This book right here is why Bethany-Kris is one of my all time favourite authors, and I'm thrilled to say she brought her A+ game to this one.
It's no secret I haven't been totally wowed by the earlier books in the Guzzi Legacy series, but this one .... WOW indeed. Why? Because I got all the feels, all the anxiety waiting for the axe to fall, the guts in knots feels, the not being able to put it down, the desperately wishing it was finished so I could find out what the hell was going to happen all the while wanting it not to end, being able to totally swoon on MY Gian and more. That.
I loved both Vanna and Bene. Vanna's steely strength despite what was thrown at her (yes largely by her own making but still ... reasons) and that she wasn't too proud to grovel. Bene for his capacity to love, listen and forgive. Them together as a couple because they're perfect for each other.
All the stars and then some for this one, HOWEVER ..... and this is kind of a biggie - I do feel the ending was too abrupt, after all that had happened with the betrayal, lies and separation and the outcome thereof, they got together again in the space of a few hours and then .... The End. Given this is a standalone, this book needed some sort of an epilogue/glimpse into their future. Yes, we know they get their happy but I needed to see that. Still not taking away from my 5 star rating because even with the short-changing it's still worth every one of my stars.

Bene was absolutely delicious!!
After reading Beni, I knew that his identical twin was having a problem with finding his own identity. I couldn't wait to dive in and find out how Bene would navigate his independence. Bethany-Kris didn't disappoint! Bene's story was painful, real, and his transition seemed authentic. I couldn't get enough of him, his inner thoughts, his pure motivations, and his dirty mouth. Who can resist a man who not only knows when he's in the wrong, but actually wants to fix it?
And then there was Vanna Falco. She was holding a grudge in her heart, a score to settle that wasn't even hers. She grew up under her father in the camorra, hearing a warped version of a sad tale. All she knew was that the Guzzis had it all and she was determined to take it from them. She never factored in what going through with it would do to her. Meeting and getting her in through Bene was all part of her plan, however, she didn't anticipate the man taking her over or owning her heart. I loved how the author made her into a sneaky little back-stabbing liar, forced her to face her mistakes, and made Bene's reactions and actions realistic for each circumstance.
While I didn't like Vanna, I adored Bene and I think that was what I was supposed to get from the writing. As always, this story was extremely hot, it was really family before everything, and the love wasn't easy but it was perfect for the characters. I loved watching Bene's journey from being broken and catching a glimpse of who he'll become. I'll definitely be staying tuned for the next Legacy book, which will be Marcus's. As the oldest brother, the eldest son, he's had to look out for everyone and I can't wait to see him finally have his own much-deserved happiness.

5 “Found His Home” Stars
These Guzzi brothers are so very addicting. One by one, they steal your heart. Bethany Kris weaves addicting standalones based on the 5 sons of Cara and Gian Guzzi. Bene’s story is filled passion, desire, vengeance, healing, and love.
Bene Guzzi just needs to find a distraction, something to make him feel right again. While he doesn’t know what he needs, Vanna Falco seems to be the fix. They have an ease and a sexual attraction that is hot and at the same time comforting. As easy as a distraction should be, when there are ulterior motives, everything becomes very complicated. And when Bene’s family is caught up in his distraction, Bene must find out who Vanna Falco really is. She has a whole other life that has expectations. She knows she should abide, but Bene, her vendetta, and her lack of freedom all begin to mix together in ways that make her question her life and what she wants.
When you mess with the Guzzi Family, be prepared that everyone comes together. I LOVED that part of the story had all 5 brothers home. It was filled with contention, fear and hate. But family always sticks together through thick and thin and more so when an outsider threatens to disrupt it all. Bene and Vanna must face the family and the consequence that threatens their love and their life together.
4 brothers down and one is left. I can’t wait for the last and oldest brother to find his love.

