EHAM - Schiphol Amsterdam 1.0

Excellent scenery, gives new life to Aerosoft's EHAM.

I had the same problem as others with no buildings, just grass. Solution: install ALES developer library. It's additional to the ALES library and fortunately free.

Finaly an update on the Aerosoft Eham.

Eham looks great again and bit more current then the Aerosoft version.

First of all it deserves a 5 start rating. I live in the Netherlands and I can tell you this upgraded version of Schiphol really looks good. However, it can be quite heavy on your pc. I seem to have some micro stutters sometimes at the airport. Now I have heard many people say removing the 3D-grass might work. I removed all the 3D-grass and the fps went back to normal, no more micro stutters for me.

So for those experiencing stutters or fps issues, try removing the 3D-grass. If you don't know how to do it, Let me know and I'll be glad to help you.

Pimp my EHAM. I had a few extra rewards points in the store so I picked up the base EHAM. I already had ALES which is a must have addon. Then this update is just like everyone else says... the icing on the Dutch cake.

And prompting a complete Low Country ortho upgrade tonight.

Holy cow.  I have been in dire need of an update to the Aerosoft Schiphol.  Many thanks.  It looks beautiful.

Thanks for making this! Wife and I just returned from a Viking Cruse. We flew from KSFO (San Francisco) To Schiphol (Amsterdam ) none stop and again from Schiphol to KSFO none stop. Both flights were on KLM which turns out to be the Oldest Airline in Operation. They were fantastic! 

EHAM is one of the largest airports in the world and until now now one in the Org seemed interested in making the scenery.  I just recently got into XP 11 but I still love flying in XP 10.5+ as I have a way to go in learning XP 11.  I'm going to see if I can make EHAM work in XP 10.

Great scenery, but how would removing the 3D grass in WED work?

Airport is good but some things can be optimized. Installation instructions also are a bit unclear. Any way to remove the grass? Its a hit on FPS, and I'm having a hard time doing it myself in WED.

Looks incredible as does everything you put out!  Aerosoft has a other sale after finding this!

Took me some time to get it work correctly, but the result is simply stunning. Make sure that the required libraries (OpenSceneryX, R2, RE etc.) have the correct map names under the Custom Scenery folder. For example: MisterX_Library instead of MisterX6_Library, etc.  X-Plane11's log.txt file is a very useful tool to solve errors related to the loading of sceneries.

Night lightning is fabulous, animated cranes with lights and many more objects just make taxiing around the airport very nice, so much that it's hard to leave this airport.

I think it's beautiful, finally working gates and docking guidance. When approaching on 18R I got 14 fps, so it is still too heavy on frame rates. Maybe I can delete the 3D-grass? (Strangely, at the eastern side (B-, C- and D-pier) fps is better.

Got the install issue fixed.  Looks awesome!!

If I can get this working I'll be very pleased - but after too many hours I'm struggling.  No buildings and x-organiser (paid version) is warning me about libraries, see images.  I now have FAIB installed.

Great scenery, a must-have if you own the Aerosoft EHAM. But it needs more optimization, it hits very hard on frame rates.

I cant get it to work.... just grass and thats it. Looks stunning in the picture and thats why i give you 5 stars, i would really appreciate if you helped me solving the problem.

Took me a good hour to finally figure out how to install this.
A properly referenced ALES library could've saved a lot of time and nerves to your users @Captnchris

So, in a few simple steps.

1. Payware ALES library ("ALES LIB" folder with 5 subfolders and "library.txt" file) goes into this scenery

2. Freeware ALES Developer Library ("ALES_DEV_LIB" folder with 5 subfolders and "library.txt" file) goes into your main "Custom Scenery" folder

I rarely review freewares (especially out of respect for the work of the author) but I had to write this. @Captnchris don't get this personally, the result is aesthetically one of the best looking airports in X-Plane. However, the scenery is probably the worst offender in terms of performance I've ever seen. I do not have the most powerful rig out there but this scenery is literally unplayable. If the default Aerosoft was an unoptimized piece of dirt, this addon surely vastly improved it but at the same time brings my pc to a slow, incredibly hot death. Brings my baseline 50 fps under 20 with constant spikes. Don't know the machine on which this scenery was designed, but really this is the heaviest scenery I've ever encountered. A bit of a performance hit must be taken into account (all in all Amsterdam is a big airport), but this is completely out of the ordinary. Wish I could run it but it's awfully unoptimized. Immediately unistalled. I will not comment on the mandatory use of ALES (I already bought it in the past, so I was all set), but using such a payware product when other equally great options exists leaves me with a bitter aftertaste. Still fine with it though, your choice.

Wish this scenery was even remotely playable because it's really one of the best I've seen around.

Very good scenery, with only a few small Issues. (mentioned them in the Comments section)
I only give 3 Stars because the payware of ALES is also needet for this, and it has a big hit on FPS!
Hope to see an update with the improvemnts and added SAM in the future.

Great fix for EHAM, but performance is terrible and totally not acceptable...

I used the non-static version, as WT3 fills the parking sports 😁

I did remove the 3D grass though, as this hit my FPS quite hard. But, so thrilled to have an up-to-date EHAM!

Gets five stars based on preview pics.  CANNOT GET ANYTHING MORE THAN GRASS AND STATIC AIRCRAFT.

I have installed three times and believe I am doing it correctly.  Airport is loading with other airports in .ini.  I use x-organizer.
