SEASON MEMBER ENTRANCE:
Fans with season memberships will have a devoted entrance to the Freshies' Lot B, as we ask our season members to enter at "Gate A”, as seen on the Tailgating Map linked here. Season members must show their Freshies Lot tailgate pass to enter the lot. Spaces in this lot are not guaranteed and will be issued on a first come, first serve basis.

SINGLE GAME/GROUP TICKET TAILGATE ENTRANCE:
Those who purchased single game or group tickets and wish to tailgate are asked to enter the campus using "Gate B", taking Long Road to both "Lot C” and “Lot D" or Munson Road to "Lot E".

TAILGATING FEE:
There will be a $20 fee for those who wish to take advantage of our tailgate this season in Lot C, Lot D . Lot E will act as an overflow for all five games, and a tailgate lot for Homecoming. The charge is waived for our Season Members as an added benefit. Lot A will also be a paid parking lot ($10), but no alcohol will be permitted in Lot A.

TAILGATING TIMING AND NO RENTRY:
Tailgate lots will open four hours prior to kickoff and close at kickoff. In conjunction fans will not be able to reenter the game, once they leave the stadium.

DAY OF GAME FEE:
As part of our new ticketing system, there will also be a new day of game per-ticket fee of $5. In order to take advantage of the best pricing we ask our fans to purchase their tickets ahead of the game they wish to attend.
  • Freshies Season Member Lot B. All season members will have the right to an EXCLUSIVE tailgate lot. Those who purchase a season membership will receive a special tailgate parking pass to gain entrance to the lot, free of charge!
  • All tailgating in Lot C, Lot D and Lot E will require a payment of $20 per car. All tailgate passes will be sold on the day of the game only - no advance purchase.

Hours/Access:
  • Lots open four hours prior to game time.
  • Lots will fill on a first come, first serve basis - with limited spots available.
  • All lots will close at kickoff. At that time, the lots become public areas and consumption of alcohol in the area is no longer permitted.
  • Parking spaces are on a first-come, first-served basis. Tailgaters may line up on College Avenue prior to lots opening three hours before kickoff. Access to Leadbetter's Lot B, Lot A, skybox, media, handicap, or additional preferred parking will require use of Branch Road.
Guidelines:
  • The legal consumption of alcohol is permitted in the Freshies Lot (B), Lot C, Lot D and Lot E.

    In order to enter either tailgate lot one must:
          1) Present a Season Member Pass to enter the Freshies Lot B
          2) Lot A will be $10 parking, no tailgating.
          3) Pay a fee of $20 per car to enter Lot C, Lot D and Lot E.
     
  • Lots open four hours prior to kickoff. Season Member Tailgate passes are good for 1 parking space.
  • No bottles, kegs, or beer balls.
  • Consumption of alcohol by those 21 years or older only. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • Open containers of alcohol may not be taken out of tailgate areas and alcohol is not permitted in the stadium.
  • Please secure alcohol into coolers or vehicles when exiting the tailgate area for the game.
  • You may be asked to show proof of minimum drinking age. Please understand the importance of adhering to state law at the state university.
  • Binge drinking or activities such as drinking games that encourage excessive consumption of alcohol will not be tolerated.
  • Athletic Department personnel and public safety officials are available to assist you. For questions, please contact Event Management at 581-3353 or the Athletic Ticket Office at 581-2327.
  • Portable toilets are available in all tailgate areas. The gates to the game open 60 minutes before kickoff and the ticket office opens at 9 a.m. on gameday. Fans may utilize the facilities in the stadium once the gates are open.
  • These guidelines are subject to change.                   
ADA
  • Parking is available in the front of Alfond Arena, the “Skybox Lot”. A state-issued parking placard is required for access as spots are limited.
  • ADA seating is available in sections B-K. The elevator is located under the grandstand inside the stadium.

  • Only service animals are allowed inside Alfond Stadium. Animals must be kept on a leash of six (6) feet or shorter in all tailgating areas at all times. Owners must remain in control of their animals at all times and are responsible for cleaning up any messes by their animals. Owners assume all financial responsibility for any damages to property or injury to individuals caused by the animals.
 
Admission
  • Alfond Stadium will open 60 minutes prior to kickoff. Spectators four (4) and older must have a valid ticket to enter and are encouraged to enter Alfond Stadium prior to kickoff. This serves to ease congestion at the gates. Once in the stadium, guests are not allowed to leave and re-enter. All bags will be searched upon entry.
 
ATM
  • An ATM machine is located on the exterior of Alfond Arena at the ticket window.
     
Banners and Signs
  • Hand-held banners may be no larger than 3'x3' and must not obstruct the view of other guests during the game.
 
Barricades and Fencing
  • Guests may not erect or move barricades, barrels, fencing or any other traffic control devices. All signs and instructions must be obeyed.
     
Bear Necessities Fan Shop
  • The Bear Necessities Fan Shop is located in Alfond Arena and will be open three hours prior to kickoff on gameday and remain open until 30 minutes following the conclusion of the event.
     
Concessions
  • Concessions are located at the main entrance and under the grandstand. Outside food and drink is prohibited. Beverages and pre-packaged snacks are also available for purpose on the concourse level of the grandstands.
 
Conduct
  • Maine Athletics hopes to provide a memorable gameday experience for all guests. Please help us to enhance the fan experience by demonstrating sportsmanship at all times. Spectators shall refrain from using foul, abusive, offensive or discriminatory language or gestures on the basis of gender, sexual orientation, gender identification, age, race, national origin, religion, military status, disability status or any other characteristic. If you encounter unruly behavior, please contact a game management representative. Spectators must remain off the playing field at all times. Maine Athletics reserves the right to remove from the stadium, without refund, any individuals disrupting other guests, team representatives or officials.
 
Drones
  • Drones and other flying objects are not permitted at, in, or around Alfond Stadium.
 
Emergency and Medical Services, First Aid
  • Please report any emergency to an usher or security team member. UVAC EMS crews are located on the north end of the stadium.
 
Evacuation Procedure
  • In the event that evacuation is necessary an announcement will be made and fans will be asked to return to their vehicles. Guests will be asked to exit the stadium via the nearest gate.
 
Prohibited Items
  • The following items are prohibited from Maine Athletics Events:
    • Outside food and drink
    • Coolers
    • Drones & remote-controlled aircraft
    • Horns or other noise makers
    • Ice Bags
    • Illegal Drugs and stimulants
    • Large Flags, Banners, or Signs
    • Laser Pointers
    • Pets (Not including Service Animals)
    • Tobacco Products
    • Any other item deemed dangerous or inappropriate by security or game management
 
RV Parking
  • RV Parking is limited and must be reserved. RV’s that arrive on game day not having called ahead will be directed to the free lots outside of the athletics footprint. Please call the Event Management office for more details 207-581-3353.
 
Tailgate Lot Alcohol
  • BYOB Alcohol is only allowed in Lots B, C, D, & E. Lot A is paid parking but no alcohol is permitted. Patrons found to be drinking alcohol outside of the allowed zones are subject to removal from the venue.
  • Fans under 21 must be accompanied by someone 21+ in order to enter the lots where BYOB is allowed.
  • Maine Athletics reserves the right to remove from the tailgate area, without refund, any individuals disrupting other guests, or disobeying applicable laws and regulations.
 
Ticket Issues
  • The ticket office is located at Alfond Arena.
