Form description
As the pandemic swept through the United States, many businesses after years being in their local communities had to close their doors. Some managed to stay open but had to release staff members who have been with their establishments for years, some were forced to create additional means of income for themselves by picking up jobs as food delivery persons while some couldn’t venture out and had to stay inside.
With lives rapidly changing, we’ve seen businesses, individuals, and organizations, although unsure of their future, pour out their hearts, minds, and souls to their communities to help in these times of need. This World Food Day, the Office of Institutional Advancement and Communications wants to celebrate those who have risked a lot to provide meals across Harlem and New York City. The entire CCNY college community is invited to submit a story and photo (s)/videos for "Who is your food hero" to share with us all.
We look forward to learning about your food heroes and to considering all submissions we receive for re-sharing on CCNY social media, website, or other digital platforms connected with CCNY.
Thank you!
