Good character, good plot and all in all a good read. Alejandro was definitely the star of this book to be honest as I found Laura a little bland with her over the top infatuation with Alejandro from the first moment she saw him. I also found her a trifle weak and I don’t feel satisfied that a certain person who betrayed her was given their just desserts in a more harsher way. Still an enjoyable read.

A hot and sexy story. With an even hotter alpha male. It had everything you wanted. Crazy obbession,drama, action and a hot chemisty. The romance between Alejandro and Solimar was a slow burn story. But once it got their it was full on. They both had a past to get over and live with and thats how they found eachother.

I was pretty excited to read Corrupt because I enjoyed the Beautiful Sinner series, and this one is a spin-off, so I was a bit conflicted on how to rate it because while I loved a lot of the things, I disliked a lot of the other stuff.
What I loved:
- The Hero! Loved, loved Alejandro!
- The Plot
- The guys from the Beautiful Sinner series making an appearance.
- The hot and steamy scenes.
What I didn't love:
- The Heroine
- The insta-love. I'm not against it. However, I didn't feel this one. I just couldn't fully connect to the characters as a couple.
So even though this wasn't my favorite Elena M. Reyes's book, I think the world she has created still has potential, so I hope it becomes a series.

If you haven’t read Sin , Covet , or Mine yet, that’s okay you will still be able to follow along with the story and won’t feel like you’re missing out on anything. Buttt, they are awesome reads so you really should check them out! 😉

Corrupt had a great storyline, characters that I couldn’t get enough of (even though Solimar wasn’t my favorite- I like my heroines a little tougher), after the prologue the pace did slow a bit but it picked up very quickly once Solimar came on the scene.

Solimar Quintero and Alejandro Lucas story is definitely a page-turner, gripping and steamy as hell book.
This mafia romance is like all Elena's books a roller-coaster of action, excitement and brutal emotions.
The power and strength games that the most dangerous people in the criminal world play are brutal, disturbing and frightening.
Corruption, murder, blackmailing, kidnapping are only a part of the cruel mafia world.
The Patrons of the mafia families will not stop for anything to be the most feared ones.
And in all this chaos and destruction Solimar and Alejandro are fighting for their love.
She the daughter of the president and he one of the most powerful mafia bosses.
One would think that it is a catastrophe with no future, but as in all love stories, love finds it's way, or Alejandro pave the earth with corpses to clear the way for his love 🤭
I loved this book. It was exciting, gripping and unbelievable emotional.

Alright then..
I have been waiting so long for this book and was so so grateful when the ARC landed on Sunday morning. I had been praying for an early ARC as to avoid the dreaded Monday blues.
But now that I have devoured it, it's time to talk aboot it.
..
The story start with a rather heart stopping prologue and then we get a glimpse of Elena's mastery as she tells the tale of Alejandro's tragic past. It was amazingly written and had me crying. Fast forward to him growing up and amassing a fortune and then stumbling upon Solimar..the daughter of the man Alejandro has sworn to destroy painfully.
The chemistry between these two was absolutely fantastic there is no denying that. It was too good.
However I didn't get to warm up to Solimar .. She was just meh,okay.
Anyhoo, so goes on Alejandro's quest to destroy those who wronged him and then those who wronged Solimar. I am not gonna lie, I was a tad bit annoyed as I was under the impression that this was gonna be an arranged marriage trope (hence the excitement) but yeah that's not the case.. But the story itself was too good so I guess I can ignore that.. But I was and still am a little miffed since the blurb was rather cryptic and I saw the arranged marriage tags with this book.. So I am a little annoyed..
But hey, Elena is a fantastic author and this story delivered everything. From drama to action to crazy chemistry so I can't whine and complain. It's all good. I enjoyed this as I found myself anticipating book after a long time. I have been in a book slump and simply re-reading oldies for quite sometime now. This story really delivered.

I was so excited to read this story and it did not disappoint! So steamy and romantic. There’s quite a bit of violence, but I found Alejandro be a fair man. A man who doles out harsh justice. Sol has been sheltered and brought up a certain way. Sol finds herself in an arranged engagement. The two of them have a bit of a rough road to their happiness.

Corrupt is a Spin Off in the Beautiful Sinner Series. You can read it as a standalone. This is Alejandro and Solimar's story. I enjoyed it a lot! Elena knows how to create strong possessive alphas. The are coldhearted as a criminals, but the are f... hot as lovers. Solimar is a strong heroine. Young, virgin, inoccent but the attraction that feels for Alejandro is off limits and dangerous. The steamy introduction in their story, let you know how passionate are and the strong chemistry they share. Alejandro is an alpha anti hero, a criminal. A man that doesn't have shaky hands and is impeccable with his enemies. The story is dark, gripping, full of suspense and not for the faint hearted.

