Thursday, 3 December 2020 - 11:30pm to Friday, 4 December 2020 - 12:30am

In the early 1980’s an entertaining Ska band the Strange Tenants were a fixture around the Australian pub rock scene. Bruce ‘Boots’ Hearn was the band’s vocalist, trumpet and harmonica player.

Woody Guthrie was a progressive thinker and also regarded as one of the most significant figures in American folk music.

Bruce Hearn was inspired by Woody Guthrie to put together a band, Bruce Hearn and the Machinists to interpret his songs and help pass them on to a new generation.

With songs like like I ain’t got no home, Worried man blues, and Hard times. Woody’s songs are as relevant today as when he wrote them.
