A senior Steelers writer is confirming that T.J. Watt did in fact have his exit interview after the Steelers season ended, contrary to a previous report that he skipped out on them.

According to The Athletic’s Mark Kaboly tells the PM Team, that he went through the proper exit interview and it was done in person, not virtually.

“Everything I was told was he was there, he went through it, he met with trainers, he met with whoever he needed to meet with, I have no idea what was said . . . I don’t think it’s that big of a deal even if he did flip them the bird and walk out,” said Kaboly. “T.J. is a very emotional player but what I’ve learned about T.J. is he’s an emotional player right after a loss, right after a win, the next day, he’s back to normal I’m guessing most players are like that but I can’t see like three or four days later him being still emotional about anything.”

Steelers writer Ray Fittipaldo of the Post-Gazette also confirmed on the Fan Morning Show Wednesday that Watt did the necessary exit interviews and that they were done in person.

Guest host Arthur Moats says that exit interviews are not really a big deal and are quick.
