Brisbane has been officially named as the host of the 2032 Olympic Games tonight in a huge sporting coup for the country.
It will be the third time Australia has host the Games after a greater than expected landslide victory. Of 80 voting cards distributed, three members abstained, 72 voted yes and five voted no.
It comes as Tokyo 2020 is set to get underway with the Opening Ceremony on Friday night.
