Buddhist temple in Sirimalwatta, Sri Lanka
Degaldoruwa Raja Maha Vihara is a Buddhist rock temple in Amunugama, Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is famous for its Kandyan Era Frescoes. The cave itself was said to have been excavated out of a rock which rises to a height of approximately 12.3 m and shelters the shrine room and entrance chamber.

It's a cave temple built by King Rajadi Rajasinghe in 1771. This temple is renown for paintings done on stone using natural colours depicting Jathaka stories.
The small Degaldoruwa cave temple to the east of Kandy is famous for its Kandy paintings, excellent representations of Jataka episodes in particular.