AHHH! I legit die for this Guzzi series. There is something about the family, specifically the brothers that has me obsessed. I love the way they love one another and their partners that has me swooning every damn time. I was so on love with Bene and Vanna. Their chemistry was INFERNO hot but their banter and connection was on another level! I FLOVED this story!
After reading Beni, I honestly knew that Bene's story would rock my world. His feelings of abandonment and the dark place he was left in when Beni left had me dying for his story. And after reading it all I can say is Bethany Kris knocked it out of the park! Her writing is flawless and the way she allowed us into both Vanna and Bene's hearts and minds just killed me. This story was so raw and honest. I loved this story and how real it was. What a fabulous addition to the Guzzi series!
What I especially loved was how both Bene and Vanna were the respective safe place they both needed when their worlds were in turmoil. Bene made Vanna forget the hate that was ingrained in her and a decades old vendetta. Likewise, Vanna was the balm that Bene's soul needed when his life was upside down. I love how they found love stability and comfort in one another when they needed it most.
All in all, this story was FIRE. It was angsty, swoony and SO SO sexy. I loved it and am SO HERE FOR MARCUS! OMG. I know his story may kill me! Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula

I could not go to sleep until I'd finished this book, until I'd reached the last page and got off this emotional rollercoaster. This book was amazing. It kept me on the edge of my seat. Would Vanna be able to take the Guzzis down? Would Bene realize what was going on? One thing was certain, hearts would break, and mine definitely did.
Bene was going through so much, with his family, the mafia, his own internal battles. I loved him, his cockiness, his sweet words to Vanna, his loyalty to both his family and his heart.
Vanna, you want to be mad at what she's doing, the secrets, the lies, but knowing the reason behind them all makes that really hard. Vanna had so much going on, so many people trying to control her, change her, and then here was Bene, a man she should hate, but who adored her just the way she was and showed her another way to live.
But the truth always, always comes out, doesn't it? There wasn't a moment where I felt comfortable enough to relax, because I knew, I knew everything was going to explode and the blood and gore would get on everyone. And even knowing this, I was still shocked at what happened, the way truths were revealed. The way things were exposed and hatred started to mix with love. It was glorious.
The ending was everything I needed to piece my heart back together again.
Cannot wait for Marcus' book.

Bene has certainly been my favourite in the Guzzi Legacy Series so far! There are lots of twists and turns, some you expect and some you certainly don’t, but you have to hold on to your hats and stay gripped to this magnificent read to find out just what does happen to Vanna and her vendetta. One of the most erotic, salacious reads of all the Guzzi books, hot, hot, hot 🥵
Vanna’s father blamed Gian Guzzi for his downfall and he indoctrinated Vanna from being a child to never forget the vendetta with the Guzzi’s!
Bene is lost without his twin brother Beni and can’t seem to find his place in life or even know who he is without him! Could Bene ever be true to himself without Beni?
Will Vanna keep her promise to her father, with her forced marriage pending in the Camorra way! Vanna vows if she is forced into the marriage with Mario, she will just be his trophy wife! Vanna’s future is already written in stone!
A highly recommended must read and a well deserved 5 star ⭐️ read too!

This book felt like it fit along the same lines as this author’s The Chicago War series. In fact, it has origins from that particular storyline, my fellow mafia romance book loving friends. Since I especially loved all those books, that was a very nice surprise indeed and a compliment, as well.
My favorite part was Bene immediately finding it very beneficial to fall for this leading lady love. Yeah, he fell in a big way, and, wow, did he ever need to. Kudos for his love for Vanna finally pulling him off the path of self destruction and on the road to love and happiness. However, he eventually found out a huge secret Vanna had been hiding that put their relationship on the ropes.
Hence, the relationship drama and angst. Vanna was very determined to carry out a misplaced mission her deceased mobster father planted in her head. Thankfully, her conscience speaks for itself, but not before dire consequences get unleashed. Between you and me, I actually wish she had not jumped in the sack with him right after meeting him at the bar. I felt that set-up downgraded her character/mission. After all, she had a big beef with this family. They and him were an enemy in her heart and mind. I'd think the very sight of him would made her want to claw his eyes out not crawl between the smexy sheets with him, good looking or not. I wanted her to make him work for it, if you know what I mean. It was a door for their instant attraction/chemistry to lead to some very detailed, graphic smex scenes, of course, which is something this author is well known for.
I can’t begin to express how excited I am to know Marcus, the older brother, will soon get his story told. I do so love an alpha mobster future don brought to his knees by love.

I have really enjoyed this series. I found this author earlier this year and anxiously await all her new books. I can't even imagine two sets of twins in a family and they are each very different. I've really enjoyed learning about them and this twin thing they enjoy and suffer through. I can't wait to read the next and the next ...

