wyatt should air an episode of the Firefly Fun House straight from The Miz’s house in order to piss him off even more and increase the intensity of this rivalry.

The Most Must-See Superstar’s house is already popular with the WWE Universe as we’ve all seen several episodes of Miz & Mrs. This way, the company will be able to build on this feud while connecting Miz’s current storyline with his reality television series.

Last week, we saw how focused and intense Miz became after Wyatt introduced his family to the storyline, and taking the matter to the A-Lister’s home will only make things boil over.
