What is D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education)?

D.El.Ed is a Diploma course in Elementary Education. It is a 2 year full time diploma course to train teachers for the primary level and can be done with classroom training or distance learning. It is a 4 semester course to prepare students to work in primary/ upper primary schools in different states of the country. The design of the course is such that it includes practical training and internships along with classroom training. It includes principles of child development, education practice, and the role of the teacher in grooming the students.

THE MODALITIES FOR HOLDING PART-II (REGULAR/FACE TO FACE) D. EL. ED. EXAMINATION (THEORETICAL) – 2018-2020

West Bengal Board of Primary Education released notification regarding examination of two year d.el.ed course of session 2018-2020. See the time table and procedure regarding examination below:

• The question papers will be uploaded at 11-50 a.m. sharp on each day in the Log-in of the respective Institutes and also in the following two websites of the Board:
• The students will be able to download the question papers by entering the valid Registration No., Roll & Number.
• If a student/candidate is unable to download the question paper, he/she may contact the concerned D. El. Ed. Institute at 11.50 a.m. for getting the same.
• All the participating D. El. Ed. Institutions are hereby directed to sanitize their institutions and maintain social distancing norms during the days of the examination.
• The candidates after writing their answers in the answer-scripts, will scan the same and upload the scanned copies of the written answer scripts in the aforementioned websites of the Board within 30 (thirty) minutes after completion of the examination of each day i.e. within 3.30 p.m.
• In case of any difficulty, faced by the candidates/students, the respective Heads of the institutions are requested to extend all kinds of assistance/facilities to them (Examinees), so that they can write the examinations, in the institutions and, thereafter, upload their answer scripts in the above noted websites of the Board with the help of the concerned Institutions.
• The same procedure will be followed on all the three days of such examinations.