I loved Corrupt. The perfect title for this story. Alejandro Lucas has been given a horrible deck of cards in life and he will do anything he can to take back his life. Now he is a drug lord and is doing everything he can to kill the person that messed up his life.
Solimar Quintero is the daughter of the man that took everything from Alejandro Lucas and she just might be the way for him to get his revenge. But little did Alejandro expect was to fall in love with her. These two are a fire that is about to erupt a country by storm. Will they be able to survive it all?

A fabulous, gripping tale from one of my favorite authors.
Corrupt by Elena M Reyes was a dark, gripping, and intense story full of suspense and romance. You might think Alejandro is just another brutal cartel criminal out for his own gains, but when he sees Solimar, it’s like a light is shone upon his world.
These two had amazing chemistry from the outset, but the trials they faced to reach their HEA could have broken them if they weren’t as strong as they turned out to be.
Corrupt by Elena M Reyes was a dark, gripping, and intense story full of suspense and romance. You might think Alejandro is just another brutal cartel criminal out for his own gains, but when he sees Solimar, it’s like a light is shone upon his world.

Hmmm what to say about Corrupt??? Not my favorite of hers ..it was slow and I found myself skimming through it but I did love Alejandro Lucas a lot. He is the quintessential macho..possessive Latin man...Solimar Quintero was a bit on the immature side but I’ll chalk that up to her being just 20 years old but these two characters together were hot..sexy and very romantic. I do love this author and this world of organized crime she creates but Corrupt did fall a bit short for me.

Was not expecting to get an ARC from one of my fave authors but I was surprised and I loved it.
I stumbled upon one of her books and I loved the way she wrote her story’s and than I came across Sin from the beautiful sinners series and I fell In live with it and I was hoping she wrote more books to continue the series because I have read that book more than once so it’s was happy when I saw she continued the series and I have lived every single one of them haven’t read one that disappointed me yet m. So enough of that and let’s continue with the this book.
We get to meet Alejandro Lucas and boy is he one sexy alpha and than his preciosa Solimar gotta love this women every single one I have liked they all have kind of the same thing in common but still different from the other. Alejandro is the boss he does what’s right and helps those that are loyal to him. He has unfinished business with the president of Colombia and he came to collect what wronged him and his family. Those who wronged are gonna pay and those who wronged Solimar are gonna get it twice as bad. I don’t want to get really into the boom or the review because o don’t want to spoil it for everyone because it’s hard to speak of what he went through and what he did without having spoilers for everyone so all I’m going to say is it’s filled with vendettas, corrupt government, non loyal family members and jelouse family member.
So all I have to say is read it when it’s live if you loved the other 2 books than your gonna live this one can’t wait to read more from this awesome author. Oo and before I forget I noticed that he meets with Malcolm Asher from the first book and Elena mentions how malcolms wife made food friends with his wife Mariah when Malcolms wife’s name is London just an error I wanted to point out so your not left like me wondering if you read the wrong name or you missed something along the way.

Those who wronged are gonna pay and those who wronged Solimar are gonna get it twice as bad. I don’t want to get really into the boom or the review because o don’t want to spoil it for everyone because it’s hard to speak of what he went through and what he did without having spoilers for everyone so all I’m going to say is it’s filled with vendettas, corrupt government, non loyal family members and jelouse family member.
So all I have to say is read it when it’s live if you loved the other 2 books than your gonna live this one can’t wait to read more from this awesome author. Oo and before I forget I noticed that he meets with Malcolm Asher from the first book and Elena mentions how malcolms wife made food friends with his wife Mariah when Malcolms wife’s name is London just an error I wanted to point out so your not left like me wondering if you read the wrong name or you missed something along the way.

Elena M Reyes really knows how to give her readers exactly what they are looking for in books. Her heroes never cease to amaze me because of how possessive and consumed they become when they meet their one. When Alejandro meets Solimar, he knows right away he will do anything to keep her safe and make her his. Solimar had been in love with Alejandro for years, and as soon as he approached her, she knew he was her forever. Once you begin reading, it is hard to stop until the end of the book. I can't wait for the next release.

I was given an advance readers copy of this book and have decided to write a voluntary honest review. I think the further I go in the series the more the scenes gets a lot more gory. And the sex is off the charts. Alejandro wow honesty he's really hot, he's pure boss you don't mess with him at all. Solimar is truly innocent she is like flower the girl has no hate in her heart she's all good. To be put through what's she has and still smile that's very rare.

