Hej Hej,

My video spoof on "Negative Nancy" in Nursing handover (disclaimer! - Not all Nancy's are negative of course!) really got a huge response!

Not all was positive.

I noticed a lot of new Nurses being super worried about starting their career and having to meet and deal with a "Negative Nancy" in their workplace.

Something you should know is that "Negative Nancy" exists in EVERY workplace! This is not unique to Nursing.

So getting surprised or annoyed at the fact that you have a "Negative Nancy" in your workplace, is not going to make him/her go away. Their behaviour is 100% a reflection of themselves or their own situation but how you react to him/her is 100% up to you.

You see, you can't change the fact that "Negative Nancy" is there, but you can change your disposition towards him/her.

Instead of letting yourself get sucked in to their negativity. Shower them with positivity and call them out on when they are being just ridiculously unreasonable.

The way you think (positive) will change the people around you!

There's no need for anyone to rain on your parade or burst your balloon. YOU decide your mood and frame of mind, no one else.

Since "Negative Nancy" got so much traction (because let's face it, she's funny to watch, just not funny to work with!) I've made another spoof video.
