CUMBERLAND COUNTY — Two East Pennsboro police officers and the fire chief of Northeast Fire & Rescue were honored today for their heroic actions after a young boy riding his bike was hit by a car.
The boy suffered severe injuries to his arm and uncontrolled bleeding.
The men used a tourniquet to stem the flow of blood and save Gabriel Harris' life.
"I feel grateful, and I just want to thank the police. Because if it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be here, and I'm just happy they found me on the spot," Gabriel said.
As you can imagine Gabriel is now in need of a new bike, so officials also presented him with a brand new set of wheels.