This was an amazing rad and totally worth the wait! Sol and Alejandro's story was dark. It is definitely corrupt and in the end I'm so glad how it worked out. Sol and Alejandro had alot of chemistry and even through they are from the opposite "team" they wok. They really care about each other. I lvoe how he cares for her and it really shows. Great read and it fits in well with the prior books by this author!!

I’ll be honest. I think this is my favorite Elena M. Reyes book yet (and I have read most if not all of her books). I was not sure what to expect since I am still new to dark romance, but I can honestly say I was not disappointed. CORRUPT was soooo fudging good. I was sucked in from the first page and I was so damn sad when it was over. I was so engrossed that I read this book in less than 24 hours. I have been in a book slump for a while and honestly, this pulled me out of it. My go-to books are NOT dark romances, but every time Elena creates a masterpiece I honestly forget.

They know being together is essentially “taboo” but they cannot help it. Their story is filled with lust, love, heartache, betrayal, and a lot of violence. I loved every word of this dark passionate romance between ruthless revenge motivated Alejandro and his enemy's innocent daughter, Solimar. The author's method of introducing Alejandro was a perfect way that highlighted the point where his life changed forever. His subsequent ruthless, violent, and methodical way of eliminating the Quintero family had a perverted sense of justice to it. Finding Solimar as a pawn in her equally ruthless family, it was quite romantic in the way the stoic Alejandro was moved by her at first sight without knowing who she was.
This was one of those books where every word was a treat as the author wove a convincing dramatic world filled with drugs, crime, power and violence. I found myself reading slowly to catch every intense detail as the story unfolded with Solimar taking over Alejandro's focus while he continued his ruthless path to revenge and retribution.
Definitely not for the faint of heart as the gory details were executed as a matter a fact, and were often quite descriptive in a painful way. This is one author who satisfied my desire for the "bad guys" to suffer for their heinous deeds as they certainly got what they deserved.
Within all of this drama, Alejandro's deep obsessive love for Solimar was evident. I liked the way the author created a strong heroine that was victimized but never acted like a simpering victim. She was a strong, sweet, and passionate match for Alejandro.
A keeper to be read again and again.

Alejandro Lucas is a Colombian kingpin, who is a complicated fellow because while he wants revenge for his past, well you'll have to see the other half of him. Solimar Quintero is the obedient daughter of the Colombian president, and of course she's to have an arranged marriage. However, she wants Alejandra badly, and when they do get together, the heat will make you sweat! Obviously this means their love is forbidden, and with the powerful men pulling the strings, it's only a matter of time before the other shoe drops. It makes for serious twists that will have you dropping f-bombs (like I did) since family, lies, betrayal, and revenge rule the day. I'm trying to not get into a ton of detail because I went in blind (though I'm a HUGE fan of Elena M. Reyes) which brought the thunder of shock & awe. So, don't read a ton of reviews, instead hit those one click buttons to experience it for yourselves! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is a new author and series for me and I found the book to be engaging and very entertaining and it held my attention the end. The book is well written with a great plot and story line revolved around a smoking hot and somewhat honorable Colombian crime boss Alejandro Lucas, a sheltered daughter of the president Solimar Quintero, that could really do with a bit of a backbone and independence, family, and the usual crime family drama's like betrayals, corruption.danger, kidnapping, a daring escapes and friendship. The characters are well developed with great personalities and it’s easy to relate to them even though the heroine takes some getting used to, I think the story would have been exceptional if she was stronger.

I love to read a book that pulls no punches with the alpha character. In this case Alejandro. I like to see him taking charge of a situation, giving orders and not shy of dealing with miscreants and traitors himself in a very brutal way. He is definitely a dominant character. Solimar on the other hand is obedient and kind and when she sees Alejandro and he sees her, well! A very well written book and a super storyline with some characters from a previous series. Which because this book is soo good I will have to read. This book, unlike a lot of others does not dwell on sex and it is in the book in exactly the right place relative to the characters. A very enjoyable story which will keep you interested to the end, which in itself is different from other books. I highly recommend this book, read it and you will not be disappointed.

Corrupt is exactly as its title states. It's a story about how one presidential family can corrupt and deceive a nation about an innocent family and force them to go through extraordinary lengths and become an ultimate power to be reckoned with. And to top the icing on the cake is the hot, steamy and very sexy relationship that develops between the first daughter of the president and the now criminal powerhouse of a man fighting back for his family and country. This novel shows just how far people, no matter their status or position, will go to get what they want whether it's power, revenge or love; you name it. This was an awesome read and I am definitely going to have to check out more of Elena M. Reyes work.
