gossip girl meets cruel intentions

this was a whole lot of unexpected fun. i signed up to ARC review this completely on a whim as i haven't read anything from this author before, but the premise hooked me and honestly... it didn't disappoint.

basically, hot serena-type donovan comes back to town after being gone for 5 years. reunites with her 2 best friends from when she was 12, grey and liam. and the ultimate love triangle begins. set in manhattan amongst hella wealth and luxury, this book is a wiiiiild ride of passion and privilege.

i'm a little rusty at reviewing so imma stick to my favorite format

what i liked

from the beginning this book hooked me. it felt like stepping back into gossip girl, and as a long time fan... it felt nice. but then 3 chapters in i started getting cruel intentions vibes??? this book is definitely not lacking in atmosphere or drama.

while the plot wasn't exactly inventive, i really liked how easily readable this was. it felt escapist and indulgent and in times like these that's exactly what i needed. i'd also be lying if i said i wasn't a sucker for a bad boy in an expensive suit.

oh yeah, and the sex scenes? hot as fuck.

what i wish had been included

now you're probably wondering why i gave this book 3 stars if i'm extolling its virtues left and right. valid point. i guess for me i REALLY needed 2 things for this to be a perfect read.

1. i needed the love triangle to be more convincing. i don't think it's much of a spoiler to say that the book has 2 POVs but there's 3 people in a love triangle. it's clear to the reader early on who donovan is going to pick. which is great... except the pitch for this was a really heated love triangle and all throughout the book we're kind of led to believe that she's having a REALLY hard time deciding what she wants.... even though it's clear to us who she is going to pick.

it felt a little predictable in that way. i wish the tension had been ratcheted up either in having both of the guys being TRULY viable romantic candidates OR in making the book poly. i'm not new to romance so i wanted something a little more out of the box.

2. this book could have desperately used a little bit more backstory. i was really excited when i saw the first chapter was a flashback because that usually means there is going to be some focus on emotional history to make me understand why 2 characters want to be together. but sadly that is the only flashback in the story. and in present day, we get told NOT shown why the 2 characters who are endgame should be together.

which is frustrating. because a 5 year separation with a LOT of baggage could have been an interesting thing to explore. in some ways that baggage prevents them from getting together right away but it's from a miscommunication perspective. i would have preferred some talking earlier on in the story... build the relationship beyond just sex (which is often my complaint of new adult romance).

and then 2a.

i really wish the level of violence had been taken down a notch. this is a corollary to #2 because i think had the hero's outbursts been cut in half and replaced with actual communication and relationship building this book would have been damn near perfect. he is never violent towards the heroine but throwing shit around your room and punching other dudes isn't cute.

all of that to say. i'm fucking hyped to read more from this author. this is easily the most fun i've had reading a book during quarantine and if you love either of the films i listed at the beginning, i really think you should give this a try.

Filthy Little Pretties is by Trilina Pucci. This is the story of three high school seniors, all entitled, all given everything they could want growing up, except the one thing they really wanted, love. But they found that love in each other, three best friends, inseparable, until one of them was forced to leave.

two boys and a girl - Google Search

Liam Brooks, Grey McCallister and Donovan Kennedy grew up together, did everything together, loved each other. But when they were twelve years old, Donovan was forced to move away with her mother, the three of them not knowing when they would ever see each other again. Now, five years later, Donovan is back, all grown up.

rowing competition - Google Search

It’s senior year at Hillcrest where Liam and Grey go to school. Grey is captain of the school’s rowing team, Liam his second. It’s the last thing either of them ever thought they’d see when Donovan got out of the limo. Suddenly the world is right again. Donovan didn’t realize how much she needed her two best friends back in her life. But they aren’t kids anymore. Feelings are stronger. She needs them both, loves them both, but she loves one differently than the other. But she can’t choose. How could she ever let one of them go?

“Friendship isn’t the right word for us, even though it is. We find comfort in each other’s company, in a way we can’t achieve with any others.”

filthy little pretties trilina pucci - Google Search

In a way, these three seemed a lot older than what they were. Grey was seventeen years old, Liam and Donovan eighteen. They all pretty much raised themselves. But in other ways, they were typical teenagers filled with emotions they weren’t sure how to deal with. Liam and Grey were more brothers than friends. Both of them loved Donovan with all they had. But they also both know that only one of them could really love her the way she needed. A LOT of mistakes were made and hearts were hurt as these three tried to find their way.

