HACU National Internship Program accepting applications for fall session

    

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities National Internship Program is accepting applications from college students for the fall 2020 session. The fall internship program dates are Sept. 3 – Dec. 18, 2020. Extended online application deadline is June 19, 2020.

Applications for paid internship positions within the following agencies are being accepted: Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Library of Congress, U.S. Department of Agriculture - Agricultural Research Service; Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service; Food and Nutrition Service; Forest Service; Natural Resources Conservation Service, U.S. Department of Commerce - U.S. Census Bureau, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services - National Institutes of Health - Clinical Center; Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and U.S. Department of Treasury.

College majors in the following areas are in high demand:

  • Agriculture
  • Communication
  • Economics
  • Health Sciences
  • Information Technology
  • Library Science
  • Math
  • Public Administration
  • Social Sciences
  • Statistics

Federal internship sessions are for 15-weeks during the fall program. The location of internships are at federal agencies in Washington, D.C. and field offices nationwide. Federal interns also participate in an orientation prior to the start of their internship.

Program Details:

  • Round-trip airfare to intern location included.
  • Housing arrangement assistance.
  • Intern Weekly stipends: Graduates: $680 Undergraduates: $610 - stipends determined by academic level at the time of application.
  • Professional development, social, and cultural activities.
