Dear Health Department Epidemiologist, Informatics Specialist, or Analyst,
You are cordially invited to the first EPI (Elevating Public Health in Illinois) Retreat for Illinois epidemiologists, informatics specialists, and those who work in these capacities.
The purpose of this retreat is to bring together state and local epidemiologists, health informatics specialists, and those conducting epidemiological work in Illinois to develop the Illinois Epidemiology and Health Informatics Data Capacity Initiative. With this initiative we plan to create working groups, come up with priority areas of focus, develop work plans that align with one another, and brainstorm ways to build data capacity in Illinois
The EPI Retreat will be held on October 10, 2019 from 8:30 am to 1:00pm at TechNexus in the Lyric Opera of Chicago Building located at 20 N. Upper Wacker Drive, Suite 1200, Chicago, Illinois , 60606. Attendees who are unable to join in-person will be able to call in the meeting in groups at IDPH Regional Offices.
The planning committee includes members from the Cook County Department of Public Health, Chicago Department of Public Health, DuPage County Health Department, Lake County Department of Health and Community Health Center , the Medical Research Analytics and Informatics Alliance, the Northern Illinois Public Health Consortium, and the Illinois Public Health Association.
