What the actually fck is this book. WTF 🤮🤮🤮 The hero founds out the heroine pregnant after months later and actually two days before she gave birth. Didn’t see her and their daughter for six months again and then decided to collect them because there’s a war. THE HERO STILL WANTS TO BE WITH THE OTHER WOMAN BUT AT THE SAME TIME WANTS THE HEROINE AND GETS MAD IF THE HEROINE GET CLOSE TO ANYONE ELSE. BUT HE CONTINUE TO HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH THE OTHER WOMAN AND EVEN TOUCH HER AND DO ALL THE CRAZY THINGS AND WANTS THE OTHER WOMAN STILL THINKING SHE WOULD BE A GREAT WIFE TO HIM. LIKE WHAT THE ACTUALLY FCK IS GOING ON??? THE HERO IS STUPID OR SOMETHING???? WHEN I READ THE HERO OTHER WOMAN SAY BAD THINGS TO THE HEROINE AND HERO’S DAUGHTER, AND THE HERO STILL FORGIVE THAT SKANK AND EVEN TOUCH HER FACE SO GENTLY AND QUIETLY SAYING HE STILL WANTS THE OTHER WOMAN, I QUIT AND DELETED THE BOOK IMMEDIATELY.

AND WHILE THEY WERE SEPARATED, THE HEROINE CAN’T BE WITH ANYONE ELSE WHILE THE HERO IS WITH THE OTHER WOMAN. AND HE ALWAYS THINKS THATS OKAY TO DO SO. WTF.

YES HE HAVE S*X WITH THAT OTHER WOMAN WHILE THEY WERE SEPARATED. WHILE THE HEROINE IS PREGNANT WITH THE HERO’S CHILD. WTF

HE ALWAYS LIES TO THE HEROINE. HE TELLS HER HE NEVER TOUCH THAT OTHER WOMAN ROMANTICALLY IN MONTHS WHILE FEW DAYS BEFORE HE SAID THIS, HE TOUCH HER ROMANTICALLY!!!!!! LIAR BSTARD HERO!!!!!

The heroine is okay with everything with the hero is doing bad and fcked wrong things to her and to their lives…. I CAN’T STAND BOOK LIKE THIS. FCK.

BAD BOOK.

BAD HERO. BAD STORY.

🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

The whole story is bad seriously bad…. Fcked up

👉🏽👉🏽👉🏽Thank you so much for reading my review❤️❤️ For you who loves my review and follow it, THANK YOU SO MUCH. I did not get paid or be told to do a review on a book. I’m here just to write review about a book so i can remember it. Its my honest opinion😚 I didn’t know at first people will find me and follow me and trust me to be honest, I was surprised myself to look at the notifications from people who reach out to me😆 So everything i write down here on a review is based on my personal opinion and based on my true writing. I DID NOT COPY SOMEONE’S REVIEW OR WRITING SKILL because at first when i was using this app for one year i didn’t know how to scroll down on a book and see the reviews from others😂😅🤣 I know, silly me but hey I finally learned my lesson 😛😛😛 Thats why when people assume i copy someone’s review i was like what? Because at first i didn’t know how to use this app properly and i didn’t know how to open someone’s review because for a year i never follow someone or add friends or someone😂😂😂🤣 (I’m laughing so hard) 🤪 AND I NEVER COPY SOMEONE’S REVIEW EVER. IF I WRITE SOMETHING WRONG OR DOESN’T MAKE SENSE PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND BE NICE OKAY. 👈🏽👈🏽👈🏽✋🏽✋🏽

