THE SELANGOR WATERFALL LOVERS ASSOCIATION is an environmental NGO, which members consist of children, students, youths, undergraduates and adults to be involve in our noble, voluntary and sustainable activities of conserving and monitoring our waterfalls. Our objectives is to instill the love towards nature especially the clean, pristine, beautiful and peaceful waterfalls without compromising on the developments. We strive to instill the sense of belonging and awareness to our members and local communities.



 

VISION

In line with our government efforts to instill a sense of belongings, to conserve and preserve our waterfalls to every Malaysians for our future generations.

MISSION

Instill a sense of volunteerism and educating our general public on safety and conservation of our waterfalls in Malaysia with love, passion and sustainability.



OBJECTIVES

To develop a strong sense of ownership for our children and families.

Maintenance works for our waterfall sites would be strictly operated on environmental friendly ways.

Setting up of Eco-Clubs and Eco-Rangers at school level in Malaysia to instill a sense of belonging, involvement, and sustainability of our waterfalls. A sense of passion and love towards our waterfalls and also waterfalls around the world.

Our Corporate Social Responsibility would be to take the initiatives in conservation of our waterfalls and to give education and awareness programs to corporate in line with community developments, social responsibility, nature conservation, and sustainability.

Primary objectives of the association is to have a long term and sustainable strategy in conservation of our waterfalls by educating and awareness to the general public. Our pilot project would be adopting a waterfall with solar energy with basic amenities ie toilets, changing rooms, office, prayers room, food and drink kiosk, rubbish bins, BBQ pits, notice boards, parking bays, access roads and others. All these cost will be borne by our association and sponsorships from corporate and government agencies.

    "Paradise Malaysia - Waterfalls Coffee Table Book" by Pertubuhan Pencinta Air Terjun Selangor (PPATS), an NGO focusing on conservation and preservation of waterfalls in Malaysia. Proceeds from the sales of our Coffee Table Book will be used to raise funds to upgrade our first adopted waterfall at Sg. Liam waterfall, Hulu Yam and to build the first disable friendly waterfall especially for the wheelchair-bound.

    This book is certified by SIRIM for Eco Label using FSC paper and soya bean ink with a total carbon footprint of 29.713.
