Required from the 1st January 2019. The East Riding Schools' Music Service seeks a temporary, part-time Brass teacher.
The successful candidate will be required to teach individual, small group and whole class sessions. A passion for widening access to music for all children, an excellent track record and the ability to motivate young people to achieve their potential are all essential.
The service supports a large range of high quality musical extra-curricular activities including bands, orchestras, ensembles, and workshop/masterclass opportunities. The successful candidate may have the opportunity to be involved. This would involve evening and weekend working ( paid as additional hours).
Both experienced and new teachers to the profession are welcome to apply for this post. Applicants must have a current driving licence. An allowance is paid to assist in the running of a car. Schools' Music Service staff are employed by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council on School Teachers Pay and Conditions. The appointment will be made up to a maximum of point 6 on the main pay scale.