I couldn’t help myself. I was so excited about this book that I gulped it down. This is Vanna Falco and Bene Guzzi’s story, book 5 in The Guzzi Legacy series. I loved the storyline, simple and effective: betrayal, vendetta, and forgiveness.

En esta ocasión tenemos a: Bene Guzzi lidiando con el hecho de que su gemelo se casó y se mudó a Chicago con su esposa, y el a quedado atrás así como los días en que ambos hacían travesuras juntos; y Vanna Falco, quien tiene una gran sed de vengarse de aquella familia que arruinó el legado de la suya.
"Bene no sabía quién era sin Beni. Tampoco tenía idea de quién quería ser, y no creía que fuera a descubrirlo pronto. Hasta ahora, todo lo que había hecho sin su hermano era ahogar sus problemas en una botella de licor o en unas horas de diversión."
Tras casarse su gemelo, Bene todavia está tratando de asimilar quien es él sin su otra mitad pero no parece ser un camino fácil por lo que elige la salida más rápida, lo que preocupa a toda a su familia.
Hasta que Marcus, el hermano mayor de Bene, lo frena y lo ayuda a enderezarse dándole cosas que hacer para mantenerlo contantemente corriendo de un lugar a otro. Esto le quita tiempo para pensar en su gemelo viviendo en Chicago con su esposa.
Bene me dio mucha pena, sobre todo porque sabía que iba a pasarla mal más tarde con toda la traición y el ver a su familia afectada por todo lo que sucede.
"—La alegría de ser adulto. Solía pensar que cumplir veintiún años sería lo mejor de la vida, y realmente...
Bene se rió, mirándola. —No es tan genial, ¿eh?
—Todo lo que aprendí sobre el crecimiento es que con la edad adulta vienen los problemas de los adultos."
Vanna estaba cegada por el dolor y la venganza. El dolor de perder al único familiar que tenía a mano de su propia gente y la venganza de su padre que ha decidido terminar.
Al principio no sabe como llegar allí pero una vez que está cerca de un Guzzi, adentrarse en la familia parece ser algo que sucede de a poco y con éxito.
Sinceramente, Vanna no fue un personaje que me gustara ni que disgustara. Fácilmente podría pasarla de largo, porque no me generó nada ella ni su historia. Me dio pena que no tuviese un ideal propio, todo era por el padre o la Camorra y nada por ella.
"¿Qué tan difícil fue eso?
¿Que un hombre diga que es el único honrado de tenerla a su lado? ¿Ponerla a ella primero antes que a él? ¿Para hacer un esfuerzo?"
El tema de la venganza no me pareció mal, pero desde que se plantea todo supe que eventualmente Bene sufriría por ella y él ya estaba teniendo demasiado con lo que lidiar para sumarle esto. Aunque era inevitable. Sin embargo, mientras más pensaba en la venganza más ridícula me parecía que Vanna estuviera llevandola a cabo cuando era obvio que ella había tenido solo una versión de los hechos y las palabras de un padre que estaba desesperado por demostrar su valía.
Además, Vanna retorció toda la venganza de su padre para convertirla en suya. Para que las razones que su padre se había dicho a sí mismo en su búsqueda por vengarse, fueran también sus motivos para vengarse. Cuando, en los últimos años, tuvo a las verdadera familia de la cual debía vengarse frente a sus ojos.
Este libro no es el mejor de la serie, al menos para mi no lo fue. El principio fue lento, la pareja no tuvo química en sus primeros encuentros (que honestamente no sé de donde salió ese primer beso y la posterior escena de sexo), y solo recien en las últimas 100 páginas se puso interesante.
Me gustó como se desarrolló todo al final y que la traición fuera tan grande que algunos de los personajes razonablemente no dieron su perdón tan fácil y que hicieran saber que debían ganarse su confianza de nuevo. Porque eso era algo que me preocupaba, que dejaran pasar lo que pasó como si nada y avanzaran.

Hasta que Marcus, el hermano mayor de Bene, lo frena y lo ayuda a enderezarse dándole cosas que hacer para mantenerlo contantemente corriendo de un lugar a otro. Esto le quita tiempo para pensar en su gemelo viviendo en Chicago con su esposa.
Bene me dio mucha pena, sobre todo porque sabía que iba a pasarla mal más tarde con toda la traición y el ver a su familia afectada por todo lo que sucede.