I have a disclaimer down bellow if you have negative thoughts about my review😙😙😙

🌐🌐➡️↘️⬇️➡️This is my own personal thoughts and opinion about the book so if thats not sit right with you or you feel I’m not being fair blablabla, please know that everybody in this world have their own different things that they like and don’t like. It may not be the same thing with you but thats okay because i am my own person and you cannot control me or tell me what to do. For example; i put ketchup (tomato sauce) on my fried chicken. You think that’s disgusting? For me its not and i’ve been eating it like that for many many years. You tell me to put another sauce and see if i like that better? I already did many many times in years but i still like the way i like it. It’s called differences between me and you and billions people in this world😊 be open minded😙 I respect people’s opinions about my opinions but in the end of the day if i say I don’t like it or i do like it, its up to me and its on me. And in the end of the day i always liked and show my respect to books and people’s opinions on books whenever that book is good or not good in my opinion 😊 Respect people’s opinions guys😙😙 I don’t want to write this down because its not really my thing to do it. To like address something like this when obviously i know the people who’s been reading my reviews many times and all the time, they are smart enough to understand and respect other people’s opinions no matter what their opinions on book or their point of view 😙😙 am i right? 💕 also there are people even though i already write “this book is different because i have my own taste of book” those people still comment my taste is this and that when HELLO… everybody have their own thoughts on books and what they want to read… why i read it then? I read it and give it a review because i have to read a book to give it a review… why not read the description book to understand before I’m going to read it? Hello just in case you haven’t notice, description books can be tricky because they write this amazing things about a book but turns out the story is so toxic. Maybe for me its toxic but not for you? YES HELLO THATS WHY US HUMAN BEING HAVE OUR DIFFERENCES, WHAT I LIKE IT DOESN’T MEAN YOU WILL LIKE IT AND EITHER WAY TOO. why i still write the review then if i just don’t like a book? Because I CAN and i want to, you cannot tell me what to do and not what to do🤪 if you still wants to be negative and be karens about my review on book after all of what i just write, i will never acknowledge you and simply ignore you because its not that hard🙏 I won’t respond to negativity comments🙏🏼🙏🏼 DON’T ASK ME AGAIN ABOUT WHY NOT RESPONDING TO YOUR NEGATIVE COMMENTS BECAUSE I ALREADY SAY IT HERE AND I WON’T BE EXPLAINING AGAIN BECAUSE WE’RE NOT CHILDREN SO ITS NOT HARD FOR YOU AN ADULT TO UNDERSTAND😌😌 YES MY REVIEW IS LONG BUT YOU READ IT ANYWAY AND ITS FINE ACTUALLY I CAN WRITE AS LONG AS I LIKE😎 YES MY GRAMMAR IS BAD SOMETIMES AND MAYBE ALL THE TIME BUT LUCKILY MANY PEOPLE CAN UNDERSTAND WHAT I’M SAYING🤪 ⬅️↖️↕️⬅️↩️⤴️

Duets always worry me. Sometimes, I feel like the story would have been better as one long book, and splitting it just made both installments seem lackluster. Other times, the first book isn't what I anticipated, but I read the second one anyway in hopes it turns everything around only to be let down in the end. Then other times, I fall in love with the first book, but I'm completely disappointed by the next. Thankfully, none of those scenarios were the case with this duet!

As much as I adored Chained Hands, I loved Locked Hearts even more! I devoured both in one sitting. I simply could not get enough of Sailor and Keir! Sailor may have been given to Keir to pay off a debt, but by the end, she owned him body and soul.

I absolutely love the transition Sailor made from that meek, naive young woman we first met to the fiesty little badass she is now. Watching her put Keir and everyone else in their place with her sassy ass mouth was fucking EVERYTHING!! It's easy to see why Keir fell in love with her. Hell, she had me questioning my sexuality before it was all over with!

Keir has been a bad motherfucker from day one. He's alpha af, possessive, protective, strong, and sexy as sin, and while that may make your panties wet, seeing the way he is with Wren and Sailor will melt your fucking heart. Keir was bred to be a cold hearted, ruthless, mafia king, and while he won't be relinquishing that title anytime soon, he's become so much more since Sailor entered his life.

The chemistry between Keir and Sailor was palpable from day 1, and it just continued to grow more intense as time went on. Those two couldn't deny their feelings for one another no matter how hard they tried and try they did! Between their banter, physical attraction, and the bond created by Wren, the sex between them was hot from the jump, and their emotional connection made me feel their love even before they acknowledged it themselves.

Bottom line, T. L. Smith has a new fan in me! Sailor and Keir's story gave me everything I wanted, and I had a great time reading it. I can't wait to dive into more of her work, and you can bet I'll be reading the next installment in this series! Lucas is getting his own book, and I can't wait for more of his crazy ass! 😂

Mafia romance fans, this one's for you!

