As a teacher who posts things on the wall often, this is the BeST!  Not all masking tapes are created equal.  This has the best hold and doesn't damage the wall upon removal.

Secure hold

Duck always a good brand in tape. Buy it often to secure my property, and hold something together.  Good adhesion. Qualiaty product.

Great brand you can rely on. Lots of colors now

Very good - adheres to paint/wood/metal etc. Use this to anchor thermal drapes at hem above heat register against wall so heat doesn't go up under Drapes as a waste of hot air/Leaves no residue on fabrics. Also used to anchor bubble-wrap against window glass as xtra insulation against the cold/ Great for sealing boxes when rotating winter/summer clothing & bedding

I love this item. You get a tape that adheres well and does not tear up your roduct if you happen to put it in the wrong place. so, I plan on buying it again.

The Best.

It is adhesive and thick enough for smooth surfaces but next time I would buy a heavy stronger adhesive for painting orange peel surface walls. Mostly ok but paint bled under tape in a couple places. It does ok if you really press the ape down.

Good for smooth surface jobs

I meant to order the Duck tape, I was using it to insulate the windows with plastic in our home. When I realized I had ordered this instead, I gave it a shot. It unrolled and could be torn by hand much easier! I didn't need scissors to get it torn. It has held up as good as the Duck tape but I used a lot more of it to be safe. I've also used it to secure boxes I've shipped and as long as you do a few layers, it holds up extremely well.

Not as sturdy as Duct tape, but easy to work with.

THIN!  Very, very thin!  And nearly two-inches wide!  I made the mistake of thinking it was two regular rolls stacked together...nope! 

The sticking power seems fine so far, but not a robust tape.  It rips when trying to remove it from anything, so beware!

The Duck brand General Purpose Masking Tape is TOO STICKY.  Also, it curls when you pull out a strand.  You cannot uncurl it because the tape sticks to itself.  Also, the tape has a strong unpleasant chemical odor.  I returned my unused rolls for a refund.  I won't buy this brand again.  (The only thing I like about this brand is that the Duck logo is cute.)

This doesn't stick at all. I tried taping a pencil with it and it just unwound itself. It's useless.

Avoid this tape. The masking tape has two problems. First, it has a  strong odor that gives me a headache. Second, the tape rips too easily, so it is hard to get a piece of tape with it ripping lengthwise.
