Ghosts are real.

Well, technically speaking, maybe not. But the ones that haunt a man’s soul? Those are very real. So real, in fact, that there are times when Castiel would rather silence them forever in the worst way possible than to go on living with them haunting his every step.

All it took was one single second in time for his attention to drift, and everything changed.
Life as he once knew it, is over.

Now he’s struggling to make sense of the pieces that are left, and he’s fairly sure at least half of them are missing.
He’s living for three things now.

His club—the Bear Bottom Guardians.

His work as a police officer for Bear Bottom Police Department.

And the occasional glimpse of a girl that makes his spirit feel free.

Despite the ghosts that haunt him, he’s not willing to present them with another target. Which is why he has to stay away from her. He can’t touch her. He can’t talk to her. He can’t get anywhere near her.

Not and live with himself afterward.

The only problem is, Turner doesn’t care what Castiel wants. She also has a solution for his ghosts.

You may call her Ms. Ghostbuster.

Castiel is a stud.
No, seriously.
They don't call him 'Hot Cop' for nothing.
But he's been burned. He was married to a rich woman with high expectations and after their divorce, he's enjoying his newfound freedom.
He's not interested in being weighed down by another rich woman.
So why can't he get Turner Hooch off his mind?

Turner was once a big girl.
After a successful surgery, she still hasn't come to terms with her newfound hotness.
She's never had a boyfriend. She's never been wanted. She keeps people at a distance so they can't hurt her.
So why does she want to bring Castiel ever closer?

I loved these people. LOVED THEM!! Once they found themselves out of the enemy phase, they meshed together like peanut butter and jelly. When tragedy struck Turner's life, Castiel was there for her every step of the way and I loved how no one even had to ask. No one even questioned the rightness of it. It just was and that's that.

Lani Lynn Vale seems to always create stories that warm my heart. Characters, both male and female, that make me swoon. Plots that dribble a bit of suspense and that are always unique. Themes that will never get old. These are stories that can be read again and again and again. For an enemies-to-lovers tale, Keep It Classy was low on angst, high on feels, and a guaranteed good time.

Turner had a difficult childhood and made some drastic changes in her life. She’s not had the opportunity to live the experiences that most women her age have. She’s quirky and I love her strength. Castiel is a hot cop and, unfortunately, not many get to see past the exterior. He’s been burned before and is cautious. He and Turner have a spark that they try to fight.

The plot was interesting, with everything from an unconventional job to someone intending to do harm. The unique LLV voice shines through once again and made this another great addition to the series. I am very much looking forward Liner’s story.

I could tell about 3 chapters in that Lani had left her heart with this one. The story of Turner and Castiel is so sweet. The loss and heartache is very real that you can sense how difficult, but therapeutic, this must have been for her to write.

I love Turner and Castiel. I'm a big girl and could totally relate to Turner's struggles as a teen and her self-esteem issues as an adult. I love her relationship with Jubilee. The closeness of her and her dad is so sweet. I could not put it down and sleep it was such a captivating book!

While all of her books have real issues, events, and are relatable, this one I could feel her love and grief in each page. I highly recommend this book and the whole series. Lani you have once again written a fabulous book and I continue to be in awe of your writing.

4.5 'Racing Emotions' Stars

Oh my Lord.... Only Lani Lynn Vale can manage to break my heart, repair it back together and end up making it soar like this! Be prepared for all the FEELS and all the EMOTIONS of Keep It Classy!

In all seriousness, I never expected this book to have the emotional impact it did in me, specially the heartfelt loss and devastation of a beloved family member, that I will not reveal who to not spoil, that you could FEEL came straight from the author's own emotions and heartbreak. It was heartbreakingly beautifully written.

The premise on itself couldn't be more exciting, given my love for a well created 'enemies to lovers', and Castiel and Turner - that had me more than giddy after their antics in the previous book - couldn't have been any more brilliant together. I loved how we still got a bit of their banter in the book, and then how naturally it transformed, specially on how it did, and the turning point where Castiel truly step it up and proved to be the BEST book boyfriend by being there for Turner when she needed him the most, and how their feelings and relationship organically and naturally evolved from there to a combustion point, and some insanely sexy and steamy times.

