This Tuesday, CEO of Business Angels Europe Marie-Elisabeth Rusling spoke at the SME Assembly in Graz, Austria. The SME-Assembly is the most important event on the further development of a policy adapted to the needs of small and medium‑sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as of support measures for SMEs. Under the motto “Connect. Share. Innovate.” high-level representatives, successful entrepreneurs and policymakers inform themselves about the situation of SMEs in the member states, award prizes for the best initiatives that support entrepreneurs and shape the future of SMEs in Europe.

Rusling shared the results of the WA4E report (download here) to get more women to become business angels with European Commission project manager Dana Puia and key stakeholders from all over Europe.

Furthermore, Rusling had the pleasure to be in the jury of the 2018 #SMEWeekYouth Essay Competition, which was about what steps entrepreneurs and governments must take to be more innovative. Marija Elena Borg from Malta was the happy winner in Graz.

At the end of the SME Assembly 2018, the 550 delegates contributed to make manifesto for an innovative Europe. Now let's make it happen!