📚'LOCKED HEARTS' 📚Is the conclusion in T.L. Smith's 'Chained Hearts' duet. It picks up where the previous book left off. Spoken in 'Dual Perspectives.'

After the way things left off in the previous book (cliffy) this made my anticipation levels hype up for this book, as soon as it landed on my kindle, game over, life on hold..

God these two did my head in, the never ending backwards and forwards like a game of tennis!! Who was going to come away victorious and unscathed with their heart intact. The angst kept brewing away in the background, with her running, and him stalking, her pushing him away, and him salivating at the challenge.

Sailor and Keir were made for each other, perfectly imperfect but perfect together, even though their road started off bumpy I loved how this turned out.

More body counts
More angst and grit
More feels...

Locked Hearts is the conclusion in the very tumultuous and complicated love story of Sailor and Keir. All bets were off in this story and if you thought Keir was jail worthy in the first book, you’re in for one heck of a bail money check for this one.

Picking up right where Chained Hands left off, Sailor’s life has changed all for the better. With a new purpose and responsibility, she’s determined to forget about Keir and move on with her life as best as she can. But that’s easier said than done because with a man like that, there’s no forgetting. EVER.

tumblr_inline_nk1awnBoge1to7kar.gif

It’s been months since Sailor walked away from Keir but for him it feels like yesterday. Knowing it was for the best so he can have a clear head and fulfill his other responsibilities, Keir is still not a happy man. But what happens when he decides to risk it all for her? Will his empire crumble or will the King finally get his true Queen?

If I had to sum up this duet in a few words it would be something like this: A sexy forbidden trainwreck that will make you wish these characters were real. Part of you will want to knock some sense into them and the other half will want to be in a front row seat of all the high action drama.

If you’re looking for a quick sexy duet with some dark themes, then this one is for you.

I was not so patiently waiting to get my hands on this but wow I’m so disappointed. The first book was fantastic - we had a heroine with an actual back bone. This time.. everything fell apart. The story felt rushed and was a complete 180 from the first one.. honestly nothing worked for me. Where was her back bone?! That’s what I loved most about Chained Hands. Not what I was expecting at all and really bummed about it. 2.5 stars

***4 "Mine Forever!!!" stars***

OUT NOW!!!

"I was doomed from the beginning.
Condemned. Cursed. Fated."

The conclusion on Keir and Sailor's story was full of suspense, betrayal and secrets...
Not a dull moment with these two I'm telling you, especially with their constant banter...
Their back and forth were giving us delicious whiplashes, but I overenjoyed the craziness of this couple!!!
They may have started with the worng foot, but they had created something unique and magical that is only for them... But the things that are keeping them apart are too many to be ignored.

'"It's only going to end one way... in heartbreak. You know this," he states.
"Is there any other way?" I smirk.'

In the end of the first book, we saw Sailor to run away from Keir while having something his with her...
Months later and while Sailor is kind of relaxed back in her hometown, Keir is coming back and he is determined to have her back no matter what...
The truth is that are standing too many obstacles in their way to be together and Sailor is determined to ignore her feelings and show Keir the door... They are doomed after all!!!

"You aren't mine to keep..."

Keir is not a man that take no as an answer, especially when he wants something as badly as he wants Sailor.
She was never supposed to get under his skin and take residence in there...
She had to kill her when he had the chance, but he let her become a part of him and that's the biggest mistake cause he is bound with a contract to marry another woman...
So what will he do when his hands are bound tight behind his back???

"If only it were as easy as telling her she will be mine forever."

I loved this couple!!! I loved their connection!!!
Yep, their beginning was crazy and absurb, but from nothing they created something amazing together... But Keir's life is a dangerous one and it is chained by too many unwritten laws, laws that Sailor is unable to follow...
So, even though she wants him, she doesn't stop running away from him... But he is an insisted bastard and he is determined to not stop chasing her down...
But where that will lead them???

"You may think you can run away again, but believe me... I will find you. I will always find you."

Keir and Sailor were amazing together, full of passion and agressive love...
They were perfectly imperfect and even though totally opposite characters, they were so combatitive together!!!
Keir in here became another human being and I loved this change on him...
And Sailor was even more fierce and strong willed than before...
These two belonged to each other... Their story was a complicated one, but one that I enjoyed very much!!!
I'm kind of sad that their journey had reached to an ending, but I would love to see more stories on this crazy world!!!