Once again, in true LLV's fashion, we had it ALL in Castiel and Turner's story! Plus, with all the soul deep emotions in it - showing us not one epic love but two, I'll just say Turner's dad tore my heart into pieces, at the same time as made be swoon - just made the already gripping, funny, uber sexy and suspenseful filled storyline into an epic love story that I won't soon forget and an all time favorite from Ms. Vale. We could feel the soul deep connection she had with the story, and just made it that much more brilliant to us as reader. These Bear Bottom MC's men really are something else - in the best of ways - and I can not wait to see how the next falls, specially Liner. Counting down the days!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

“I’m not like any man you’ve ever met,” I agreed. “I’m entirely different. I’m unique. And I’m also not a boy making fun of a girl. I’m a man that finds his woman highly attractive.”

“What drew me to you wasn’t your need for me, but your need for speed.”

Castiel was the love of my life. He’d been there when no one else had been…and given me things that I’d never known I needed.

Turner Hooch....I knew I was going to like her when I first read her name. As quirky, confident and funny as Turner is, down deep she has self-image issues that date back to her childhood. Castiel has intrigued me since I first met him earlier in the series. He’s hot and a tough cop, he first meets Turner when he pulls her over for speeding and let’s just say that first meeting between the two didn’t go well, LOL. Ever since their first meeting Castiel acts cold, almost rude to Turner and she doesn’t understand his behavior, but she does know how to give as good as it gets. Every encounter is full of sexual tension that they both want to deny but cannot ignore. When tragedy strikes Castiel steps in and helps Turner when she needs it most, this strengthens their bond and chemistry. Once they stop fighting each other their love for each other is all in and all consuming.

Castiel and Turner’s story is a great read, it broke me at one point, like I really didn’t want to read what I read, but the part that broke me was full of realistic emotions and beautifully written. The bonds that existed and grew in this book were heartwarming. KEEP IT CLASSY is typical LLV, full of emotions, laughs and some suspense yet a totally fresh and unique story.

Castiel is a cop who has been there and done that when it comes to wealthy woman. When he first meets Turner Hooch, he thinks she could be something special. Turner is a spitfire with a need for speed, but when he realizes she has money he writes her off. That is until he realizes that there is more to Turner and the woman he is falling for is as independent as it comes. However, she has another admirer who is out for blood.

Loved this, I had my interest peaked when I read about Castiel and Turner in the last book. Turner is like an onion, there are some many intriguing layers to her. Loved the characters in this one and am anxious for what is next. Always a guaranteed work of perfection when reading Lani Lynn Vale's books.

Jesus H Christ! This is just as bad as the last book. What’s on my list of worst book subjects?? DEATH!!!! And not just death, but death of a loved one and A DYING KID!!!! Why??? What about that screams romance?!?!

So Castiel (detective) and Turner (virgin, BFF to Jubilee, has a stupid ass name) have been giving each other hell since he gave her a reckless driving ticket. Personally, I think that was a dumb reason for her to get mad. He was doing his job. Anyway, not only does she have the worst name, Turner Hooch, but she is also the daughter of a famous Nascar driver, and she’s a former fat kid. Castiel assumes she’s a spoiled rich girl and he hates her because he thinks she’s a b*tch just like his rich EX-WIFE!!! I hate when the MMCs were married prior. Then relatively early on in the book, Turner’s mother dies!!!! We spend half the book dealing with her death, planning the funeral, making all the calls to family, having the funeral, etc. IT’S SO F*CKING DEPRESSING!!!! Then add to that the fact that there’s a dying kid in the hospital that Castiel has ties to, it just makes for a horrible read. You don’t feel good while reading it. I have enough depressing shit in real life, I don’t escape to books to read more depressing shit.