“I am not led, I lead.”

filthy little pretties trilina pucci - Google Search

I have to say that this book was beautifully written. The amount of emotions between these three was breathtaking. They all had legacies they would fulfill some day, huge amounts of pressure on their shoulders. But I also have to admit that even though I knew this was a New Adult themed romance, if I’d known they were so young, I probably wouldn’t have read it. It made me feel a little uncomfortable at times. I also didn’t like the way the boys, especially Grey, embraced his entitlement. The way he spoke to his teachers. Again, I understand, it was the way he was raised, kind of like his defense mechanism. But still, it did bother me.

All in all, though, I did like these three and really wanted things to work out for them. All they really wanted is what we all want, love.

First. Last. Only

5 ”Grey and his cherry” stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If I don’t stop it now, our mutual attraction will become too hot to snuff out. And I do not doubt that if given an inch, Grey won’t just take a mile; he’ll devour exactly sixty-six inches because he’ll stalk, pounce, and prey on me.

This book was like a freaking roller coaster with so many unexpected and surprising twists and turns. It always kept me at the edge of my seat. Angsty high school romance are my kryptonite. I just love those teen drama with enough steam to keep me going. This one blew my mind and was way better than my expectations. I read it in one seating. I just didn’t wanna miss any single minute of it. It has become one of my favourite friends to lovers romance.

The story revolves around three people. Donovan, our heroine and her two childhood best friends Grey and Liam. The MCs are typical rich teenagers who are damaged and broken, each with their own problems. It’s set up in an elite high school. These three have always been close but then donovan has to move away for a few years. When she comes back all grown up and sees how her two besties have turned into such hotties, feelings start to grow into something much more. And the drama unfolds from there, testing their friendship.

Donovan was really broken with her parents ignoring her all the time which led to her spiraling. Once she gets back, she is able to become happy as before with her two boys. You could definitely see a strong connection between her and grey and trust me their chemistry was off the charts. The push and pull was so strong that there was no way they wouldn’t end up together. She was strong, sassy, caring, smart and always willing to sacrifice her happiness for their friendship.

Sometimes you have to feel the loss to know what’s important, Cherry. And if she feels anything like me right now, it’s like a fire poker to the heart because—I love her.
Goddammit. I love the girl.

Grey was perfection. He was the king of the school, caption of the rowing team, handsome, dominant, possessive and destructive. He was always pushing Donovan for more. He was like her backbone, willing to fight her demons and do anything for her. He considered Liam his brother and knew only one thing could damage their bond and that was Donovan. I loved how he knew what he wanted and went for it. Even though it might seem like a love triangle in the beginning, you will already know who she really belonged with.

”Wanna know how I know? That you haven’t been really kissed? It’s because your mouth begs for it.”
My mouth begs for it? Jesus. I can’t answer. I’m fuzzy. Turned on and stupid. His eyes drops to my lips, and I realise my tongue is sweeping my bottom lip.
“See. Begs.”

I loved every single thing about their story. It was raw, passionate, angsty and so beautiful. I loved that they were able to save their friendship. The three of them belonged together. The sexual scenes were sizzling. I couldn’t get enough. The author was true in saying that academy has never been so scandalous. The writing was beautiful. One of the best reads of 2020. I’m eagerly waiting for Liam’s book to come out next and soon.

I highly recommend this one. ♥️♥️

4 STARS

This book was a roller coaster ride for me. I went from “This book is so far a 3 star read” to “Okay this is getting interesting so 4 stars” to “FUCK IM GOING TO GIVE THIS BOOK 5 FUCKING STARS FOR THIS SCENE” to “what, nope. Going back to 4 stars”

So Donovan, Grey and Liam are childhood friends, they get separated when they are 12ish because Donovan’s parents get divorced and she moves to Spain with her mother.

5 years later she is back and reunited once again with her boys, who are hell bent on moving out from the friend zone. The years Donovan was apart, she was a complete mess and she believes that once the boys get to know about her “mysterious past” they wouldn’t look at her the same way.

Now this was something that was being brought up again and again in the book, equally to the amount of times the word “Friends” was being brought up. It came to a point where I literally wanted to punch Donovan for just saying the word “Friend” like HUNNNYYYYY ”friends” don’t like kissing each other or friends don’t go down on each other. Also was her past fucked up? I mean yeah okay fine we can say it was.

