Would Emma make the perfect mum?

Best of both worlds

I would love model Chrissy Teigen and singer-songwriter John Legend to be my parents. That would be the best of both worlds. Imagine: with her looks and his voice, I’d be unstoppable!

Ady Lam, 12, Island School

Swift and sure

I wish Taylor Swift was my mum. I’m a huge Swiftie, and she has sung so many great songs about love and revenge. I could get advice on how to deal with heartbreak and then make sassy comebacks. I would also be able to learn how to play the guitar and piano, as she plays them, too. Life would be pretty cool if Taylor was my mum.

Charlotte Choi, 12, Sha Tin College

A real gem

I want singer GEM, who is my idol, to be my mother. She is kind and a really good singer, and hopefully I would have inherited her talent. She is also really beautiful, so maybe I’d have her good looks, too!

Hanna Chan, 14, Fung Kai Liu Man Shek Tong Secondary School

Devoted dad

It has to be actor and singer Deng Chao. He is funny and full of optimism. He would treat you like a friend, not a kid. If I was his son, I think I would be able to tell him anything, and he would understand and be supportive of my decisions.

Star Tsui, 13, SKH Tsang Shiu Tim Secondary School

Bolting ahead

I want record-breaking athlete Usain Bolt to be my dad, because who better to practise running with than the fastest man in the world? I really enjoy running, so it would be great to learn from the best. And if my school ever held a parent-student relay race, we would definitely win – and break the school record, too!

Tiffany Kwok Yin-ting, 13, Shatin Tsung Tsin Secondary School

Dream team

No question: I’d want singers Drake and Nicki Minaj to be my parents. They are both talented, chart-topping rappers and they’ve known each other since the beginning of their careers, so they would make a good team. It would be a dream come true if I were their daughter.

Saba Iftkhar, 16, St Margaret’s Girls’ College, Hong Kong

The ball is in my court

I would want Emma Watson to be my mum because she is an amazing, gorgeous actress and I’m a huge fan of hers! I would also want basketball star Michael Jordan to be my father, because he is a brilliant player and could teach me a few tricks.

Kitty Chan Ka-ki, 12, Hong Kong Chinese Women’s Club College

A lively relationship

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. Blake has an amazing fashion sense, and I’d love for her to give me a cool movie star makeover. It would also be awesome to be able to tell people my dad is the Deadpool star – I would be the envy of the whole school. They have two kids already, so I know they’d make kind, devoted parents.

Kyoko Mak, 17, Worker’s Children Secondary School

Delicious choice

I am not saying that my parents aren’t cool, but it would be great if chef Gordon Ramsay was my dad. Just imagine all the tasty dishes and enticing smells that would welcome you when you return home from a stressful day at school. Plus, I know he isn’t as mean as he seems to be on TV!

Ally Chan, 16, Baptist Lui Ming Choi Secondary School

Magical times

I want J.K. Rowling to be my mum, because I’m a massive fan of the Harry Potter books. If she was my mum, I would be able to suggest ideas for her stories, and I would get to read them before everyone else in the world. She might even create a character and name it after me. And then I would get to be in one of her stories!

Chan Lok-ching, 13, Immaculate Heart of Mary College