Anyway – surprise, Turner has a stalker, just like Jubilee in the last book. Yay 😒 😒 Issues with this were first, the guy shows up several times. Turner gets the heebie-jeebies from him and doesn’t mention it to her cop boyfriend?? Plus, she can never remember where she’s seen him before. It’s not like it’s been years since she’s seen him. It’s several times within a few weeks. Then, Castiel, THE COP, can’t figure out why the guy looks so familiar either. You’re a detective. Part of your job is to take in surroundings and people. How has HE not figured out it’s the same guy showing up everywhere they are?! It just didn’t add up. Then at the end, we didn’t get any resolution with the stalker/serial killer. At least I felt like it was kind of dropped off.

The sex. Their first time is in the church where Jubilee is getting married. He takes her virginity (a big deal) but he never acknowledges what a gift that is to receive. I hate that. Then Jubilee shows up banging on the door and yelling. I hate when author’s interrupt a couples sex. Also, why the fuck is someone continually banging on the door?? Do you not get the hint to let the person finish what they’re doing and give them privacy?!?! Pisses me off.

The Ex. The ex is supposed to be the reason for all his trust issues and then we never actually address her until the very end, where Turner goes to break into her house because she’s stalking Cass. Then he proposes to her outside of his ex-wives house!!!! JFC why even put the ex into the picture???

Then it’s the 94% mark before he ever tells her he loves her, and it’s only because they’re in a deadly situation. Sure – that screams romance.

Ugh. Plus we have the damn repeats that LLV insists on putting in ALL of her f*cking books. The thunderstorms, the beards, the potty humor, and JFC why are there so many twins in this freaking town?!?! And apparently there’s even a twin issue in the next book!!!!

I’m giving it 2 stars for now, but I might lower it once I think about it a little longer.

Love and sorrow….

Castiel and Turner rocked this story! Enemies they may have been but attraction and like blossomed into a relationship that grew under pressure and would have to weather so much. Keep It Classy had everything I’ve come to love about this author’s stories - laughter by the bucket full, family by the dozen and love, in all its flavours…

I laughed, I cried, I spit out water as I devoured this emotional roller coaster. Starting out with Castiel grumbly and Turner bewildered why, the snark quickly gave way to unexpected support and a sweetness that melted my heart. Oh the battles these two had! That thin line between love and hate was never so transparent but it took a lot to wake up Castiel from his self-imposed exile. Turner was just the person to do it, too, with her optimism and fearless ability to poke the bear. Her bear as they both discovered.

There were so many layers to both characters and it was a joy to uncover each and every one. Turner, strong and resolute, though fragile under her take charge attitude. And Castiel’s crusty exterior crumbled under Turner’s ability to laugh and see him for him… When they came together, I heard the universe come into alignment (over the tears and the laughter).

Standouts included intriguing sub-plots and family and friends, all of which brought so much to table. Oh and I can’t not mention the chapter headers that had me laughing out loud again and again…

Great writing and a beautiful story made this my new series favourite! Until the next one, of course…

It was great read. Though, I have to say I thought it will be different based on the blurb. I imagined something different about Castiel past and that he will put more fight about his feelings towards Turner. Not that I'm complaining. Lol. I'm happy theirs relationship was smooth. And I liked theirs dynamic.
But there was a couple of things, that were off for me. Like Turners stalker. How he ended up stalking her? Why he stalked her? It's because of her second 'funny' job? Or because of something else? What about that novel like comment on her father's social page? Was this from the stalker? Because it seemed it was. And what the heck, with them all basically seeing stalker stalking and they were like forgetting about him when he's out of sight?
Then about Castiels ex. It seemed she was still bothering him on each month basis, based on his thoughts, but she wasn't in your face, so to speak, until a bit at the end. I wouldn't minded more drama from that.

