Four is our lucky number 🚀   Not just once. Or twice. But for the fourth time, we have sent an Intelligent Banker to #emailsummit in Odense. And not once have we been disappointed.   Let’s set the scene: Over 500 individuals (80% in blazers... as expected). 1000+ cups of coffee being sipped, and 25 speakers striving for attention to voice their insights.     Sounds chaotic?   Think again. It’s peace, it’s harmony; it's the collective spirit of over 500 email marketing enthusiasts coming together to learn, to grow, to evolve. In unison.   Mette Will continuously raises the bar and knocks it out of the park each time. This year, she scored a coup by inviting Nancy Harhut, who captured the essence of humans and email marketing in just three statements: - It’s not about how think, but how we feel - Our choices are less rational and more reactional - Humans rely on auditory cues   Boom 🔥   We're excited to apply all this newfound knowledge to our own little corner of the internet.

You live some, and you learn some, and last week we got a first aid course in building websites the environmental way. Our former co-worker, Karita, shared some groundbreaking findings from her bachelor’s thesis conducted in collaboration with our company. Sustainable Software Engineering was her focus, and her research has uncovered some significant ways to build websites more eco-friendly 🌎  🔍 Main takeaway: • Optimizing videos, images, and code, not only speeds up websites but also reduces carbon emissions. How fascinating is it that data can have a dual benefit; enhancing user experience and contributing to sustainability? For instance, saving just 1kB for 1,000 users can roughly equate to a reduction of 0.08 grams in CO2 emissions. • An interesting side note was the comparison between dark and light modes in user interfaces. Turns out, dark mode isn’t just trendy; it’s also more energy-efficient. Is it just us, or is this a new, fun, and exciting way to think of code? We are pretty excited about it, which is why saying goodbye to Karita hurts even more. After spending two years with us, it’s time for her to spread her wings and move on to new adventures. Greener adventures, perhaps? It goes without saying that we’ll miss all of her - from her way of gathering people and charisma to her skills, ways of thinking outside of the box, her laugh… and her dog, Dobby. Exciting times at Intelligent Banker these days as we continue to grow and evolve.
