Jasmine Brooks was one of Deshaun Watson’s 18 character witnesses and said she never had a bad or inappropriate experience with him.
Lawyer Tony Buzbee presented a text from Miss Brooks where she states she stopped working with him because she heard stroies was messing with other massage therapists.
She also states that she warned Watson that has name was getting around and she hopes no one called her about it.
On her Instagram page today she says he words were taken out of context.
She claims she stopped working with Watson because she didn’t want to work behind other therapists and that she warned him about working with certain people because his phone number became public.
She never clarified what she meant by “messing with other people”, but said it wasn’t because of anything that he was accused of in the massage lawsuits.
The statement about the phone number doesn’t seem to mesh with the text about “his name was getting around”, but she contends she had a feeling that people might be using Watson for clout or something worse as we are seeing now.
Lastly, if she just stopped working with him because she had other clients she wanted to focus on and none of the things she was hearing about Watson was inappropriate why would she be hoping no one contacted her?
She claimed that this conversation was before the news broke about the allegations, but once again that doesn’t explain why she would be nervous about someone contacting her.
In the end, when she was contacted she had Watson’s back and she doubles down that she has never had a bad experience with him and says Tony Buzbee twisted her text message into something it was not.
With that being said, I wouldn’t put it past Buzbee to twist her words in his favor. The only way to know for sure is for the entire text thread about Watson is shared, but as of right now Brooks nor Buzbee as shared that.
These are all things you can ponder about when you check out the text message and her response.