5 SMOOCHES!

I read the author’s dedication in the beginning of the book, and my heart was in my throat. I just knew that Lani was going to channel that pain into this story. I was right—she did. Vale has written other gut-wrenching, devastating stories, like Mess Me Up for example, but this one was very different. Keep It Classy had a distinctly personal feel to it, and this is one of the things about this author’s writing that makes her work so special. She shares pieces of her life, her observations, and little things that happen in it and to her, her family and her friends. These parts of her stories are what I love most about Lani’s books. Those real-feeling conversations and incidents that happen to everyday people, written with Vale’s spin, are what make her stories so relatable and addictive. In Keep It Classy, it just so happens that it was an emotionally painful experience that Lani drew upon to form the backbone of this plot.

But in true Lani style, she balances all the heavy emotion with some well-timed, appropriately placed humor, a sexy romance and an interesting, suspenseful plot. Witty banter and explosive chemistry pulled me into Turner and Castiel’s romance, but it was the sweet, swoon-worthy way their initially antagonistic relationship morphed into a tender and sexy love that kept me tapping that pages of my Kindle. Vale nailed it in this story, proving she can pack in all the feels and still turn out an amusing, entertaining story. Five smooches from me for Keep It Classy by Lani Lynn Vale!

I would never have read this book if it hadn't been available on scribd. It seemed like a nice & short audiobook so I went for it. It also helped that this book fit for a challenge I'm doing ;).

Keep it classy was quick and sweet. The FMC used to be overweight and got mocked and teased for it as she grew up. After her operation, she lost a lot of weight but she still doesn't feel confident and she's very self conscious about what people say. Castiel, on the other hand, is divorced. His first marriage didn't go well and when he figured out that Turner had also a lot of money, he was wary about doing the same mistake. However, he turned out to be a pretty good guy and he found out quickly that Turner is nothing like his ex.

Adding the lost of a parent & a stalker going around, this book had enough action to keep me entertained for a few hours. It's a forgettable book but I enjoyed it while it lasted.

Keep it Classy is Castiel and Turner's story! Castiel is surly over his ex-wife; because of this, he thinks that any woman of privilege is bad news. Turner's dad is a famous race car driver and she has never wanted for anything. Castiel is not impressed.

Turner had weight loss surgery as a teen and her weight struggles play a huge role in shaping her character. I think lots of readers will relate to her. Castiel's past (namely his vicious and vindictive ex) have made him a little untrusting. Turner and Castiel have a few embarrassing run ins where they both let their prejudices show. Castiel steps up to help her after a family tragedy. As they get to know one another, sparks fly.

Turner is such an interesting character! Formerly overweight, her self image is a part of her story. However, she also was a former race car driver like her dad (but no where near as famous) and has a twin brother in black ops for the military. She lives in an RV her father gave her-because he gets one given to him yearly. Oh, and she writes subtitles for pornography.

Keep it Classy will delight LLV fans because you get all the things you love: glimpses at past couples, steamy romance, and plenty of laughs with the danger!

  POV: dual 1st
  Tears: a few
  Trope: opposites attract, MC club
  Triggers: none
  Series/Standalone: stand alone

Let's I say that this author is one of our favorites because every time we open one of her books we know we were going to be in for one heck of a ride and this time it was no different as she is definitely the master of story telling.

We enjoy this story from beginning to end it was funny as well as tragic and infused with a little bit of drama that turned deadly.

Castiel was known as the town Hot Cop as they tease him an he has a thing being attracted to women not meant for him. Castiel has a ex wife who was a bitchy rich girl and he doesn't want to go down that road again but, who turns up Turner Hooch who he is highly attracted to but also a rich girl to.The attraction between Turner and Castiel was evident from the start as they were always slinging snide comments constantly at each other all the time but, every time they were in a room together the sparks shined bright. We found Castiel to be sexy, hot, generous, kind,he had a sense of humor but, he also carried around ex baggage as well as family baggage constantly weighing him down.

