A MAN'S body has been found in remote woodland as forensic teams and detectives are probing the mystery death.

The tragic discovery of the man, 50, was made at 7pm on Thursday night at Glazert Water near to Station Road, Lennoxtown.

A number of officers including detectives and forensic teams were still at the scene this morning investigating the mysterious death.

The nature of the sudden death remains unknown.

Enquiries into the tragic passing are ongoing.

A report into the death will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Emergency services were called to Glazert Water, near to the Station Road area of Lennoxtown around 7pm on Thursday, 7 May, following the sudden death of a 50-year-old man.

“Enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the death, which is currently being treated as unexplained, are ongoing.

“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
