Papers available for West Boylston election; see whose terms are up this year
WEST BOYLSTON - Papers are available for the June 1 town election.
The last day to obtain nomination papers is Friday, April 9 at 5 p.m.; The last day to file nomination papers with the town clerk is Tuesday, April 13, at 5 p.m. A minimum of 45 voter signatures is required on nomination papers.
Available seats, and incumbents, include:
• Select Board (three years, two seats): John Hadley (who is not running for re-election) and Patrick Crowley; Crowley, papers certified, Matthew Dewar Jr., pulled papers, Kristina Pedone, papers certified, and Marc Frieden, pulled papers;
• School Committee (three years, two seats): James Pedone, papers certified, and Jason Ponticelli Sr., who pulled papers;
• Cemetery Trustees (three years):John F. McCormick III, papers certified;
• Library Trustees (three years, two seats): Janet Bricault and Mary Ellen Cocks; both announced they were not running; Tammy Hubbard and Stephanie Hannum pulled papers;
• Planning Board (five years): Marc Frieden, pulled papers;
• Board of Light Commissioners (three years): Winthrop Handy, who pulled papers;
• Housing Authority (five years): Brenda Bowman, pulled papers; and
• Water Commissioners (three years, two seats): Robert Bryngelson Jr. and Stanley Szczurko Jr., who both pulled papers.