Turner was a character you can't help but love although she came from a loving home and family she suffered her with her own personal demons and suffered a great deal of bullying growing up from the high school kids.I loved Turner she was just a colorful character all around right down to what she did for the jobs she did for a living right and right down to her sassy mouth and sexy curves.I loved the bickering that went on between her and Castiel and I have to say they they made us laugh out loud on and off though out the entire story.I will say that her porn side of things just made things more interesting as well as creating some really hilarious moments yet again for us to laugh out loud all over again.

When tragedy strikes for Turner Castiel gives into his desires and all those reasons for staying away from Turner fell to the way side.I loved these two together they made a really cute couple and were perfect for one another and had a lot in common with each other and she was light and fun something he needed more of in his life .The chemistry with these two was super hot which created more than a few super hot sexual encounters which made them unable to keep their hands off each other and in turn kept them engaging in the act in the most usual places.Let's just say their first time together was frig-gen hilarious and just thinking about it I am laughing in my head.

I loved the story it was so much fun to read about this couple and I think they are now one of my favorite couple from the Bear Bottom MC.This story yet again was filled with amazing character's we just really love each and everyone of those Bear Bottom MC character's as they always have your back and are loving and pure entertainment from beginning to end and we loved it!

What can I say about another phenomenal read by Lani. Lani does it again and she draws me in and keeps me reading until I am finished because I have to know what is going to happen. Lani always has this way of drawing me in and keeping me reading until the end because her description of things and places and people has my mind thinking I am right there at Bear Bottom right there with the guys and girls.

This is Castiel's story and I have been waiting to see if he was getting his own story because he was always quiet and brooding in the corner never trying to get to close to anyone and never trying to put himself out there. I now know why and my heart goes out to him but I LOVED Turner she is the bomb! Turner makes him feel things he has not felt in a long time and makes him have hope again.

Castiel being Castiel keeps his distance from her until he can't anymore. When he finds out she is in trouble he is right there front and center waiting to help her get through what she needs to and keep her safe and sound.

Will Castiel let his guard down and let her in or will he strictly keep it business and help Turner out as a friend.

Lani Lynn Vale is one of the few who knows how to pull at my heartstrings, make me laugh, and also fire up my libido all in one book.

Castiel and Turner's story was not different.

I've been waiting for Castiel's story for a while, but I was so pissed at him in the beginning for judging Turner based on someone else's behavior. That's as bad as judging someone for their skin color or sexuality, so that made me deduct a star.

Thankfully, he made up for it in spades, once he got his head out of his ass.

I enjoyed the banter between these two, but more than anything I loved that once he was in with Turner, he was in 100%.

I also thought Lani did an great job dealing with the effect that the teasing from Turner's past had on her. It wasn't brushed under the rug and I appreciated that.

I understood going in that this story would be emotional due to the heartbreak Lani and her family were going through. I just didn't know how she was going to lay it all out. First off that Dedication had me in tears before I even started the book! This story came out of something so painful that the emotional journey throughout really does make us as readers FEEL. I didn't expect what happened in this story and it hit me hard. This story goes beyond petty judgment, bickering and misconceptions. Don't get me wrong! There is still that wonderful sarcastic witt we all love so much. A abundance of crazy dysfunctional moments that have you in fits of laughter. Sweet moments and of course the sensual goodness to!. But stripping all that back this book is so much more. It's love and loss, heartbreak, healing, friendships and memories. It's remembering that we never know when our time is so enjoy what you have right now.
I bet she'd of been so proud of you for this!Lani Lynn Vale P.s how do I get Turner's job? That is hilarious!. Seriously though.. Castiel and Turner are the best!.

Let me try to keep this simple and to the point, folks. Having meet this main couple in the last book, I was very excited to see this enemies to lovers romantic tale unfold. Castiel was a hot cop with an unexpected chip on his shoulder when it came to a certain unfair, preconceived notion about Turner Hooch, the heroine. But not to worry, soon enough he realizes the errors of his ways.