Spoilers Ahead

Also when I started the book I thought the whole premise of the book is supposed to be about who Donovan would pick right? but we literally already know who it is from the start because we only get to read 2 POV’s. Donovan’s and Grey. So it’s pretty obvious that Grey is the love interest and poor Liam never had a chance. And also when you read the book it’s pretty obvious that Donovan connects with Grey on a deeper level than Liam. So again, he never stood a chance.

Now Grey was always confident that it was going to me him, until Chapter 24 where all hell broke loose. Omg that was like my favorite chapter from the entire book. After that chapter I was like FIVE FUCKING STARS BECAUSE FUCK YOU GREY.

Okay so let’s just say Caroline (Grey’s step sister/Donovan’s nemesis/now friend?) filled Grey’s ears and then Grey thought he saw Donovan with Liam and assumed she chose him over her and was fucking pissed so he took his revenge. And holy shit did that shit hurt. Fuck that was the chapter that I actually finally had a soft spot for Donovan because Grey took things too far in the cafeteria. And omg some of the iconic lines from that chapter

First from my Liam baby to Caroline who filled Grey’s ears because she wanted Liam all to herself.

” Let’s go. It’s enough now, Van. Fuck him. Fuck her. And you—” He scowls, looking at Caroline. “—you aren’t the girl I thought you were. I don’t know what you did, but I choose Van.”

Ahhhh that’s what I call a nice slap on the face. Fuck iconic moment.

And then Donovan baby’s reply to Grey. Fuck I loved her after this.

”I wish I could hate you. I want to hate you… Donovan…. don’t leave with him.”
I push his hands from me, looking into his deep chocolate eyes. “I would rather have my heart broken by him than ever be loved by you.”

This chapter was my favorite because I got my heart broken here by Grey. And now I was waiting for the groveling because literally hours after the whole cafeteria incident Grey had gone batshit crazy that Liam and another friend of theirs had to lock him in his room and basically guard him so that he doesn’t go to Donovan. Because Grey was hellbent I’m seeing her and begging for forgiveness.

”Are you here to stop me from getting to her? Because nothing will stop me from getting to what’s mine. You aren’t standing in my way.”

And Donovan does forgive him, literally immediately which I did not like AT ALL. Like she should have let him stay batshit crazy for at least a week. Like COME ON GIRL. And Liam agrees with me too.

”In the cafeteria… He treated you like dirt, Van. Likened you to a whore and…” His eyes move away as his words trail off. He can’t even look at me. “Why can’t you hold him accountable”

Liam baby said it all. So that’s why I went from five stars to four......

But overall I did enjoy the book Grey and Liam were my favourite. Donovan was a 50-50 for me. And Caroline. I still hate her... bitch also needs to redeem herself.

3.5 Stars.

This book tells the story of Grey McCallister, Donovan Kennedy, and Liam Brooks, three childhood best friends that get separated at age 12 when Donovan moves with her family to Spain.

Six years later, Donavan comes back to New York and the innocent relationship she had with the boys is no longer that simple, also she's harboring some secrets of her own.

As you can pretty much guess from the above this book has some MAJOR Gossip Girl vibes, and I was here for it. I loved the drama. However, I think I needed a bit more from the story. It's pretty clear from the start who Donovan will pick in the love-triangle, and I would have loved to see more flashbacks from when they were childhood friends. We understand that Donovan, Grey, and Liam are damaged and faced a lot of issues together, but that's never really shown on the page, or shown just briefly.

At the end of the day, the relationships and plot points never deepened. I wanted a lot more backstory from them, especially Gray - he had so much potential.

However, this definitely was a fun book. If you like a high-school drama, Gossip Girl, and steamy scenes, you will not be disappointed.

This is the kind of angst filled NA storytelling I adore. Packed with real emotions, teenage cliques and the type of bad decisions that hurt your heart.

These wealthy teens seemingly have it all, when in fact they’ve only got each other. Their relationships are what make or break them and who you trust is a dangerous game. Surface friendships abound so when something deeper threatens the status quo not everyone will play fair.

The dynamic between the three main characters was delicious. The kind of chemistry that drips from the page & has you fanning your face as you read.

You’d never know it’s the author’s first foray into NA. She absolutely slayed it! My heart was racing, my iPad was slammed onto my bed more than once and I might have cursed at her on occasion.

