Mudam – the Contemporary Art Museum of Luxembourg is a place of sheer aesthetic delight. The building, designed by the famous architect I.M. Pei, sits right next to the historic Fort Thüngen in the Dräi Eechelen Park, between the Place de l'Europe and the Old Town of Luxembourg and blends perfectly into its historic surroundings. The public and exhibition spaces are laid out on three levels over 64583.46 sq ft.
Mudam is a venue for all artistic disciplines, including painting, sculpture and video art. Its collections and programme count more than 200 works by more than 100 artists and reflect current national and international creative trends.
Through its collection, exhibitions, programs and partnerships, the museum aims to advance its mission to collect, present and make accessible the most relevant art of our times, for the largest public possible.

Me, Family; 28 Oct 2020 – 30 Jun 2021
This is an extensive project comprising Mudam Collection displays, events, a publication and an online platform. The project is intended as a portrait of humanity at the beginning of the 21st century, reflecting on diverse subjects from technological progress, digital innovation, pleasure, fun and individuality to the darker aspects of alienation, social inequality, war and identity crises. It draws inspiration from the iconic exhibition The Family of Man curated by Edward Steichen, which aimed to present humankind as a family through the medium of photography.
25 years of the Mudam Collection; 21 Nov 2020 – 03 Apr 2022
This presentation, based on a selection of some forty artworks, offers an overview of themes that address form, methods and attitudes in contemporary art, from the 1960s to the opening decades of the 21st century.
Joints, voids and gaps by Leonor Antunes; 10 Oct 2020 – 14 Nov 2021
This installation is composed of a suspended structure made from steel and tied cords that doubles the hexagonal profile of the pavilion and serves to frame existing and new sculptures.