There were several elements in this book that instantly appealed to me: caring cop hero, sassy heroine, prickly back and forth banter, and mutual dislike turns to smoking hot chemistry and genuine affection. Throw in the sweet, various ways Castiel stepped in and helped turn a sad, tragic family situation more bearable for Turner, and I was even more happy to see these two knuckleheads wind up together.

Regarding the title, I must admit I’m a little baffled. It is quite catchy, but I didn’t overly think it fit the storyline at all. In fact, it seemed contradictory. You see, Turner’s second side day job was anything but classy. I felt it cheapened this romantic tale, even bogged it down with unnecessary x-rated material/details that detracted, not added to the story line. I just didn’t expect, want, or need the descriptive visuals that popped up on her TV/computer screens etched in my memory. Her unusual, unique main job of being a funeral home hairstylist was enough to set her apart. The second one added a sleaze factor, IMHO.

I also was amazed that for a small town with a possible serial killer on the loose people weren’t more attuned to their surroundings. I swear I think the guy could have been walking around wearing a Scream 2 mask and no one would have noticed, despite the fact he seemed to be lurking everywhere. Several “Hmmh, who’s that guy? He sure looks suspicion?” comments were made then quickly dismissed. This town was more trusting that I expected them to be, folks.

All in all, I do tend to enjoy this author’s unusual sense of humor in her romantic reads. She’s relatively new to me, so I’m delighted I’ve got some catching up to do with her previous books, which always tend to feature alpha males and sassy, feisty heroines with plenty of naughty, steamy smexy scenes.

Title: Keep It Classy, Series: Bare Bottom Guardians (Book 7), Author: Lani Lynn Vale, Pages: 252, stand-alone but part of a series, numerous very graphic steamy scenes, lusty language, divorced cop hero, enemies to lovers, bizarre serial killer subplot, porn-video content, some violence, former obese heroine, lived in the same town for years.

(I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I was not given any payment or compensation for this review, nor is there any affiliation or relationship between this reviewer and the author/publisher/PR firm.)

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

Ghosts are real. Well, technically speaking, maybe not. But the ones that haunt a man's soul? Those are very real. So real in fact, that there are times when Castiel would rather silence them forever in the worst way possible than to go on living with them haunting his every step. All it took was on single second in time for his attention to drift and everything changed. Life as he once knew it, is over. Now he is struggling to make sense of the pieces that are left, and he's fairly sure at least half of them are missing. He's living for three things now. His Club-the Bear Bottom Guardians. His work as a police officer for Bear Bottom Police Department. And the occasional glimpse of a girl that makes his spirit feel free. Despite the ghosts that haunt him, he's not willing to present them with another target. Which is shy he has to stay away from her. He can't touch her. He can't talk to her. He can't get anywhere near her. Not and live with himself afterward. The only problem is, Turner doesn't care what Castiel wants. She also has a solution for ghost. You may call her Ms. Ghostbuster.

I am so in love with Castiel. He is the man!!! He is one hot cop but he also been burned. He was married once upon a time to a woman who just had way to high expectations. Now they are divorced and he is enjoying his freedom. Turner has had a bad childhood and has made some serious changes in her life. She has never had the opportunity to experience the things that most people her age have. When these two meet they have an amazing spark but they fight it. Their banter is hilarious and I was so hooked on their story I could not put it down. I have love all these Bearbottom men but Castiel just might be my very favorite. Once again Lani Lynn Vale has written one amazing book. I can not wait to see what comes next.

I'm gonna give this book a solid 5 stars not because it was the best book in her series because it wasn't, I'm gonna give it 5 stars because it was the most real book she's ever written.
This was unlike any LLV book I've read, and I've read them all. This didn't have that explosive battle and blow up with the antagonist like her other books even though it did have a mild blow up. This was a book focused on a real life issues...body image and loss.