Vanna estaba cegada por el dolor y la venganza. El dolor de perder al único familiar que tenía a mano de su propia gente y la venganza de su padre que ha decidido terminar.
Al principio no sabe como llegar allí pero una vez que está cerca de un Guzzi, adentrarse en la familia parece ser algo que sucede de a poco y con éxito.
Sinceramente, Vanna no fue un personaje que me gustara ni que disgustara. Fácilmente podría pasarla de largo, porque no me generó nada ella ni su historia. Me dio pena que no tuviese un ideal propio, todo era por el padre o la Camorra y nada por ella.
"¿Qué tan difícil fue eso?
¿Que un hombre diga que es el único honrado de tenerla a su lado? ¿Ponerla a ella primero antes que a él? ¿Para hacer un esfuerzo?"
El tema de la venganza no me pareció mal, pero desde que se plantea todo supe que eventualmente Bene sufriría por ella y él ya estaba teniendo demasiado con lo que lidiar para sumarle esto. Aunque era inevitable. Sin embargo, mientras más pensaba en la venganza más ridícula me parecía que Vanna estuviera llevandola a cabo cuando era obvio que ella había tenido solo una versión de los hechos y las palabras de un padre que estaba desesperado por demostrar su valía.
Además, Vanna retorció toda la venganza de su padre para convertirla en suya. Para que las razones que su padre se había dicho a sí mismo en su búsqueda por vengarse, fueran también sus motivos para vengarse. Cuando, en los últimos años, tuvo a las verdadera familia de la cual debía vengarse frente a sus ojos.
Este libro no es el mejor de la serie, al menos para mi no lo fue. El principio fue lento, la pareja no tuvo química en sus primeros encuentros (que honestamente no sé de donde salió ese primer beso y la posterior escena de sexo), y solo recien en las últimas 100 páginas se puso interesante.
Me gustó como se desarrolló todo al final y que la traición fuera tan grande que algunos de los personajes razonablemente no dieron su perdón tan fácil y que hicieran saber que debían ganarse su confianza de nuevo. Porque eso era algo que me preocupaba, que dejaran pasar lo que pasó como si nada y avanzaran.

Here is the story of Bene, a character I didn't like very much in the previous book, but the author did a great job of making me change my mind about him. I really enjoyed this story, and once again I was captivated by the story from the beginning and couldn't stop reading because I wanted to know what would happen next!
I really liked Vanna. She turned out to be a strong, brave, stubborn character who approached Bene with a certain reason in mind but little by little we saw her falling in love with him.Bene is a character who is lost in this book and must find his own identity without his twin, and here we see it. Vanna and Bene are two people who might not fall in love with the secrets and lies they have between them, but together they brought the best of each other and it was lovely to see them falling in love and forming a connection.
This is the fifth book in the Guzzi Legacy series and just like the author's books here has suspense, a dangerous and conflicting hero and hot moments! Bene is a story that addresses hatred, lies, revenge, and of course a great and captivating love story.

Revenge and love don’t mix…
Bene and Vanna came together in an act of revenge. Lies and hate were quickly muddied when love knocked at the most inconvenient time.
My stomach did flop flops through this entire read! The Guzzi’s were a loving family but they also were a family you did not cross. They protected their own with a fierceness you knew if you have read any of the previous stories. Family was the heart of this romance, and there was more than one view on what truth really was…
This author knows how to write heart-punching stories and this one was, thankfully, more of the same. I got lost in this revenge-fueled story that had love and family at its core. I worried about Bene finding his way but I shouldn’t have. He and Vanna forged their own path and it was amazing…

Omg! This book was something! I floved it! It made my day! After reading Beni, I was sure his twin brother would make me feel and he did it. Loved this book and his story.
His way to finding himself is absolutely amazing. His duet with Vana is so hot and hilarious.
I was looking for this book so much and it didn’t disappoint! A must read for all Bethany’s fans and just book lovers.

Goodness I love Bene and Vanna. This is my favorite of the series yet. Nice amount of angst, puppy dog eyes, secrets, lies and love, all wrapped up in these two.