"I'm glad I kidnapped your ass..."

Arghhhhh OW drama is the worst especially when there is no OM drama to match 😭 also he literally had them both in the house at one point and she just accepted it, how embarrassing and for what ?! I’m so mad at myself for not being able to stop at the first book 🙄

The conclusion to this duet kept me glued to the pages from beginning to end.

She ran...but it was only a matter of time before he came to claim what is his.

Sailor and Keir share irresistible chemistry, but the fact that he is a ruthless killer is holding her back. You can't tell your heart who to love and even is you could, Sailor's hear isn't listening.

Keir knows what he wants and he won't stop until Sailor agrees to be his. However, it's not easy convincing a woman you love to love you back even though you can't marry her. Some archaic tradition and a contract to uphold that ensures a pure line of the criminal minds continues, is what stands in their way. Keir has never been about rules or following them. Rules are meant to be broken.

A riveting mafia romance with intense heat and action. Bodies will fall and twists abound. It's going to get messy, but love will conquer.

What a delicious, engrossing, and intense conclusion to Sailor and Keir’s steamy, erotic, and taboo romance. The Chained Hearts duet has been quite a wild and yummy ride- TL Smith at her finest, with her dark sensuality and gritty edge.

After the epic cliffy at the end of Chained Hands, I was desperate to find out just how this story would end. From their more than unconventional beginnings to the very last page, Sailor and Keir are passionate and consuming.

Sailor has escaped Keir….but not for long. Keir is a demanding and dangerous man, and soon he storms back into her world to reclaim the woman that is his. But Sailor has evolved in her time- she’s no longer the doormat Keir once captured, she’s strong, self-assured, and resistant- but it’s too late now, for them both. They have a grasp on the other that neither can escape- and it gets volatile and steamy. And turns out more than their complicated beginning may be a barrier to their fragile happiness.

The story is fast-paced and the romance dramatic and messy. We have this angsty, complicated situation between them laced with all the mafia world intrigue- so buckle up for drama and tension. Excited for more from this world, and happy to see Sailor and Keir find their way.

I love a woman with resistance. It’s a personality thing that I don’t usually find in most of the mafia books I read before. But Sailor is the definition of resistance. She made Keir wait and wait and wait till he can’t anymore. Man, even I couldn’t wait anymore. Like come on Keir has skills that has to be shown. I read this book like a starved person on an empty island. T.l. Smith writes the best mafia books. Actually my first read in the mafia world was a T.L. Smith book and I just fell in love with her books.

Sailor, as previously known in Chained Hands, she was kidnapped by a mafia boss. A one that doesn’t take no for an answer. Obviously. He was supposed to kill her because that’s who he is but instead he chose to keep her. Sailor is a smart woman. She doesn’t like this mafia world thing and wants a normal life and because Keir grew fond of her he decided to break her chains and let her be. Now she is pregnant with his child and guess what he’s not the type to leave when visiting hours end.

This book really got me in all the right places. And Keir is WOW. You have to read to know what I’m talking about😉.

Now I can’t wait for Lucas’s story. I think he’s gonna be my favorite. No offense Keir you still have skills that I’m fond of. This is not a standalone it’s a duet so you should read Chained Hands before reading Locked Hearts.

Just spectacular!

Sailor and Keir are simply fire. An unexpected match, their story weaves a bit of suspense, a bit of angst, and juicy spice in this mafia romance. Keir, ever the strong capo with swagger still ruthlessly rules his world but is hopelessly smitten with the confident, spunky Sailor. I loved Keir's warm indulgence juxtaposed with his mafia bad boy, even violent image. No one came between him and his lady, no other man and definitely not an obligatory, contractual fiancée. (Oh what drama another woman provoked and how pleasingly it played out.) And unlike others, Sailor could say what she wanted to Keir without recourse, but she equally couldn't deny his appeal and her attraction to him. A miraculous baby makes three. How cute was Keir singing to his baby.