Cannot wait for more from this band of rich misfits.

This book.
So many words, descriptors, and feelings involved. I could put them all down. Write them out like their own story while weaving my emotions together on a wire, clothespinning them for everyone to see... but I won't.

This book was that nitty-gritty teen angst, the kind that grips your chest like those guys in high school did, promising you so much while unknowingly ripping your heart to shreds.

It's right in the feels of being a teenager and not knowing what to do but trying the best you can. Living your best life at an age where nothing is right and everything is wrong, experiencing the worst of moments and the best, all while frozen in the middle of friends and love and the need to survive.

This story captures all of it. It encompasses the true meaning of mature YA/NA and raises it further.

I'm absolutely enamored with these characters and what Trilina brought to the table. Hands down one of my favorites, passing this up would be like missing those teen years we all wanted to experience, even if there was no choice but to grow up too soon.

"I love him so blindly that I would take him even in misery."

First and foremost: This is NOT a triangle. At all.

It appears there needs to be some clarification, because I keep hearing people say this is a triangle and I figured I could quell the fears. This is NOT, I repeat NOT a triangle. Is there competition? Sure.... but the blurb says it all and she's only picking one. But the journey of these characters and the way their relationship grows and spirals out of control - that is what the story is about. That is what made this an emotional read for me. One I will not soon forget. One I *will* have signed on my shelf.

The opening of this book was so honest and so innocent - it honestly started out in the most perfect of ways. It totally solidified the storyline for me, especially looking back on it. It immediately drew me in because I love honest love, and this provided an unaffected look at the world through innocent eyes. But knowing how it started and looking back, it was the backbone of the story - one I will remember for a while. Oh gosh.....Grey, Donovan, and Liam. I love them. I love them ALL.

"Of all the pieces she's giving me, it's always been her heart I wanted most."

I know I am always ranting about unnecessary or forced drama and how I hate it in books. Did I worry about the 'reasons' or the 'drama' that was in this book.....this time, I can definitively say no. It was teenagers testing waters. It was hearts defying minds and logic. It had drama, but it was age appropriate stupid-but-real drama. But the writing, the story in itself, had me seeking more as I turned the pages, and that's what I love about her writing. I think Pucci's voice is so raw and unrefined, but thats what I love about it. She's so talented. She’s grown since I first started reading her and not only is her voice getting stronger, her stories are more encompassing.

She wrote this with a scintillating rumble that I could just feel and hear of two men that are deeply affected by their woman. Yes, their woman. But in what way? Hmmm? Right...it is definitely the part that intrigued me the most when I first read that synopsis. She gave so much character to her characters. Their depth was there for discovery, and their journey was mottled in many ways. So many variables. Family is friends is lovers is life. #BeeQuote

I think you should really check out this EXCERPT on my blog: http://bit.ly/3cQuJKo

NA is a unique genre for me to entertain. It needs to have something that keeps me turning the pages without saying “I’ve read this already.” I want something that pulls me in but doesn't have me rolling my eyes. It's such a tricky genre for me but this book feels like it was written just for ME to enjoy. I loved this one SO much. It was everything I needed and wanted out of an NA, and it just strengthened my love of Trilina Pucci's writing style and voice. I know her from a much different storyline, so to hear her from this voice, this aspect - it was a neat departure.

The opportunities for more are HERE!!!! I need MORE of this world and these kids. Need > Want. Make it happen, Trilina!!

This was 100% my type of story!!!!! Childhood best friends, sexy alpha protective guys, a love triangle and best part NO BULLY TROPE! I absolutely LOVED this story. Donovan (who they call Van) has been gone for the past 5 years and she's back swearing off boys. Enter: her 2 childhood best friends who have grown into sexy men and are determined to get into her pants!

I absolutely ADORED their friendship and the flirty banter! I've seen people compare this to Gossip Girl and Cruel Intentions and I TOTALLY saw it especially Gossip Girl with it being based at NY private school. I absolutely loved the 3 main characters especially Van. She was fierce and I liked how she stuck up for herself but yet was still down to earth. She wasn't a mean girl. But then of course, I couldn't get enough of how her besties stood up for her too. That's my weakness! Those overly protective guys!

