India's vaccination drive against Covid-19 will be launched at around 3,000 sites on January 16 and the number of sites will be ramped up to 5,000 by the end of the month.
On an average around 100 recipients will be given the shot on the first day though the number may vary across states depending on the enrolment of healthcare workers and time taken to administer shots.
