Last week, Ty Dolla $ign paid tribute to the late Mac Miller with a powerful rendition of “Cinderella” during his “Tiny Desk” concert. “Cinderella” is Ty and Mac’s 2016 collaborative record from Mac’s fourth studio album “The Divine Feminine.” Ty was joined by two of Mac’s close friends, bass-player “Thundercat” and guitarist Justus West. Both “Thundercat” and West played alongside Mac on his “Tiny Desk.”

One-year ago from today, Aug. 8, NPR Music published Mac Miller’s “Tiny Desk,” which would be one of his final performances. According to NPR, Ty was reminded on set that his visit to NPR Headquarters to record his own show was almost a year after his friend, Mac, sat at the desk. With Cory Henry and Aliandro Prawl on the keys and Ant Clemons on vocals, Ty delivered an incredible and moving performance as apart of his show, which is set to air soon.