Turner had been overweight her entire childhood and she did something about it. She also begged her mom to do something about it as well. Lani did some major research into what its like to be overweight, out of shape, body shamed, bullied and on the verge of suicide. She also looked into what people had to contend with in the after affects of the route they chose to go for weight loss. This was written so well and it was the most real thing I think I've ever read. She did such an amazing job with this book.
The slow build to her and Castiel's relationship (well it wasn't that slow but slow enough 😉) was so very sweet. He secretly thought she was hot and vice versa and they acted like they totally hated each other, mainly becuase he had been burned so bad and he didn't want another "rich chick". She surprised the crap out of him. He was there fore her when she didn't have anyone and it kind of stuck. I have to say that this Epilogue....GAVE ME LIFE!!!!!!!!! I loved it.

I don't know if there will ever be a time that I don't love a book by this author. She is one of my very favorites and she is most certainly the "auto buy" author for my sister and I.

Freaking loved this book... Lani Lynn Vale You Rock Lady... This book made me so emotional (you will know when you read it, lol) but it was also a freaking good read.

Turner's childhood was a difficult one, but then she decided that enough was enough and she made some changes. Now her life is what she wants it to be. She is hilarious, she is quirky and so much inner strength that it will amaze you. Castiel was the person that she just did not like. After giving her a ticket for speeding it was all down hill from there. But when her life is turned upside down, the person that steps up is the most unlikely person she would have ever thought.
Even though Turner is probably everything like his ex wife was, a rich spoiled brat, Castiel couldn't deny the attraction he had to her. But he was damned if he would admit it. But when Turner's life seems like its upside down he had no choice but to be the man she needed and falling inlove with her along the way was just too easy.

This book was sweet, funny, sexy, steamy, intense, dramatic, and full of suspense and danger was lurking right around the corner. Turner and Castiel's story will have you invested from the start. Everything Turner went through some of us can relate to and then for her to find her one in the midst of everything will just have you falling in love with this authors books. Definitely a favourite of mine.

4 STARS

Keep it Classy is the 7th book in Lani Lynn Vale's Bear Bottom Guardian MC Series. It follows the love story of Turner and Castiel. Turner has had a difficult childhood and past. She hasn't had as many experiences as most. She is quirky, fun and I adored her strength.

Castiel is a sexy, broody cop. He lets very few into his heart. There are immediate sparks between he and Turner but he spends far too much time trying to fight those sparks. He has pre-conceived notions about Turner thinking she is another woman of privledge right from the get go. His ex was as well. He has just been burned by her and he has a chip on his shoulder about it.

What I love about Lani Lynn Vale's writing is her ability to write gut wrenching powerful, emotional reads one moment and a book full of humor the next. Her writing is diverse and unique and I know that everything single book will be different every time I pick one up and this one was all of that.

The reason I gave this 4 stars is that the plot jumped all over the place. Turner's second job was creating subtitles for porn while watching them. She also has a crazy stalker out to get her and mixed with the drama of the push and pull between Turner and Castiel it was a choppy read.

I do think this entire series is excellent and regardless am glad I read it and would still recommend it.

I know I sound like a broken record but I'm so happy I went back to this series & read Turner & Castiel's story!

This one was filled with WTF tears, cheesy subtitles, a Creepy McCreeperson, a b*tchy-but-absent ex-wife, an orgasmic motion-in-the-ocean scene & so much more.

Turner... My heart felt so heavy for this girl. The battle with her weight & the humiliation she suffered when she was younger was terrible & then the loss of someone so important to her later on... Why, why, WHY did that have to happen?! I loved the many sides of her; doing hair on dead bodies, writing for the porn industry, racing cars... I only wish Castiel got to experience the rush of racing 130+ mph with her! That would've been epic.

Castiel... His judgey self got on my nerves in the beginning. I get that he was wary of Turner because of his past but it was clear as day that Turner was NOT his ex-wife. I loved when the tides changed & he recognized Turner for who she really was. He got pretty swoon-worthy at times & that led to some memorable steamy encounters.

I do wish that there was more resolution where Castiel's ex-wife & her nephew were concerned though. Those things were kinda just brushed to the side at the end & I'm not a fan of loose ends.

Excited to continue on with the series but I'm not super-psyched to read about Tara's twin...

