Queen Elizabeth has been a longtime corgi owner. She got her first pair of pups when she was a child, adopting more and more corgis (and dorgis—corgi-dauschand hybrids) throughout her life.

Sadly, the Queen's last corgi has now passed away. People reports that 12-year-old Whisper died last week at Windsor Castle, and was the Queen's last corgi after her other furry companion Willow died earlier this year. 92-year-old Queen Elizabeth reportedly adopted Whisper from a palace staffer back in 2016, and stopped breeding corgis in 2015 to prevent any from outliving her.

Rest in peace, little guy.
