Money Moves! Cardi B to Headline Las Vegas Residency at Palms Casino Resort This Spring

The Grammy-nominated rapper will headline her own residency at KAOS, a new complex set to open in Sin City in April

Cardi B‘s latest money move is taking her straight to Vegas.

The Grammy-nominated rapper, 26, will headline her own residency at KAOS, a new complex set to open in Sin City in April, the Palms Casino Resort announced Wednesday.

The Associated Press reports that G-Eazy, Skrillex, Kaskade and Above and Beyond will also receive exclusive residencies at the resort and casino, which is currently undergoing a $690 million renovation. The final product will feature “state-of-the-art technology,” including a DJ booth that rotates 360 degrees.

Ahead of the residency — expected to launch this spring — Cardi will be performing Super Bowl weekend in Atlanta. The “Bodak Yellow” rapper will hit the stage with Bruno Mars during the Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest the night before the game, and is also expected to star in Pepsi’s sought-after Super Bowl commercial. She’ll then perform at the Grammys on Feb. 10, where she’s nominated for five awards.

In the meantime, Cardi has turned her unfiltered opinion towards politics, slamming President Donald Trump for refusing to end the federal government shutdown over his controversial border wall, now in day 32.

“Now I know a lot of y’all don’t care because y’all don’t work for the government or y’all probably don’t even have a job but this s— is really f— serious, bro. This s— is crazy,” she explained in an Instagram video earlier this week. “Our country is in a hell hole right now all for a f—ing wall and we really need to take this serious[ly].”

“I feel like we need to take some action. I don’t know what type of action, bitch, ’cause this is not what I do, but bitch I’m scared,” she finished. “This is crazy and I really feel bad for these people who need to go to f—ing work to not get motherf—ing paid.”

She wrote in the video caption, “I know a lot of ya do r watch the news so I’m letting ya know s— getting real …..I ain’t going to say nothing much tho I don’t want mofos to off me…..ANYWAYS TWERK VIDEO OUT NOW.”

In a separate post, Cardi went on tell her followers that while “it’s a little boring to watch the news,” it’s important to pay attention.

“Soo many people under my comments talking about I shouldn’t talk politics ,I don’t know what I’m talking about , I’m dumb ! Well I know alittle something something..I know 800,000 federal government workers won’t be getting paid till the shutdown is over and government assistants program are shutdown as well as in NO WELFARE , NO WIC,SECTION 8,” she wrote.

“I know it’s a little boring to watch the news but it won’t kill ya to visit some IG pages of people that talk about what’s going on in our community like @shaunking@tamikadmallory and shiiieeett sometimes uncle snoop and Charlemagne be saying some s— that goes over ya heads .PAY ATTENTION !!! This can go on for months and it will affect our homes and Country,” she added.

The government closed on Dec. 22 in the wake of Trump’s call for funding for a proposed southern border wall.

The billionaire businessman-turned-president, 72, claims he needs the wall to stem a “crisis” of drugs, violence and human trafficking. Congressional Democrats, empowered by the midterms, have rejected that — calling a wall immoral and ineffective and offering to negotiate about border security once the government is reopened.

It currently remains unclear how or when the shutdown will end.
