Green Taste Vegan Goods recently opened as San Francisco’s first all-vegan grocery store. The store offers a range of grocery items such as vegan yogurt, dairy-free cheese, JUST Egg, gluten-free pasta, snacks, cold-pressed juices, as well as a selection of household items. Green Taste also serves vegan doughnuts and self-serve Catahoula Butkus blend coffee and tea. Owners Sergey Karpuhin and Davier Mayes conceptualized the all-vegan and cruelty-free market after becoming vegan two years ago. “We opened Green Taste Vegan Goods to offer locals and visitors of San Francisco a fully-vegan grocery market with a selection of foods and household goods where customers wouldn’t have to read every label,” Karpuhin told VegNews. “We see this store as a platform to spread the idea of caring for your neighbors instead of eating them.” Starting in April, Green Taste will host after-hours Q&A sessions and social networking events. Karpuhin and Mayes are also working to launch an online store and same-day grocery delivery in the San Francisco Bay Area.
