Weekly Principal Update
November 15th, 2020

Today is the Feast of St. Albert the Great

November 15th, 2020
Dear School Families,

Hybrid Schedule - Week 2 - Completed Successfully
We are into this new schedule for two weeks now, and as I reported to the Site Advisory Council this last week, with two students who were in the building and then tested positive for COVID-19 due to outside exposure, we only had to quarantine one student. This is HUGE. This means our schedule is working and it is keeping our students and teachers healthy and able to attend school. Both of our committees will meet this week to review our current plan. I will have an update for the community by the end of this week.

Lunchroom Help Needed Again!
We are in need of some lunchtime help again for cleaning the tables at the end of each lunch period. Please email Ms. Tilleman in the main office at mtilleman@gracesystem.org if you are able to help us out at any or all of our lunch periods. 11:35 am, 12:05 pm, 12:45 pm.

Fundraising, 20/21 -3rd Source Funding Goals
With our Read a Thon being extended a few weeks, and our Calendar Raffle open through December, we will be sending your family's 3rd Source Funding Report with report cards on December 7th and 8th. This way, you will have a better idea as to which fundraisers you would like to put your efforts into. THANK YOU for all of the families who participated in the Read a Thon! Many of us were able to meet our family goal for the year and are now done with our fundraising!

First Reconciliation - 2nd Graders

If you have a 2nd grader at St. Bernard School, please note that the Signup Genius for First Reconciliation came out last week from our 2nd grade classroom teachers and Mrs. jeannine Hadzima in the parish office. Please be sure to select a date and RSVP for your spot.

School Photo Make-up....
There is now a plan and a date! Please email Amanda Thomas if you wanted a make-up photo but have not communicated yet with Mrs.Thomas athomas@gracesystem.org.

Daily Announcements
Some of our homerooms have begun to take over morning announcements! I will continue to end the school day with a prayer and any reminders for the day to come. Our learning time is at a premium right now and I don't want to take away from those precious classroom minutes in the morning.

SBS COVID-19 Dashboard
This Dashboard will be updated each Friday afternoon and can be accessed on our school website: https://www.saintbernardgb.com/covid-dashboard/

Last update: November 13th, 2020 (this dashboard will begin on Friday, Nov. 4th)