Keep it classy is another Lani Lynn Vale piece of gold. I loved the humor, the banter, the heat between her couple and the fiery sass of her heroine. It was everything I loved in a LLV story and more. We saw a glimpse of Castiel from It Happens and saw a hint of his acrimonious relationship with Turner but we could never have expected the sizzling connection between them. I loved this story!!

Castiel was a man who had deep-rooted ghosts and painful memories. He found himself intrigued by Turner, a sassy, outspoken girl with a need for speed, but he wouldn't allow himself to fall for her due to his painful past. But when they keep crossing paths and then a tragedy occurs that implodes Turner's world, Castiel takes it upon himself to be there for Turner. But he would never have expected to fall for the woman who shattered his misconceptions about her.

I loved this story so much. It was full of delicious banter and had a suspenseful element that this author is known for. The feelings Castiel and Turner developed for one another felt so genuine and their love story so raw and real. I can't wait for the next one from this author! Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula

"What drew me to you wasn't your need for me, but your need for speed."

I've been looking forward to getting to know the #HotCop better. I met Castiel earlier in the series and I knew he had some issues and I couldn't wait to be inside his head to find out what was going on in there.

Turner is Jubilee's bestie, so they are together a lot. For some reason though, when they run into Castiel, he always seems to be nicer to Jubilee. What's his problem with Turner? If she would only turn around she would see that his eyes are always on her. If they paid attention they'd notice that everyone is taking bets on how long it will take for the tension between them to combust. Those sparks flying between them might feel like dislike, but it's really so much more.

Castiel avoids her until he can't. When she actually needs his help he can't turn his back on her. When life gets real they must decide if they are going to let their past steal their future or if they will bury it where it belongs and take a chance on each other. As usual, there are plenty of laughs along the way and some suspense to make it interesting.

Turner hasn’t had an easy life and although a life altering surgery may have changed her on the outside on the inside she is still the same vulnerable, self conscious person she always way. She is very attracted to Castiel but she has minimal experience with the opposite sex and is nervous about making the first move.

After a disastrous marriage and a bitter divorce Castiel is single and intends to stay that way. He has his job as a police officer and his MC. He is determined to keep his distance from Turner but trying to stop thinking about her is another matter.

When Turner’s life is turned upside down it is Castiel who is there by her side. When he is close to her he wonders why he even tried to keep his distance but are they willing to open up their hearts to love and the possibilities it brings?

I loved these two characters. Turner is so much stronger than she believes and Castiel is her alpha protector. Hot chemistry, humorous banter and an emotional rollercoaster all add up to an amazing story you won’t be able to put down.

Reviewed on http://bookaddict.live,
Wow this has to be my new favorite in the series, but the one I read is always my favorite. This has blown away. Our leading lady Turner and best friend of Jubilee from It Happens. Castiel is a police detective, and much to Turner’s disgust give her a speeding ticket. In this one it’s annoyance at first sight.
Castiel is a big teddy bear when he shows his true colors, when Turner needs his help he is there for as they both realise they have fallen for each other. There always plenty of action in this series and this is no different. As always it comes down to love and family even if your blood or not. I’m not saying anything about the story as I want you to enjoy as much as I did.
Except to say Turner and Castiel were beautiful together, as well as hot and sexy. This was a perfect Lani Lynn Vale read it had it all.

What I have loved about everyone of the books in this series is the author's ability to bring us unique romance that touches your heart every time! Although the series is based around the MC, almost every book is about the main couple with just a hint of MC life.

This one follows that path as well. Castiel has been burned before and he he sees in Turner someone similar to his ex. As the story unfolds, the enemies realize they may be able to click together after all. Loved how Castiel handled everything for Turner after her tragedy. He is just a melty snuggle bear in side and I couldn't get enough of him.

It was great seeing some of our previous couples. Really liked that Turner was so down to earth and realistic about who she was and how she lived her life. Great addition to the series once again! Looking forward to more.