Great pace, great character development, and some great tongue in cheek humor, this book was hugely entertaining. I'm excited that there will be more stories in this world and thoroughly enjoyed Sailor and Keir's love story.

Book 2 in Chained Hearts Duet- 3.5 ⭐️ (Enemies to lovers, mafia boss vs unwilling feisty captive, f/m, monogamy, vanilla, quality of spice 3/5, quantity of spice 3/5)

I’m still feeling, “Meh” about this series… not the best and not the worst. The duet was focused more around her trying to resist him and struggle with her feelings of attraction to a bad man and less about romance and spice. There was definitely not enough romance and spice for me, but I still found myself somewhat interested in the characters and how their story would play out. It’s a quick easy read if you’re looking for an MMC (Kier) who is a tough mafia killer that won’t take no for an answer and a belligerent sassy FMC (Sailor) who can’t make up her mind. At least these books are short!

***potential spoiler***

The question I posed in my review of the first book was basically: did the author do this common trope any justice? The trope of “mafia killer kidnapping the feisty beautiful woman for payment of debit with the intention of using her and then killing her but then falling in love and keeping her” has been done so many times over in the romance genre, but was this rendition superior or more unique? The answer to that is still, “meh”. It did start to take a unique turn when she got pregnant with his baby and he seemed to have an entire personality overhaul and they began bonding over their daughter and what a good father the big bad scary mafia killer turned out to be with his little baby; however, this was overshadowed by the fact that the majority of this book was spent dealing with his arranged marriage/ crazy baby momma-to-be drama which kept preventing the FMC from wanting to be romantically involved with him, which translated to VERY LITTLE SPICE!

A few more complaints:
1. The “Variety Gossip” blurbs randomly placed, in both books, offers absolutely nothing to the story. It’s clearly supposed to be an online gossip site or tabloid, but the author offers no explanation or context for these random entries nor do they add any relevant or important information to the story. There is no point to them whatsoever. It leaves the reader wondering “what the heck is the point of these and how are the relevant to the progression of the plot?”. Also, these blurbs are titled “King of the Underworld”, so this “gossip blurb” is reporting the daily movements and love life of the mafia? (The characters are not famous for anything, other than being a mafia apparently) In what world would a tabloid report on the mafia? The whole concept is just silly and out of place.

2. In the first book, it was the MMC repeatedly telling us he has “killed people for less” and now…Ugh, in this book, I swear if I had a quarter for every time he repeated the same crap about how he should have just shot the FMC like he was supposed to, I’d have enough money for a trip to Cuba. I wonder if she made this specific character extremely repetitive as a trait or if she if she is oblivious that her writing is repetitive. Annoying either way.

Unfortunately, I find myself a sucker for getting attached to/interested in characters easily, so I’m going to read the next duet in this series featuring Lucas (Keir’s cousin) and Chanel and hope it’s a little more spicy and less mediocre.

I knew this one would be mediocre compared to the first one, basically from page one. The way that everything was so rushed, ruined it. Some chapters started, and then by the end up the chapter it was months ahead, and went on it’s merry little way.
The plot was just, meh. There was no actual climax, everything just kind of stayed the same. The only reason i honestly continued reading was to compare how Keir changed emotionally from the first book.
**Spoiler**, the one thing i loved? the fucking wedding scene. IN A BOOK STORE? Yes please. And how Kier calls Sailor his little bookworm? Also please.

This duet is one that I anticipated so much especially after reading the first one. I was just as intrigued with Keir and Sailor, and their story as I did in the first book. I couldn't finish reading this book fast enough. I was actually about to finish it in one sitting but I stopped reading so that I could savour these two for a little longer.

Things escalated even more in this one. There are a lot of twists and turns that I didn't anticipate. But more so, how much Keir changes to be better for both Sailor and their new daughter, Wren. Seeing how he is with Wren was so heartwarming and sweet. It was unexpected of him. But Sailor wants nothing to do with him and make co-parent work with him. It was such a battle with these two. There are so many challenges they needed to go through and it was just amazing to read.

This story picks up right where Chained Hearts ends. So, without giving away the big plot twist in the first book, it's hard to really talk about this book without giving anything away and spoiling it all. So I will say this, this book was BANANAS! I mean, I thought the previous book was messed up, Keir on a mission with love mixed in is a whole other ball game of delicious insanity.