Bene Guzzi se siente perdido desde que su gemelo decidió quedarse en Chicago con su ahora esposa. Siente que debe encontrar un nuevo rumbo en su vida ahora que ya no es un "nosotros" si no un "yo". Debe hacer todo por su cuenta sin esperar que Beni esté a su lado.
Bene me rompió el corazón, porque empaticé con él, entendí por lo que estaba pasando. Como gemela que soy entiendo que no debe ser lindo pasar de estar 24/7 con tu gemelo a no estarlo en absoluto. A que tu único contacto con tu gemelo sea una vez cada tanto y solo llamadas telefónicas porque ni siquiera viven en la misma ciudad.
Entiendo su dolor, entiendo su pérdida y entiendo su lucha.
Y como entendí por todo lo que estaba pasando, no quería que sufriera, sin embargo, después de leer el prólogo supe que iba a ser inevitable que sufriera más. Por eso me llevó un poco engancharme a la historia, porque no queria verlo con el corazón roto. Ni sufriendo, ni nada.
Vanna Falco no me generó nada. Siento que su "venganza" hacia los Guzzi no tenía buenos fundamentos ni tenía fuerza.
Él padre de Vanna odiaba a los Guzzi porque para él Gian Guzzi le arruinó la vida al matar a su padre. Y al morir el padre de Vanna, ella dió vuelta todo para echarle la culpa a Gian de la muerte de él. Obviamente, a ella solo le contaron una parte de la historia, eso se demuestra más adelante cuando Bene le cuenta la verdadera historia.
Creo que una de las razones por las que no conecté con Vanna fue porque sabía que iba a terminar haciendole daño a Bene.
El primer momento entre Bene y Vanna fue carente de emoción. Ni siquiera puedo decir que fue un momento de calentura porque ni eso. No sentí las chispas.
Cuando Bene se entera de quien es Vanna realmente y cuales era sus verdaderas intenciones, ahí recién noté los sentimientos de él hacia ella. El dolor, la traición, la decepción. Todo eso venía acompañado del amor. Que es la única razón por la que la perdonó. Hasta ese momento no creía que Bene sintiera algo por ella más allá de atracción. Y visceversa.
Vanna comienza a echarse atrás con la "venganza" porque se siente culpable pero para mi no era porque lo amaba, se sentía culpable porque conoció al clan Guzzi y resultaron ser todo lo contrario a lo que su padre le dijo de ellos. Y cuando intentó arreglar la cagada que se mandó, la movía la culpa, no el amor.
*Notese que uso comillas al decir venganza porque la verdad es que no se entendí el plan, que tampoco es que tenía un plan bien definido, y que es lo que quería lograr.
Por otro lado, comprendí la ira de Marcus hacia Vanna. Que no se lo dejara fácil, lo que me sorprendió es que Chris y Corrado no estuvieran del lado de su hermano mayor. Después de todo, entendí porque Beni eligió el lado de su gemelo, ¿pero Chris y Corrado? Vanna hizo que metieran preso a su padre, hizo que su madre estuviera triste en un ático de la ciudad porque no quería regresar sola a su casa. Debían haber estado furiosos con ella.
Sin embargo, Marcus fue el único que se molestó. Aunque me conformo con el hecho de que Gian también estaba enojado. Pero de nuevo, Cara dejó pasar eso e hizo que Gian no fuera tan severo con Vanna, y todo por la sorpresa inesperada.
Dios, quería tanto que le hicieran la vida imposible a Vanna, que no la perdonaran fácil. Sentí que todos la perdonaron rápido, a excepción de Marcus.
Además no sé porque la autora siempre hace que las mujeres de la familia siempre perdonen rápido las cagadas de otra mujer o que lo olviden o lo dejen pasar. Metieron preso a su marido por culpa de Vanna, pero ahí estaba Cara dejándolo pasar y perdonando a Vanna como si nada. Mínimo le debería haber dado una cachetada, cual novela mexicana.
Sin embargo, pese a que hubieron varias cositas que no me gustaron, me quedé con ganas de un epílogo, quería conectar aunque sea un poco con la pareja.

