LA PINE, Ore. - A man faces accusations he drove an acquaintance into the woods during an argument and then pepper-sprayed and punched the man before throwing the victim's prosthetic leg into the woods.

The attacker then poured gasoline on the victim - and threatened to set him on fire using a cigarette lighter.

That's what the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office alleges happened between 34-year-old Troy Kenneth Dahl and another man May 5 in a remote forested area near La Pine.

Deputies responded at 8 p.m. after a 911 call reporting an assault.

The investigation found "Dahl and the victim are acquaintances and has been in an on-going argument," the sheriff's office said.

According to the sheriff's office:

The two men continued to argue while driving in Dahl’s Chevrolet Tahoe. Dahl drove the truck into a nearby wooded area where he began assaulting the victim with pepper spray and punches before removing the victim’s prosthetic leg and throwing it into the nearby woods. Dahl then poured gasoline on the victim and threatened to light him on fire using a cigarette lighter. Dahl did not light the victim on fire
However, Dahl put the victim and his prosthesis in the trunk area of his SUV and drove victim to his relative’s house where Dahl dumped the victim in the middle of Cassidy Drive. Dahl rang the victim’s relative’s doorbell and fled the area. The victim’s relative called 911 after finding the victim in the roadway.

The victim sought medical treatment, the sheriff's office said.

Deputies searched the area and located Dahl's Chevy. Investigators obtained a search warrant and seized evidence from the vehicle.

Dahl surrendered to deputies the next day and was arrested for investigation of Assault II, Menacing, Driving While Suspended, Coercion and Unlawful Use of Stun Gun / Pepper Spray.