I mean, what do you expect when a Mafia boss falls in love with some random chick. Especially when theirs a contract upheld for generations that their spouses are chosen for them upon birth. Keir is supposed to marry someone's mafia linked daughter. It's been ingrained into them that this will happen. He will marry her and she will produce him an heir. However, when Keir goes and takes Sailor and ends up developing feelings for her, his entire view on his lifestyle is questioned. I mean, first of all, for someone who is so quick to shoot anyone, he'd even shoot his brother without thinking twice about it, all because he looked at him funny... the fact that he develops feelings at all is just mind boggling. It's one thing to have a mistress on the side and still keep true to the expectations, but when he completely deviates from it, well, let's just say that things do not go smoothly.

I really liked that we got to see a softer side of Keir in this book. You see him start to change little by litter when it comes to Sailor. He's more quiet with her. He's gentler. Now, that's not saying he's still not scary, because he is, but you see that there's just something about Sailor that makes him change and become more family oriented. I really liked seeing that subtle shift in him.

I really wish I could go into so much more on this book but I do not want to ruin it for anyone who decides to read it. When I finished the first book with the bombshell dropped in my lap, I had a huge grin on my face because I knew it had just gotten a whole lot more interesting and I immediately bought the next book. So, if you are up for a dark mafia romance, get these two books. You will not be disappointed.

Wow! What a conclusion to this whirlwind of a duet. Continuing straight on from that cliffy, we are instantly back in the action with Sailor and Keir. The author does a great job of naturally inserting reminders without regurgitating the whole first book with unnecessary recapping.

I completely fell for this couple in the first book and this one had my heart racing with their push and pull and agonising will they won’t they…
Keir is literally stuck between what he wants but can’t have and what he has to have but doesn’t want and the turmoil it causes him doesn’t go unnoticed.
Sailor is such a strong woman, and her life has changed dramatically since the first book, but even she can’t fight the pain and aching jealousy she feels as the true extent and damage of the ‘family contracts’ start to take hold.

This book keeps you guessing and there are some wonderfully tender moments as we get to meet the Keir beneath the title, these are fleeting and there to treasure as there aren’t many!! The touches of humour and Joey’s huffy tantrums had me chuckling, but it’s the women behind the men that make the backbone of this story and it was an absolute joy to read.

Thank you TL Smith for yet another angsty, dark, delicious tale of mafia men and the women who control them😃

This was a amazing conclusion to this duet ! Keir and Sailors story is full of suspense betrayal secrets lies and steam . It immediately sucked me back in , their push and pull the angst the chemistry between these two is so intense the romance is full of drama and messy but super hot ! Keir is absolutely obsessed with Sailor I loved the character growth with these two we seen both of them grow so much but Keir’s was impressive . Sailor she definitely held her own I loved the banter between these two Sailor definitely didn’t take no shit she’s strong and fierce as is needed in the mafia world. This is probably my favorite duet from this author I’m sad it’s over but so happy with the way it ended ! Definitely five star worthy and I highly recommend!

I need a medal for finishing this. I’m sorry but this couple will be in a loveless marriage after 1 year and only stay together for the kids. MC was so annoying, I hated him sooo much and Sailor (FMC) I loved her in the first book but this one she was annoying- the whole book was just rushed. I don’t even think they love eachother just love the sex 🤷🏼‍♀️

This picks up where book one leaves off and Sailor and Kier are still not completely open with each other but the connection is still so strong even though Sailor tries to fight it Kier doesn’t make it easy but the problem is his circumstances haven’t really changed which is a massive issue, especially now

Go in blind to enjoy Keir and Sailor.

I read this in one sitting and so worth it.

Book 2 started off where book 1 ended and let me say what a ride it’s been for Keir and Sailor and that cliffhanger omg I nearly dropped my phone at the “surprise”.

You have to love and hate them both at the same time omg one minute you’re all excited and then you’re wondering w@t@everlovingf@ck is wrong with them.

So, I just couldn’t not finish this series I wanted to know more. The characters, the crazy arranged marriage his mum her parents, his brother and his men oh and the ending brings to light the betrayal, the lies, the loyalty and family.