I really appreciate that this didn't have the bully trope because I've read several stories like this where the best friend comes back and the guys who use to be her besties are now the biggest bullies. But that didn't happen in this one which just made it feel different!! 🙌 While they're definitely the alpha dogs of the school and Grey had his a-hole moments he still was so loveable. He did make me super mad at one point though.🙄 In true Cruel Intentions vibes I did hate his step sister and definitely did NOT ship anyone with her.

This was such an addictive sexy story that I couldn't put down and ended up staying up all night to finish. My only compliant is that it started to feel a little long at the end! But if you love a good love triangle and the childhood best friends trope I def recommend this. Just be warned it does some HEATED sexy moments including a little scene with all three of them. 🔥 I'm already wishing for more stories like this! It reminded me of Paper Princess too which is a fav of mine!

WOW!! Trilina Pucci is back with a mic drop with this new sexy and angsty YA romance! Filthy Little Pretties is everything we have come to love in this genre....it is edgy, rebellious, full of drama, and the teen angst is OFF THE CHARTS!

I was completely drawn in by these characters from the Prologue. There is something special and different about Donovan, Liam, and Grey's friendship, and you just know their ties will be tested over the years. My pulse and heart were racing with every page as I anticipated what was to come. As I fell harder and harder for each character, and cheered on who I believed in my heart belonged together, I was torn between their loyalty to each other and their tests of friendship. They were both loyal and cruel to one another; they loved and hated; and they protected and manipulated each other. OMG THE ANGST!!!!!!

This book reminded me of a cross between Gossip Girl - the lifestyle of the young, rich and elite of NYC, and Cruel Intentions - the sexy and manipulative drama of mature young adults. The flirtatious, provocative, and steamy scenes in this book will leave you breathless, and torn between who belongs together and the real meaning of young love and lust. It is everything I love and crave in a YA romance, and I could not get enough of these characters.

If you love YA angsty/bully romance, then YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK!!! I'm absolutely addicted to this new world and can't wait to see what's next in the series. Well done once again T Pucci!

Filthy Little Pretties by Trilina Pucci is the story of Liam Brooks, Grey McCallister and Donovan 'Van' Kennedy. This story starts with Van telling her boys that her parents are leaving and taking her with them. They around 12 year old and we learn that they are all best of friends but much more they feel like their own family. Grey is taking it especially harder because he feels that Van is the only one who truly loves him where he knows Liam is more on a friend love level. But we quickly enter into their present day to see what has happened to them but something has changed...Van is back. Tensions is high because of course things didn't stay the same they are older and Van is starting the peak of womanhood. Can their friendship survive the changes and lies that have happened between them? First, Last and Only was their words when they were little. “Chuck Bass has nothing on Grey McCallister!”
Trilina Pucci gave me everything I wanted! It’s angsty goodness and I ate it up. I must caution, you might throw your kindle and then pray it’s not broken. If sexy, high school drama is what you crave…Filthy Little Pretties is going to give you all that and more. Seriously, someone needs to make it into a television show so that I can relive these words.

5 FILTHY LITTLE STARS!! Grey, Liam and Donovan grab my attention from the first page. These three have one heck of a story to tell you, from a young age as friends through their teenage years. The feels and angst were off the charts in this book, just the right amount for the perfect book. Trilina Pucci is a phenomenal storyteller and you need to read this book.

„Even a villain is someone else’s hero.”

With filthy rich adolescent characters, ever-present drama and startling plot-twists, this book gave me major Gossip Girl vibes. Trilina Pucci rocked the New Adult world, which has its own laws and rules and is as unpredictable as its young protagonists. Filthy Little Pretties is riveting and consuming, it makes you completely addicted to this story and these characters. You enter the world of beauty, wealth and splendor, only to discover the flipside of this life. Cherry on top? Deliciously steamy and angsty romance that keeps at the edge of the seat and makes you crave the attention the heroine gets!

I loved all three of leading characters, each of them for something different. Donovan for her loyalty and sass. Grey for his possessiveness and intensity. Liam for his laid-back nature and kindness. They complemented each other beautifully and formed a perfect trio. The friendship they shared was simply amazing. But what happens when stronger feelings will get through their perfect bubble? You’ll get an angst-fest of epic proportions! Secrets, lies and deceit are just the tip of the iceberg that these three have to face. Combined with sexual tension and the heat that could turn on even a nun, you’re set for an incredible journey.

