District 86 administration proposes a job posting for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for the 2021-2022 school year.  A BCBA is a professional that uses applied behavior analysis to support the behavioral and educational needs of students with autism and other disabilities.  Currently, District 86 contracts with an agency for part-time BCBA assistance, which is funded through the IDEA grant.  The need for BCBA assistance has grown with the number of students in our transition program, especially as they require support to participate in competitive and non-competitive workplace positions. This position would be paid for out of the IDEA grant.

Administration reviewed the position description with the HR Committee at their June 1 meeting.