I love this storyline. Vendetta. Love. Forgiveness. A rather complicated affair when betrayal comes under the most unexpected guise.
Bene feels lost. After spending most of his time with his identical twin, he is finding it hard to adjust to the changes. He looks for any distraction that will stop him from wallowing. Not an easy place to be.
Vanna is carrying the burden of how to avenge something that happened a long time ago. The thing is that she doesn't have the full picture of what really transpired. She has been misguided. A dangerous state of affair, but she made a promise which she intends to keep.
Bene is lost within his head, trying to find a way of coming out of his tizzy, when he meets Vanna. Coincidence? Anyway, they hit it off straightaway, and Bene does something that goes against the Guzzi rules. What appears to be harmless to him might just put an end to the Guzzis. Each time they meet, they fall a little harder, until the truth is unearthed. Is it too late to make amends? If only it were that easy.
Bene is so understanding. Hats off to him for getting in Marcus's psyche to justify his behaviour. The love between him and Vanna has a real twist, but he puts things in perspective and his actions are honourable. Once Vanna realises her mistake, she does everything in her power to put things right. She has been betrayed too.
It's amazing how the Guzzi brothers stick together when there is a crisis such as the one they find themselves in. The love and loyalty in the family shine through, and Gian and Cara couldn't be more understanding. Family comes first really applies here. This story is really emotional. At some point, it looks like there is no coming back from the betrayal, but again BK gives the outcome that most readers would expect. I would have liked to have seen how things progressed, but my appreciation of the story was not diminished. I hope that there is more light in Marcus's story, which I am really looking forward to read. Amazing story.

Vanna Falco has grown up all her life listening to her father how Gian Guzzi had ruined her family.His father does nothing but remind her that whatever happens she has to take revenge on them and when he dies her desire for revenge increases.
That is why it is set as a goal seduce Bene in order to approach him and get info that can destroy the Guzzi.
What she didn’t count on was that Bene was going to attract her so much.
“Nah, I am whatever you need me to be, Vanna. That’s the thing—this is all about you, now. Your show. You want me to fuck you slow, make you come ten times, and eat you when I’m done? I’ll do that. Do you want me to fuck you where the neighborhood can watch you scream my name? Let’s go. Or how about I get you into my place, strip you naked, spank your ass until it’s red, and use you like you want me to, huh?”
Also has another problem called Mario,son of the don of the Camorra clan,to which she belongs,who will do anything to make her his wife.
A story of revenge,lies,betrayals but also a story about love,regret and forgiveness.
“You don’t get to be the victim here. Don’t look at me and act like I’m doing something bad to you. Do you fucking hear me? You never gave a shit about me before, not when you only wanted to tear my world down, right? Well, good, you did it, Vanna. But just because the person I thought would be my world turned out to be a fucking liar doesn’t mean it stops turning for everybody else. And you don’t get to act like I’m hurting you right now when from the start, it was all just bullshit.”
“And why did you change your mind?”“Because a part of me knew I was chasing someone else’s wrongs—a part of me thought it was the only way to keep my dad alive when I worried, I was forgetting him. Because I blamed your father for the way my life went. Because I love you.”

I am always mesmerized by this author and her ability to create characters, amidst a family, that standout compared to authors in this sub-genre. This series in particular has kept my rapt attention (not dismissing the actual story that started them all with the parents, Gian and Cara since without them there wouldn't be these kids). Ever character has been distinctly different yet still had the same devotion, dedication, and love towards their family. Each brother is different, even both sets of twins that had a mirrored version of themselves still were different. I was worried after the first book what this meant for Bene considering he has had a hard time trying to find his place.
In the beginning, I wondered if Vanna was the woman for him until the pieces finally fell into place. She was seeking a retribuation and following a vendetta that was brainwashed into her very person. I hated that anything would or could possibly put Gian and the others in peril. However, as her actions started changing so did my opinion on her. Wouldn't the entire Guzzi family also follow through on a vendetta, as per the way in Cosa Nostra, to avenge their family? It is the actions at the end that determine whether they deserve it or not, and in this case, she deserved the chance to be loved and to show love.
My only on complaint with the book, and this is because I am greedy, is that it ended with a HFN for now. I wanted to see how Bene and Vanna went about showing that they could earn that trust back. Especially, in light of where they were at in their life and knowing what a rough road it would be to persuade Marcus that all would be right. Speaking of Marcus, I need that man's story badly. Considering that he has always been such a fixer and protector, as well as the only one without a wombmate, I want to see who protects him and helps balance and love him so that he isn't alone.

