RSVP Survival by Degrees: Birds on the Brink Briefing (Oct. 16th at 12pm)
Birds are telling us it is time to take action on climate. A new study from National Audubon Society scientists shows that the majority of North American bird species are at risk of extinction from climate change. Our latest report shows that our birds are more vulnerable than ever from rising temperatures and climate-related events like sea level rise, droughts, fires, and extreme weather. The good news is that our science also shows that if we take action now we can improve the chances for the majority of species at risk from climate change.

Join Audubon on October 16 for a rich discussion on how to advance policies in the United States that respond to the scale of the climate challenge. Audubon’s president and CEO, David Yarnold, will moderate a conversation with Rep. Francis Rooney (R-FL) and Rep. Alan Lowenthal (D-CA), leaders on addressing our climate crisis.

The moderated conversation will be followed by a discussion with Dr. Chad Wilsey, VP of Conservation Science, and Dr. Brooke Bateman, Senior Scientist, Climate at Audubon to highlight the findings from this report. Join Audubon and connect with leading policymakers and scientists on the latest research, future impacts, and what you can do to protect birds and people.

This briefing is open to the public.