Crack open the Moët and put on your Louboutins, because with Filthy Little Pretties Trilina Pucci pulls you into the world of glam and pleasure, where deception is a regular occurrence. This book will push your morality to the limit and test your emotions. This angsty and unputdownable story is completely captivating and exciting!

The best part about this book is that the heroine isn’t some weak helpless submissive girl who drops her panties at the site of two hot guys.
Donovan is strong, broken, witty, b*tchy and sexy. She does what she wants and fights for what she wants. Sometimes, her decisions really started to get on my nerves. Seeing her play two guys was hard but at the same time I could also understand the dilemma set by Pucci.
It has two strong heroes for whom your support will switch to and fro. They’re both a piece of Donovan and she doesn’t want to lose her friendship with either of them.
A love triangle is made realistic, full of drama, jealousy, lust and of course love.
I give it a four star because it was disappointing to see she did not have a single girl friend. All the girls in the story had beef with her. I love her friendship with the guys but maybe a sweet heartwarming friendship with a girl would have been just what Donovan needed to clear her head.
With all things considered, I had a lot of fun reading this and I definitely encourage you guys to check it out! Its a story that will leave you wanting for more and trust me i regret that I finished it in a day :(

Great until about 80% but not so much after

I saw this book praised by a lot of youtubbers so I decided to give it a try. And until about 80% I thought for sure that I would give it 5 stars. Alas, it wasn't meant to be.
This is a high school, childhood best friends to lovers, triangle romance.
The blurb says it's a combination of Dangerous Liasons and Gossip Girl and it sure delivers on that part.
The main characters Grey, Liam and Donovan are 17 or 18 years old. They've been childhood best friends until Donovan moves to Spain when they are 12. They get reunited 5 years later when she gets back to NY and all attend the same prep school for very rich kids.
Up until 80% this book had it all. 10/10 entertainment factor, best sexual tension buildup I've read, great angst level but not over the top.
And then we reach the last 20% where it becomes too much. Over the top drama and angst and cheesy dialogue that got me rolling my eyes so hard. It lost it's charm for me, hence my rating.
Will I remember this in 1 month or so? Probably not! I already forgot some of it. 😬
Will I re-read it? Don't think so!
But I'm gonna read the next book cause I love bitchy Caroline. Wish there was more of her machinations in this book to be honest.
And another thing, at times the pacing was too slow for me and the book seemed overly long.

Safety: 3-4 graphic sexual scenes (one of which a threesome) but most of them happen after 80%

Some Choices Are Made For You

Angst level MAX!!! A love triangle between childhood best friends that will have you completely hot and bothered one minute and ready to throw something the next. Donovan, Grey and Liam will have you tied up in knots! You’re going to have to choose and it will tear you apart.

Donovan, Grey and Liam were always best friends. Then an ugly divorce tore Donovan from their inseparable circle when they were twelve. It’s been five years and now she’s back. The young girl they never forgot, turned into a woman they‘ll sacrifice anything to claim. Even their lifelong friendship. The boys have always shared everything, but neither is willing to share her.

Donovan is a lucky girl. Two guys who will do anything to make her happy and who love her unconditionally. She’s strong and can handle business when she needs to. She may struggle with her own demons, but she loves hard.

Liam is the sounding board, the voice of reason. He also brings levity to any tense situation, he’s good and he can always make Donovan laugh.

Grey is broody and intense. He loves so hard that it consumes his soul. He’d burn the world down around him for her. He’s bad decisions and heartache but his heart is devoted.

There comes a time when their friendships will be tested. The love they share becomes romantic love. Donovan will have to choose between friendship or love and it may just tear them all apart.

This story was EVERYTHING! It ate away at me. It was intense. It was beautiful friendship. It was first love and forever love. It made me envy Donovan at times and hate her at others. The push and pull created between Liam and Grey will force you to pick a side, even though you’ll love them both. The tension and angst will make you crazy, but I promise you it’s worth it. The author made me live in their world and I loved it. I’m hoping that this is only the beginning because so many more characters have their own story’s to tell.

This is my second book that I’ve read by Trilina and I’m really loving her writing style. Our main characters Donovan, Grey and Liam have such great chemistry. They’ve been friends forever and have such a great friend dynamic. The banter and secrets that they share with each other made their relationship feel real and not forced. But, when you bring in romantic feelings into the relationship, it makes any situation tricky. I thought this book was a lot of fun. It really grabbed my attention from the beginning and it had Gossip Girl vibes. If you love the high school drama, cattiness, and lots of steamy scenes, you’ll surely won’t be disappointed with this book. I can't wait to read book two!

