Amazon getting into the CTV | OTT ad business Amazon appears to be modeling itself after the market leader Roku. Roku is a media company. Roku makes more from advertising than hardware sales. Watching Amazon Fire now you may notice an ad before your selected program starts promoting the NFL or an Amazon original program like Jack Ryan or Mrs. Maisel but coming soon will be an AD Supported Amazon channel If your content is good enough and If you can get a CTV | OTT channel on Amazon or Roku plan to give up 30% of your ad inventory. That is how you get clearance and it is where the revenue is. Current market share-Roku 32% Amazon 27%. It is easy to see Amazon can quickly catch or even surpass Roku ad revenue. Think about it, Amazon has fantastic consumer data. Amazon knows exactly what and when I purchase. #marketing #business #branding #advertising #commercials