She was seeking a retribuation and following a vendetta that was brainwashed into her very person. I hated that anything would or could possibly put Gian and the others in peril. However, as her actions started changing so did my opinion on her. Wouldn't the entire Guzzi family also follow through on a vendetta, as per the way in Cosa Nostra, to avenge their family? It is the actions at the end that determine whether they deserve it or not, and in this case, she deserved the chance to be loved and to show love.
My only on complaint with the book, and this is because I am greedy, is that it ended with a HFN for now. I wanted to see how Bene and Vanna went about showing that they could earn that trust back. Especially, in light of where they were at in their life and knowing what a rough road it would be to persuade Marcus that all would be right. Speaking of Marcus, I need that man's story badly. Considering that he has always been such a fixer and protector, as well as the only one without a wombmate, I want to see who protects him and helps balance and love him so that he isn't alone.

Heroine has revenge plot that covers some of the history of the family.
Not necessary to read previous books of a different series but helpful.
I was a bit disappointed the heroine got involved so quickly as they are a bit insta, esp considering her plan?
No intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine but there is other man drama.
No intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine.
She doesn't have sex with other man though is forced to stay with him before her undesired marriage to him.
It does end a little abruptly, some things are still an issue but I imagine these will be resolved in future books in series through another couples story.

I really like how Bethany-Kris writes especially because she writes about the mafia life and their romances and I'm a sucker for a mafia men and this book had a gorgeous man and a lovely leading lady.
Bene is struggling identifying himself because his twin just got married and his always had Beni by his side and then he finds Vanna a women so intriguing that he has to have her, but what he doesn't know is that she is trying to get revenge on him and his whole family for what she thinks they did to hers.
I gave it 3 stars because for me something was missing, I did like Bene and Vanna but I stopped getting butterflies from their interactions at the middle of the book and I felt there was no boom in the story, no action like in most mafia books, it went all to fast. But this is just my thinking and I did not read any of the other books in the series so please have that in mind, I was given an ARC for an honest review.

After Beni's story I was worried for Bene and how he would cope with the separation. Getting inside his head is enlightening he is a very complex man. One thing about these men is when they fall they fall hard . Meeting Vanna changes him seeing him opening up to someone apart from his brother was beautiful. I wanted to dislike her asking myself why it had to be her that he was attracted to. I loved the story all the twists and turns. The secrets and revelations all kept me reading for that inevitable moment and what would happen when the family find out.

I’ve struggled a bit with this series but man BK was back with a BANG big style with this one. I love BK so I was cock-a-hoop when this book brought out all that BK goodness I am used to. All the feels, anxiety, gut-wrenching and of course swoony moments. I read this on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was going to happen.
I wasn’t sure I was going to like Bene at first but I absolutely adored him, he really found himself in this book and learned how to be him.
I loved Vanna too she was strong and feisty exactly what Bene needed. She put up with a lot from certain people in her life but she dealt with it with a quiet strength that I loved. Yes she did deserve a lot of what she got however I felt she was manipulated in her young life and not all is what it seemed.
I loved these two together they were perfect as a couple and I can't wait to see more of them ♥.
Slight edit to my review.....after some thought and discussion I feel this book really needs an epilogue. I wanted to see more of Bene and Vanna just being a couple once all the drama had settled and see how they interacted with the rest of the family. I know it ends on a happy and we will see them again but as BK says this is a standalone so I would have liked a little glimpse in to their future .

Loved Bene and Vanna's story! The story was filled with a ton of emotion and revenge. This couple definitely had spark and passion and when these Guzzi men love they love hard and fast. Vanna is one of those characters you want to hate but, she makes it impossible, although she pursued Bene with false intentions from the moment they met she was clearly drawn to the man. Vanna was between a rock and a hard place, and it is up to fate and forgiveness whether her fate will be sealed once and for all. I loved Bene a little lost and almost seemed broken because of the changes between him and his twin or perhaps something else but, one thing for sure was the fact that Vanna was somehow his saving grace, and it is only a matter of time to see which one will win the war of the heart that has fallen in love with the mysterious woman or the mind which knows what needs to be done to protect his family? Loved it!