Grey is the man!! I love him sooo fucken much. He is the definition of Alpha-bad-boy-Sweetheart 😍 okay, so I'm not sure this is an actual definition but it describes him and he is amazing .
Grey totally made this book.
Some of the other characters actions got on my nerves. Especially Donovan (h)

This was a rollercoaster. At times slow at times intense.
It's a good read and it's NOT a love triangle. I know right before starting I asked my friend if it was Just so I could prepare myself. She said it wasn't and soon after I started reading I recognized it in fact was not.

If like me you are a fan of Gossip girl and Cruel intentions then you will love this!

Taking place at an affluent Prep School this book was not only filled with drama and angst but also heartache and secrets.

A story of 2 boys and 1 girl that they have known and loved since kids.
“First. Last. And only.”
The triangle And push and pull between the MCs had me anxious and engaged till the end.

Loved the side characters snarky banter by the girls competing to be HBC.
“My nemesis is back. It’s so cliché that I could jump off a bridge.”

Looking forward to the next interconnected book in series.

This book may have had some flaws but goddamn the Gossip Girl/Cruel Intentions vibes were off the roof. Basically, this was hella entertaining and the banter made up for the gratuitous violence and somewhat lackluster ending.

“Fuck yourself, Cherry. Rub that needy little clit.” Her breath is unsteady as she rocks her hips faster, bringing her hand to her clit. Her fingers begin rubbing as she stares at me with her lips slightly parted, panting. “Get there, because then I’m gonna feed you my cock.”

Shut the front door! As if this is Trilina Pucci’s first attempt of writing NA romance!!

Pretty sure I’ve just read a top read of 2020…

High school drama. Teenage heartbreak. An epic romance story between first loves. Tons of sexual chemistry. Filthy Little Pretties has the perfect amount of drama, heartbreak, angst and romance to keep the story authentic to its characters whilst leaving you on the edge of your seat.

I loved reading about this group of elitist teens living in debauchery and excess. I had no idea what I was getting myself into at the beginning, but before I knew it, I was CONSUMED. For days. I often found myself laughing out loud at the banter and wit of the characters.’ It was refreshing to say the least.

Donovan and Grey have one of those once-in-a-lifetime loves that withstands time and circumstance. Add in their relationship/brotherhood with Liam and you have quite the trio.

The secondary characters were given just as much life and soul – I wouldn’t say no for more stories in this world. Hell, I’d buy tickets for front-row seats!

P.S. Wait until y’all see the cover. *drools*

⭐️ 4.5 First, Last and Only Stars ⭐️
Trilina knocked it out of the park with this NA goodness! I'm usually a little nervous when reading about high schoolers and their shenanigans, but Trilina portrayed the journey between these three, childhood best friends beautifully. Donovan, Grey and Liam meet at the tender age of 12. They may have been young, but the foundation they forged was the glue that would bind them together.

The three of them were so dynamic in their own ways, yet they complimented one another beautifully. Liam was sweet and caring, where Grey was broody and unrelenting. Van loved them both for their different personalities, they filled a part of her she'd been missing as long as she could remember. Van was tough, man I loved that about her. She stood her ground and stood up for herself in a way that made me proud.

There was some serious HEAT in this romance. My Kindle almost caught on fire and I was about to combust from the sexiness. My heart broke for these three, the feels were at an all time high. Money certainly can't buy you love. The three of them had access to more than most can imagine, but being loved is priceless and that's what they longed for. What a great journey this was!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 STARS

Trilina Pucci has delivered a story that will floor you! I loved that it emitted a Gossip Girl-esque feel crossed with Cruel Intentions!

I was anxious to read this story when I learned the characters names and it was just a thought in Trilina's mind. When chatting with the author last summer, I had called it that #GreyIsMine and she agreed that he is mine (***I totally took a screenshot of that conversation***).

The relationship between Donavan, Grey and Liam is something that survived years apart, even through adolescence. Once reconnected, the trio just continued on as nothing had changed. I loved the dynamics between them.

These three words ... First. Last. Only. ... best fit and represent Donovan and her love. I'm not going to spoil it and state who, but it's all about the journey anyway; just enjoy it. Filthy Little Pretties by Trilina Pucci is an EPICALLY addicting read and will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!
